Like in Earthbound how the Final Boss starts with 8bit music, respectful to NES hardware limitations. Then the guitar gets in and the song starts and you shit your pants 3 times as hard.

I'm coming up with a story that makes Shadow the main character, and I imagine that Shadow and Knuckles, in their Super forms, are fighting the big arms robot, infused with the power of the Master Emerald, and after attacking him, enter their Hyper forms.

It's because Sonic is what's called a 'hengeyokai' -- an animal people spirit. Japanese myth is full of those... so it's like, Sonic returning to his conceptual roots as a tricky critter.

First of all, it wasn't even version 1. The real version 1 was only shown behind closed doors and on an old poster covered up by shadows, not in any public trailer. We only have leaked pictures of it. Second, I would have preferred we get a new Sonic design for the movie, instead of just copying the one from the games with more realistic textures applied. The old model was good, actually. You folks just look at the infamous screaming frame, which does look uncanny but still more expensive than the final version, and use it to dismiss that design as a whole, and that's no good!

First of all, it wasn't even version 1. The real version 1 was only shown behind closed doors and on an old poster covered up by shadows, not in any public trailer. We only have leaked pictures of it.
Second, I would have preferred we get a new Sonic design for the movie, instead of just copying the one from the games with more realistic textures applied. The old model was good, actually. You folks just look at the infamous screaming frame, which does look uncanny but still more expensive than the final version, and use it to dismiss that design as a whole, and that's no good!

The spiked warrior, Sonic, skin made blue from travelling faster than light, VS a maniacal egg-shaped scientist. With his knowledge, the evil genius created machine after machine to take down his deep blue nemesis. However, the Egg Man's devices could never best Sonic, and they'd always be inevitably destroyed. One day, however, the Egg Man's genius struck once again, and harder than ever before.
After months of tinkering, his greatest creation was finished. His signature vehicle, the one he used to fly through the air and combat Sonic, had been modified. Massive metalic arms extended from its sides, and a crimson jetpack molded to its back side. "It's perfect!" The Egg Man cackled. "He'll never stop me now!" The Egg Man jumped inside his capsule, prepared for battle
