- trying the @PantheonLongboards Nexus for the first time ever! Genuinely surprised by how easy to ride this board is. Also very cool to bump into my friend, made the video a lot more interesting haha.

So when I said the stability is similar, I meant the "center point". The trucks just had the same rigid center as they would on a top mount.
What was different is how the trucks turns/dives a way from that center. It does it way slower than on a top mount - which is why I was complaining about the turn in/dive. Wasn't nimble at all. On a top mount, this turn in would happen quicker, and the truck would react more to your input.
In this way the double drop has the illusion of more stability? Or it gives you more stability that way?
The truck doesn't dive suddenly, but in a slower way, feeling more controlled? I can see this being useful for a beginner who is getting used to how a truck turns and leans. But for me, I'm so used to the nimbleness of a top mounted truck that it feels normal, so this isn't that important ...
If a beginner tried my top mount board, they would feel uncomfortable by the quick rate of turn and change in direction.
Anyway, what Im saying is, the double drop def is more forgiving and stable feeling than what I alluded to in the video. Just wanted to clear that up so it's clearer how I feel about this board. In the moment I can't organize my thoughts perfectly.
Whats your experience with double drops?
the Pranayama or Trip is too small for me. I love my Pantheon Quest (similar length to Nexus), but i only do Distance and i cant slide, although this certainly made me want to try!!
that smile really does say it all. got this board because of your review and am wearing a similar smile after the buttery slides
downhill slides.. holding a selfie stick. bonus points for that.
I enjoy drop-through sometimes, forces you to be very deliberate with the lines you take compared to something more nimble.
🤙🏼 *I love Pantheon decks!* 🤙🏼
Thoroughly enjoyed watchin this! More!!!
Looks fantastic. Looking at the dimensions and wheelbases, it's fairly similar to my Bustin Sportster 35. Definitely a good option for those of us with larger sized shoes. Very cool to watch someone learning slides.
Double drop + raked trucks w/ ultra soft Venom HPF barrels = magic carpet. Double drops tend to suit a carvier & more leany style, where slides are initiated less by a kickout and more by weight transfer. For me this makes drops/double drops a very fun option on roads with flowy turns, where you can almost just lean with the road and be in a skid.
I think it’s was almost 2 years ago I started watching your content, thanks for sticking with it and bringing more content! Thanks and wish you all the best!
I built a cruiser based off of your videos and man it floats, best ride I’ve ever had.
Are those 180mm Bear trucks or 155mm?
I heard with truck width 180, this board is prone to wheel bite, but then again 155 seems a tad too narrow. The recommendation is 165 Paris trucks but I have Paris 180's at home and ordered the deck today so just wondering :-) Thanks!
love your content dude
My new fav yt channel
Really enjoyed the video I like to my my trucks really loose and never get speed wobbles 50° works pretty good for me
I wish the roads in the uk looked like that. I’d be terrified of being killed by an enormous pothole here.
love the video!! are those peralta wheels?
Hey! Which trucks are you using on this thing for downhill? Looks like Bears - I want to get into downhill as well and still have some Bears (Gen6, 50 degrees), would that work? If yes, I could save a lot of money, since I just had to buy the deck :)
Those will work perfectly!! Happy skating
I have a drop through board and I can't get the Coleman slide for the life of me. I can do the shut down/ push up stop.
Which wheels where you using on the nexus? It seems the Cuei killers, right?
i use a regular skateboard just to do tricks
Awesome video man thanks for posting. Easiest sub ever
What wheels are you using?
How about using this board as a 15 mile commuter everyday through the city? Is there a better Pantheon board you'dd reccomend over this? Thank you!!!!!!! I'm 6 foot 167 lbs btw...,
What about the pockets formed by the drops? Do those help in foot positioning?
I own one and yes. Your front foot is angled around the drop to keep your toes in the pocket. It's also a good indicator for back foot placement while in a tuck.
Yup
More Vinny
What’s your height and weight?
Know how you feel about sharing sweaty gear lol
It's torture if I'm honest
Where are you located?
