I had a CoverBuddy for ages too but the contact points fell out - similarly to yours! I was looking to see if I could find a MOFT comparison, and it seems your video answered it for me. Gonna get myself one!
After reading the reviews and experiences between both the MOFT Snap Case and SwitchEasy CoverBuddy, your video made it pretty clear on which one to get. Just ordered the MOFT one!
Right on! I think you made the right choice, The MOFT Snap Case seems to be more solid and the texturing on the back feels much better in hand. Let me know what you think when you get it.
hands down, the moft one is the ideal choice. i had had it since january for my 11 inch ipad pro to use alongside my magic keyboard, and it's been perfect. it adds great grip for when i release it from the keyboard. one downside is that the volume buttons are covered by the plastic jutting out from the pencil holder so pressing the button down is harder as its harder to reach whilst trying to press them. if you're feeling brave and want to dremel it off, it might work
I just wish a company would design one without the plastic piece covering the volume buttons from the front. Thats the only reason I steared away from coverbuddy and moft does the same exact thing lol 🙄 Nice review!
I had a SwitchEasy cover buddy cause its the only one that has a White option! I recently broke it part of the pen holder from a fall, so that sucks. Your video was perfect timing to really have me decide what to get. Ill take my chances off the Moft for now. But for my experience the SwitchEasy one lasted very long for me and didnt have an issue with the pins. Thaaanks for the vid!
I've had the MOFT one for about 5 months now, The pins are starting to not respond, no matter how much I clean them it will just stop responding randomly I don't know if mine is defective or something, I do want to buy another MOFT one but I'm not sure anymore, i don't want to take chances with the coverbuddy one. So, what do you recommend?
I would try contacting MOFT before you buy another one. I haven’t dealt with their customer service but mine has been working great. Hopefully they can help you.
I just measured both with a micrometer. The CoverBuddy is about 1.25mm thick on the edges and the MOFT is about 1.40mm. I can see with the naked eye and notice it in hand that the MOFT is thicker even though .15mm doesn’t seem like a big number.
@@Keith44SWC Thanks for the reply. I just ordered the CoverBuddy yesterday as Mott seems to discontinue the Snap Cover. I can’t find it anywhere online in Singapore.
@@igornyoman9840 my kid has been using for a while. It’s annoying that sometimes it blocks the iPad and keyboard connection. My kid needs to take off it to use the keyboard. Sometimes it works. I still don’t know what is causing the disconnection. I have tried to clean the connecting pins. Now the cover is not attached to save the hassle. I still let my kid to attach it to take to school to secure the Pencil and protect the iPad. But she needs to take it off if it stops working again.
Is the MOFT compatible with an iPad Air 13 in M2? And when attached to the iPad and the Magic Keyboard, does the case prevent charging connection between the Magic Keyboard and the iPad when the cable is plugged into the keyboard? If you have a glass screen protector, will the iPad not close completely with the keyboard?
@@Unlikelyjellyfishany other LT issue with the moft? Heard there was a less connectivity vs the magic keyboard after a while. Not sure if you have a similar experience.

The MOFT has not let me down, I’m still quite happy with it.

Thank you for the review, I couldn’t find this two model comparison review in TH-cam too. Thanks a lots
You’re welcome :)
Thank you for reviewing it, it's very helpful!
Fyi the Moft is still doing great, I love it.

have look at Pitakas MagEZ Case. That one just covers the Ipad and not the pencil so it does not have the plastic piece and also looks way better!

Great video! Do you think it is possible to use the snap case along with the glass protection? Would the Magic Keyboard close regularly? Thanks
I'm not sure I follow, do you mean a glass screen protector?
@@Keith44SWC correct!
@@marcotroisi5360 I have a screen protector on mine and it fits with no issues.

I would check the MOFT website for compatibility info.
Thanks! The cat and dog were cool too
Nice review thank you very much!
Hi, what is your thickness of the glass screen protecter?
It is a ZAGG InvisibleShield. I’m pretty sure it is around .4mm thick.
@@Keith44SWC thank you,i ask this is to ensure the ipad pro can be closed with the magic keyboard together with the thin case and glass protector
The i reason why I go for coverbuddy instead is because it has the white colour and it is cheaper
does the MOFT Snap Case work with the $99 smart folio from apple?
I’m not sure, sorry. I don’t have the smart folio.
Any long term issues with the MOFT?
No, I still use it and it works great.
@@Keith44SWC I find the volume buttons hard to reach and am thinking about cutting back some of the nearby plastic support

Really wanna know how the moft one cuz the switcheasy its utter bollocks, also their screen protector
The Moft one has been great, no complaints thus far.
2023, still someone is using iPhone 4😂, good to see tho, just curious most apps wouldn’t work on the old system
