Hearing this song made me remember one of my youngest childhood friends. He was my neighbor who lived with his mom who was dating my cousin who was renting the house. Goo Goo Dolls were really popular then, and I remember once that our fathers came up in discussion. Neither of ours was around much, but my friend Sean told me that his dad was the singer of the Goo Goo Dolls and that he was coming to pick him up soon-and he actually did move a couple of weeks after that. We ended up going to middle school together and in 6th grade, Sean's real father killed himself in a police standoff.. It's still easy to remember sunny days in the 90s with good music on the radio, and I guess I have always associated Goo Goo Dolls with a time when life seemed so hopeful before reality set in.

I was just thinking about this song an hour ago. This was one of my favorite songs when I was 13. I would call into the radio station and request it, then lay on the living room floor with my head by the radio and wait. My heart aches deeply when I hear it. If I could go back, there is so much that I would change.
We all make misstakes, some big and some small. That´s a part of life and there´s no way to make them undone. But we can learn from them and perhaps avoid to do them again. That´s called wisdom and even if your heart aches now it will get better. That´s also a part of life. I´ve hade my part of both misstakes and heartaches but it´s make me wiser. One day your heart will be healed, you just have to live through the pain for a while. Music can help your healing and to get you through the pain. Just hang in there.
