Nice tutorial. I ended up setting my Maxon Noise Input (Source set to World) Overall Scale to 200 just to see the noise. Might be due to my scene scale or because this tutorial is 2 years old and there have been lots o' changes in that time to RS. 😅
I wish I knew too... Did you find a solution ? I found this tutorial th-cam.com/video/1rooNGxXlck/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=Effectatron but it seems to work only with "real" textures, not any volumes or environment
Do you have Redshift set as your renderer? It works fine for me in the latest c4d, the VOLUME setting on Area lights have moved though, but should work just the same otherwise
Great question iman! As it's a bit hard to give you a good answer here in the comments, any chance you could post your question on our Facebook Group and one of our community members can give you a hand;) If you could post some screenshots of your issue too that would be super helpful! Newest redshift the attributes have changed in the lights. Contribution scale is a bit confusing and under the details tab?
Awesome tip. Thank you
No worries, cheers Ivan!
looking good! I always use FBM. but the tips on the contrast and scale are good little nuggets.
Awesome!
Great result, straight to the point, perfect!
Cheers mate! Glad it helped ;)

Nice one, they do tend to change things pretty often
very nice. thank you! one question: there is a speed to animate that noise … but ist there also a way to loop it?

Link project does not work =)
When I create the material it says "material not valid" and the noise and such doesn't seem to work. Any fix?

Does anyone know how can I apply same noise in Houdini for my redshift volume?

⚡️
theres no volume in 2024 area light now LOL,, trying to figure what that will be...
I'll do a tutorial soon with the new workflow
what Redshift version are you using ?
The latest version
or, just go under create > redshift materials > utilities > redshift noise volume.
done.
👍
mine is insanely grainy
Might need to sample up or add some denoising
First
very nice, thank you!
