Do you have a favorite Christmas or holiday cookie tea biscuit you enjoy for afternoon tea? Perhaps a traditional family treat? Let me know in the comments if you have a favorite you bake every year!

I make my grandmothers' gingersnap cookies, with a recipe from the 1930s Carnation Lady's Cookbook!

@sonyavs455 The traditional Christmas cookies in the UK, and especially Scotland, are Shortcake Biscuits, aka Petticoat Tails. I shall be making Petticoat Tails in the next week or so.

The cookies look wonderful. And your holiday. China is just so much fun.. I got a advent calendar this year with flavored teas. I’ve been drinking a cup every day. They’re actually quite nice.

Cherry and almond.. classic combination! Have you ever tried Bakewell Tart? Crisp pastry, raspberry jam and almond frangipane. Perfect for tea.

Thank you for showing how so few ingredients make a pretty looking cookie! I've learned much from your videos. To the point, I must admit, I may actually take tea the next time I visit a friend who is quite an afternoon tea aficionado.😃

These almond macaroons look like the thumbprint cookies that I make. If I can find the almond paste I am going to try making your recipe. I’m all about easy recipes as well and this looks especially tasty too! Thanks for giving us another wonderful idea to make a festive looking tea table!

One of my favorite tea cookies that I will be doing in a future video, is shortbread. Simple, about 3 ingredients, and if you roll out the dough and use a cookie cutter, it can be made into beautiful Christmas trees (or any other festive decoration), for your holiday table! Enjoy!

They look gorgeous. Love the ones with the cherry on the top.
I have never seen extra large eggs or almond paste in the shops. Almond paste is available from specialist retailers here, but none close to where I live. 😢I have seen a recipe for making it though.
I'm with you on the cookie spoon. I don't know how they expect you to pipe a mixture that thick. I have some non-stick baking paper that seems to work quite well. (Nothing has stuck to it yet anyway). 😁😁
Ah, the old 'All ovens vary' problem with cooking time. I do wish they'd standardise ovens.
Psst. What did you do with the egg yolks? 😁

I put a link in the description box for the brand of almond paste I used, but that’s here in the US. I just happened to pick it up at my local Walmart. But you are right, it’s not always easy to find. If you’re REALLY industrious, some people make their own! Almonds and sugar are the main ingredients. As for the egg yolks, I personally enjoy scrambled eggs for breakfast- it’s easy to pop in the extra yolk for a rich plateful! ✨😁
