July Journal Challenge

  • Another month in my personal stash buster challenge. The brown bag contained a huge amount of paper and so I was a bit daunted as to how I could use it all. But thanks to some tremendous ideas from the Hither and Yon Studio, along with some I have been developing to teach in workshops this Autumn, I used just about all of it! There are plenty of ideas within the journal for standalone wallets and folders so I hope it will act as a resource for ideas. I used my sewing machine for many of the folders and wallets, not sure that this comes over in the walk through video.
I have used Eileen Hull's Full Size Journal die as my base and made the spine 6 columns wide and the inside spines 3 wide. This made for a massive book to fill and needed some straps to hold it together on the main spine - some small bits of Tim Holtz Grunge Board came to the rescue!
