Well it is a great news as she sees it. All I got is that without surplus ( 1% really?) they are signing contracts with other countries. Where that wheat will come from??? Magically farms will produce more? I don’t think so; they will take it from their own people. Nothing to be proud about, but she has her own views.

Wheat production is 3% less in India so I don't think we can export much wheat.
Farmers didn't grow much wheat this year becuz the price was not very high last year and everyone grew mustard so mustard production was up by 22%.

His and his party's views are in complete disagreement with those of Gandhi's. His party BJP is in favour of Gandhi's murderer. VICE also made a video on the rising problem of authoritarianism and hate speech mindset in the Right Wing Indian political parties.

Once India went around the world for in 1960s for grains ( wheat), cooking oil, rice etc to meet its needs; I am happy to see India met its food supply in surplus; India needs a well defined energy policy and now is the time since world is fighting over energy supply.

India can be major food exporter with respect to other grains also. Millions of tons of food grains rot every and go waste in the FCI godowns. Even if India cannot compete with China in technology product export, it can certainly do better than China as a provider of food for many countries in the world. Many thanks for speaking about such a major opportunity for India.

I can see Ukraine not being able to produce wheat but Russia does not have any military intervention that could affect wheat farming. Maybe NATO countries may prefer to starve rather than buy Russian wheat?

    • @yeablahawesome4921

Well I mean considering russia just lost trillions from being shut off from the world even if their wheat industry was not sanctioned they probably need everything they can get for their own people and if they take Ukraine they need food for the civilians left their. As it stands right now Russia doesn't even have enough to feed their soilders as many of them have been found to be eating expired ready to eat meals from like the 60's

What makes you think the United States needs Russian wheat ? American soil is plentiful and some of the most fertile in the world. The only thing we might be in need of is fertilizer which the largest exporter of fertilizer is Australia. Russia may be the largest exporter of wheat but their main buyer is Egypt. The 2nd and 3rd largest exporters of wheat are Canada and the United States. So what makes you think america will be effected? we don't care about Russian wheat. It should be no issue for India to quickly increase its wheat output you guys have a slave population of 18.4 million

@@mohasat01 is the United States not part of nato? Last I checked they were which means if the United States has enough to eat so shall the rest of nato. That is what I'm saying. The United States will not allow nato to go hungry as long as the United States has the ability to help its allies it will continue to do so. What good would a defense alliance be if they are malnourished? I'm pretty sure that would make them more of a liability than a defense partner. That is what I'm saying. You said nato must not care if they starve. That is why I brought up the fact that Russia may be the number 1 exporter of wheat but numbers 2 and 3 are the US and Canada both of which are nato members.
