This team is insane. 2 High attack wall-breakers, A defensive wall, A specially defensive wall, and 2 speedy threats. Perfectly balanced. immunities to ground and poison. Bugsy's really owning this tournament. Defeating Will and Jasmine was already impressive but defeating Clair with all of her advantages over bugs is just amazing and now he's in the finals facing off against Silver. Win or lose Bugsy has truly made his talents known so much so if I had the authority I would make him the new 7th or 8th gym leader in Johto if not one of the new Elite Four. I'm definitely looking forward to the finals and I'm rooting for the underdog! Go win it all Bugsy!
My prediction: Clair got this. Bugsy is really weak against fire attacks, two of his most defensive pokemon are 4-times weak against it, the rest isn't defensive enough. And Clair has a Charizard and plenty of other pokemon with super-effective attacks. SPOILER: Wow, I was so wrong. This wasn't even close. Completely underestimated Bugsy. The fact that he could set up Stealth Rock and Clair couldn't (at least not permanent) really made a huge difference. Bugsy pretty much won the battle in the early game. Putting up Stealth Rock, toxic Gyarados, taking out Garchomp without him killing a single of Bugsy's pokemon... Really well played! Happy to see a Bug-team putting up such a great tournament!
This is amazing, all I can think of is how in game Bugsy has a kukuna with tackle, and how now it's a mega beedrill that destroyed everything, and survived! Plus, prior generally think of the bug type as weak and the dragon as strong, so what an upset. Silver, Pryce, and Bugsy have impressed me so.
Bugsy has gone up against Will, Jasmine and now Clair, with insects. If anybody can get a KO against a Ho-Oh when they have three pokemon who are 4x weak to it's STAB it would be Bugsy...but I'm not putting money on it.
That fortress surviving the earthquake and pulling off the rapid spin was the key moment of this match. That shuckle should definetly have sticky web tho. It'll help to have speed control against silver!
That... was a surprise. Bugsy has gone way up in my opinion. Seriously just wow. These tournaments deserve so much love man! Keep doing the great things your doing with this because the inner little kid in me is freaking going crazy each time a video comes up!
Can we get a moveset and abilities for both teams? Im interested in building some but the true power videos do not give a specific move set to have for this team.
Claire absolutely WASTED two perfectly good Pokémon there. Garchomp should have predicted the Yanmega switch and double danced, and Salamance deserved to be more than bee fodder!
Most people: bugsy was so easy, he stands no chance Bugsy: *proceeds to get to the finals of the true power tournament, and wreck a team of dragon and flying types*
IM SHOOKETH! if you told me when I was 12 thats a bug type team would one day take out a DRAGON type team I would have laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed at'chu buttttt WOW that happened!
It's dragon vs. dragonfly! Bugsy has surpassed the expectations of many, including myself, to get this far ... but this is as far as he goes in the main bracket. Clair is very skilled at using her Fire and Rock coverage moves, as we saw against Pryce, which won her a battle against the odds. Bugsy's team doesn't handle Fire well, and Clair might be able to use Flying type STAB here, as well. Likewise, Mega-Beedrill won't be the force that it was in previous battles, as none of Clair's Pokemon are weak to its moves, and she has Intimidate to take the edge off of it. Bugsy has a small chance of winning, provided that he can get Stealth Rocks up early, keep them up throughout the battle, score lots of hits with Rock-type coverage, stave off a Fire-type attack or two with Sturdy, and only use Mega-B when Clair is weakened from both battle and Stealth Rocks. In all other scenarios, Bugsy loses, with his weakness to Fire being the chief factor. Edit: Unbelievable! Bugsy did it again! The biggest dark horse in the tournament! Like I predicted, getting the rocks up early and only deploying Mega-B when Clair's Pokemon were weakened was key. Clair fell into every single trap he set; she made so many mistakes, I don't know where to begin, but most of the battle was won and lost when Garchomp was on the field. If it had used Swords Dance a second time instead of falling into Bugsy's prediction, or used its last turn to set up the rocks again, Clair would have taken this.
@@thatguymike7401 I said Bugsy could win if he did things like keep Stealth Rocks up and saved Mega-Beedrill for when Clair's Pokemon were worn down, both of which he did. Clair would have taken this easily if she hadn't made every single prediction wrong, which can turn just about every battle away from its most likely course.
@@blitz4779 Not only that, Bugsy is actually known as "The Walking Bug-Type Pokémon Encyclopedia" the dude is dedicated to his chosen type and knows it like the back of his hand, if there is a trainer that will know how to apply the best qualities and advantages of Bug-Type Pokémon no matter the situation is definitely him. That actually reminds me of the anime where Bugsy due to his training, research, and passion for Bug-Type Pokémon managed to figure out a way for his Scyther to neutralize Fire-Type attacks such as Flamethrower (while boosting it's own attack power at the same time), the only other example that I can recall of someone doing something similar like that was freaking Blaine from Cinnabar who could neutralize Electric-Type attacks. That's right, Bugsy at such a young age was already pulling moves like those of one of Kanto's most experienced and knowledgeable Gym Leaders (the same Gym Leader whose scientific knowledge played a crucial role in the creation of Mewtwo itself).
I don’t remember the parody name but all I’m thinking of is the mix of the super optimistic Shuckle going “It’s Shuckles times now.” and Pikachu Rustys super angry Beedrill.
That's my boy. :) 👏👏🎉🎉🎉🎉⭐ I mean, what can you say really! Lol Between Mega Beedrill, Shuckle, Heracross & Scizor: Bugsy's team has some real class & swagger behind them. Which I believe best represents the trainer there. And let's just name, Shuckle the MVP of this battle against Clair for getting up those pivotal toxics and stealth rocks! (Which crippled her team substantially). Mega Beedrill was the MVP of the last battle for Bugsy vs Jasmine with its drill run too. What a run for a team I had a good feeling about since day one!! Another step closer, one more to go for the championship as a great underdog!! It'll be a toughie, but Bugsy hasn't given me any more reason to doubt him to this point. Clutch victories in the heat of the moment, and this man now thrives on the biggest stage. *Shrugging my shoulders* lol
The Clair player played very sub optimally; pushing the bugsy win. Out of 100 matches, Clair wins 80-85 of them. Never click EQ on singles with a flyer in the opposing party and letting rocks go early also mattered critically

Garchomp should have set up rocks again for its last move. Fortress and Yanmega would have died on entry.
Yeah
Damn, I was rooting for both Clair and Karen hoping that one of them would go further. But that mega beedrill is overall carrying his team
These matches are INTENSE. I always root for the underdog when two favorites clash!
Yo!! What an upset!! This series continues to be absolutely AMAZING!!
Admit it!
we all were underestimating Bugsy!
Silver VS Bugsy in the finals.
Rooting for bugsy! Well deserved!
I would love nothing more than to see Bugsy beat Clair in the anime, too. So cool seeing a bug type trainer do so well.
Jfc, this tournament delivers every goddamn time
This was really intense
Claire absolutely WASTED two perfectly good Pokémon there. Garchomp should have predicted the Yanmega switch and double danced, and Salamance deserved to be more than bee fodder!
Most people: bugsy was so easy, he stands no chance
Bugsy: *proceeds to get to the finals of the true power tournament, and wreck a team of dragon and flying types*
On top of a E4 member and a steel type trainer
this series never disappoints. thank you silph
Nobody expected Bugsy at the finals! GJ buddy!
I want Bugsy to win so bad but being realistic, Clair has to much coverage, I think Clair wins 2-0
Bugsy won!! Yay
Thought bugsy was going down. That stealth rock chomped through Clair, she didn't have any response to that
@@kevincredibles shows how important rapid spin is
@@blitz4779 100%. Shows Clair needs a little more training and awareness I guess
@@kevincredibles
He would have, if Clair had reset rocks.
I've been truly impressed by Bugsy's performance in this Tournament
Nani! Bugs beat Dragon! I can’t even deal! Wow impressive
Damn, you called it wrong in almost every way 😂😂😂
And... He actually won. I knew that bug types are the best uwu
@@AHEM1313 bugsy is considered one of the smarter gym leaders
I have GOT TO STOP underestimating Bugsy! That was incredible!!! I hope he goes all the way to the top!
I don’t remember the parody name but all I’m thinking of is the mix of the super optimistic Shuckle going “It’s Shuckles times now.” and Pikachu Rustys super angry Beedrill.
Dorkly series of if pokemon entries were real!!! (SHUCKLESSSSS!! AWWW YEAAHHH)
I like these kinds of matches where each trainer is neutral against each other instead of relying on their type mastery to pull them through.
I'm rooting for my boi Bugsy
Edit: HOLY OMASTAR! Bugsy played out of this world with those big brain switches!!! #TeamBugsy all the way
Beedrill has a decent 80 special defense
That was a hell of an upset my hats off to Bugsy
Bugsy is the biggest surprise this whole tournament do not expect him to get this far especially against a full dragon team.
The Clair player played very sub optimally; pushing the bugsy win. Out of 100 matches, Clair wins 80-85 of them. Never click EQ on singles with a flyer in the opposing party and letting rocks go early also mattered critically
Wow just wow what a great battle did not see him wining
I can't believe what I just saw, i mean, and really believe that everyone thought that Bugsy will lose with no hopes but this is insaneeeee, i can't believe this but i think bugsy had already a big plan for this match before it. What a mind! He had everything planned
This was unexpected... i think clair gave that match up with giving up garchomp to fast. Couldve lead with gyaraxos set it up with two dragondances take out forestress and shuckle then ser up stealth rock with garchomp and finnish off with charizard and salamance...
Holy F------ ----
This actually happened.
There's a colloquial expression somewhere in the world referring to high-flyers as "dragons" and underachievers as "bugs". Look what just happened here...
A history was written today.
Azalea Town Represent!
I cant wait for all the region's champions face off in a final epic battle. Best of the best vs best of the best🔥🔥🔥
Me at the start of the video...
Dang, Bugsy drew the short straw here, how is he gonna compete against 3 Pseudo Legendaries? Better make preparation for Silver vs Clair. But still rooting for Bugsy.
After the video: What just happened???
Hahahaha omg!!!! So crazy. I can’t believe Claire lost. Love to see the upsets
Win or lose, it's obvious Bugsy was holding back big time in the games xd
More like Pokemon Masters gave him just the extra push he needed
Bugsy making bug type trainers proud
RIP Forrestressssss the original hazard Mon.
This has got me back on showdown, I’m using a similar bug team. And doing ou with a mostly under ou team, the bugs win over half
Lets go bugsy the bug master
If Bugsy walks out the victor, I swear....
edit: WHAT IN THE NAME OF BUGSY?!
Wooo go Bugsy!
Clair - Noo that impossible! 😱
Bugsy - No its skill 😉
@@o0XS Yup Clair misplayed really hard that fight last move on garchomp stealth rock would have done soo much more. Fortress might have switched out if not she could go dragonite extreme speed kill it so that the hazard stays in my mind.
this... does bring a smile to my face
Now you understand. It was bugs that inspired ALL of pokemon. They have always been awesome.
I wasn’t expecting Bugsy to be such a great player in this tournament
The big question is... can Silver do what Will, Jasmine and now Clair couldn't? We'll be finding out soon!
No.
Bugsy is such a huge freaking dark horse this tournament, I love it so much :D I like Clair a lot but I was rooting for Bugsy because he's so cute and was so underrated because of his status as an early gym leader! Watching him sweep through everyone in his path so far at his full power has been so amazing and exciting!!
Never thought that Dragons got demolished by Bugs....lets set-up Bugsy against Lance one day
Shuckle is an absolute unit
Rooting for Bugsy to take the whole thing!
Who would have thought going into this tournament that a Shuckle and a Beedrill would come out as the tournament Defensive and Offensive MVPs?
I've said it before, I'll say it again: Newfound respect for Bug Types and Bugsy; also, Strategy>Power.
I think I just heard all the bug catchers celebrating in the forest near my house
Bugsy!!!!
Through in the cater-pie 🥧 😋
Never would have thought that could happen good game #NiceBattle
Bugsy made all bug lovers everywhere SUPER proud!! 💯 What a match!! 💪
Bugsy really making everyone respect them bug types!
Hmm, in retrospective, if Clair had attempted dragon fang instead of earthquake on the second turn, that would've likely turned the tide in her favor, considering it would've bought her 2 turns of swords danced Garchomp
Can we just agree to stop saying bug is a weak type? Between aDrive's videos and this tournament, I've become a believer.
I saw it was a short episode and just assumed Claire destroyed Bugsy. Little did I know it was Bugsy who brought the bodybag.
