Hello everyone, my name is Alexey, and my four-legged friend is Pyosel. Today I came back to my underground shelter. First of all, I turn on the light, take off the clothes from the dog and hang it up to dry. I kindle a fire in the oven.
Today I want to change the doors, they don't close all the way. I wear knee pads as I will be working on my knees. He closed the front door so that the cold from the su street did not enter the room. I remove the layer of wood with a planer, first on a small door, then on a large door.
The knee pads had to be removed, because when you sit for a long time, your legs begin to numb, the fasteners of the knee pads tighten the blood vessels of the legs too much.

Then I go to the fallen birch to cut firewood again. I left part of the firewood outside, and brought the other part inside so that the water would evaporate from them.

I was hoping he would get a pancake to instead of kibble but I'm glad he got something.
Winter survival tip, keep a can of sodapop with you in the cabin or while working outside the cabin, don't drink it or open it, you want it free from your body heat, if it explodes it will wake you from sleep an alert you to the dangerous temperature saving your life.
I used this tip in a 7 man tent during a blizzard deep in the michigan, us northwoods with -76° back in 2017, it works!

I hope you are safe in Texas with the crazy weather you are getting . these winters are nuts now. i recall winters here in maine where it was a normal winter to have 5 to 6 feet of snow, and negative temps for weeks. now its less than a foot. and mid 30's for winters. Nice work on the door!! You didn’t have to throw away your paint, it’s just frozen. Set it next to the fire so the heat can melt the frozen paint. It should melt while you work on something else, just check it occasionally to see if it has melted, then mix well. One normally doesn’t paint when it’s cold, but if you get the dugout warm enough the paint should dry well. Maybe wait to paint on a day that you will be at the dugout for a longer period of time. Glad you are stocking up on fire wood!

Lots of work in freezing temperatures but the dugout was snug. Food looked great but would have been even nicer with some maple syrup but each to his own. Pyosel is such a well behaved dog and of course that is all down to you. You have such a good friend and companion in him, a really lucky find for you both. Nice work on the new doors, they look great and very functional. The dugout is so cozy with the stove going. When I have trouble falling asleep, I think of coming in from the cold winter and getting warm by the stove. Love your vids and seeing all your hard work.
