It actually was beauty that killed the beast. Because he remembers that Kong had been trying to protect Ann Darrow all along. So he basically (I could be wrong) sacrificed himself to make sure Ann didn't get hurt.
The human deaths in this film are SAVAGE. Such a great film. More films need extras just getting gutted like this. Really makes you feel like this was a massive expedition that was left with only a handful of survivors by the end.
This movie is horrendously underrated. One of my personal favorites for sure. Seriously, this movie has some of the greatest visual effects (2005 film, keep in mind), stupendous action sequences, and a phenomenal story with wonderful actors. Makings of a masterpiece here.
One thing that this movie, at least I think it doesn't, get creditted enough for is creature design. I've seen a lot of movies like this, and although some of the creatures were interesting, I've never seen a movie with such amazing designs for animals. Take the Venatatosaurus Rex, or the Arachno-Claw, or the Piranhadon. Even if they were on screen for those measly fifteen seconds, they managed to create something unworldly. Even the stomach penis thing ( Carnictis). BTW, RIP Lumpy. You will be missed.
I remember growing up thinking King Kong was an amazing giant creature movie. This Count made me go back and watch it on Netflix. It's WAY more violent than I remember.
I saw this film the day it came out in theatres in 2005 when i was 11 years old, i grew up watching all the old Toho Godzilla films and the original 1933 King Kong with Willis O’Brians still amazing Stop Motion effects. When i saw this film it totally blew my mind, the CGI mixed in with practical effects still looks fantastic and it actually looks better than some in movies today, especially Andy Serkis incredible Motion Capture portrayal as Kong, he studied Gorilla behaviour for months and he did such a convincing performance that elicited so much emotion. You can really tell Peter Jackson grew up with the original, he put alot of love and hard work into this remake.
So many things great about this movie. Not many remakes can be as good as the original, and Peter Jackson had balls and genius under his belt! One great thing about this movie is that the dinos and monsters of skull island aren’t completely unstoppable. They’re big, they’re scary, but they aren’t bulletproof, like most monster movies.
The second guy eaten alive by the giant fish had the most beautiful fucking death of them all: he drowned (the most mentally distressing death) and was digested at the same time (as he was swallowed whole and so he also was burned alive by the fish's stomach acid, burning being the most painful death). Bravo Peter Jackson! Bravo!

it was also seen in predators like the you know the future predator you like the Big Bird actually died when he press the bomb and the bird was running at him and blew it up and chicken fry
Those raptors were huge! But I feel as if they don’t use their toe claw enough, the main reason raptors have the signature Sickle shape retractable talon on the second toe of each foot was to slash, stab, and grapple onto their prey, Jp raptors use em, the ones from Cowboys vs Dinosaurs use em, EVEN THE ONES FROM FLIPPING CARNOSAUR USE EM!
