- A customer almost returned a $32,000 A. Lange & Sohne watch because he forgot to use his $700 ebay discount code before making the purchase. Austin remedied the situation that ultimately resulted in another sale shortly thereafter.

This whole thing sounded like you were ablut to be scammed out of a ring and watch lol
Thought the same thing, at least the ring. Like he'd return the watch to get his money back and deny getting the ring.
Gotta love hearing about rich people getting expensive things for free!
Makes you upset huh? 😂😂
just business, once he gets to a certain size hes the one dictating deals
What he get for free?
Ye he got the ring for free after spending 32K 😂
No props for the small business closing a sale? No acknowledgment for the grade a customer service and repeat sale? Nah just a complaint about some bs. For all you know both men in this scenario have made countless sacrifices to get where they are.
Out of ALL my ebay experience i expected this guy to still return the watch and keep the ring 😂...
You got a good one...
the ebay horror stories are few and far between even in smaller markets
@@captainfancypants4933indeed even as a customer I bought a man omega on there for a very good price. Took it to omega for a service and it was fully gen. I was happy
@@captainfancypants4933 that is correct that it is a few... Cost of doing business I guess...
@captainfancypants4933 I sell jewellery on ebay for 13 bucks I ain't have had 1 refund.
100k on himself 700 on her sounds like a great dude
At the end of the day Customer service above all else. Well done. It's a master class on outstanding customer service. It helps you have a chill customer
Another takeaway from this is that the rich dude was using a coupon code, he watches his money, he probably earned it rather than inherited it. I hope he loves his watches.
You can’t cancel an item that has already been sent to authentication
Yeah, this seems like an advert disguised as a story.
he didnt cancel tho??
for items like this does Ebay work differently?
I don't trust selling anything on there. I sold an item for 1k and the buyer made a claim against me, saying it was damaged, while the package was still in transit.... had not arrived and he hadn't signed for it.
ebay sided immediately with the buyer. And he returned a empty box.
@@F41LZZzyes you ship to ebay first
@@F41LZZzfor anything that goes to authentication your job as the seller is to get it to ebay. Once it’s there your side is done and you’re getting paid no matter what
I love to see stuff like this as a car salesmen. Love honest work on our end being appreciated by customers. You got yourself a sub
Car salesmen are honest?
@@natrajpatil7779 yes. I’ve built an extremely lucrative living by building a business based around honesty and treating people the way they deserve to be treated
“honest work on our end” you mean doing the literal bare minimum?
I would love to meet a honest car salesman
Nice work man. And that Patek is crazy.
So cool, hearing a positive story, that the customer cared about you being a small business, win-win! 😊 🙌
Reasonable customer with empathy for you as a business person. Mutual respect.
Being honest, respectful, and willing to find a solution to any problem. Great job.
Damn who are your customers!
Senators and congressmen probably
Wow what an amazing story I'm so glad I heard it I can die happy now.
Yea but now you know how much of a great business man he is...
Customer service at its finest. If a business takes care of me I will always be loyal to them.
The way you told the story and the music in the background made me think in the end you got scammed 😅
Valuable lesson in treating customers right even when they may be in the wrong to then double-down on the win
Nice!! Great to hear an example of business done right. 👏👏
Subbed just for the decent example of humanity and the dope jewellery. Nice to see a scenario where everyone is happy even though mistakes were made
$30K for a watch? I’ll just get an unpaid intern to follow me around and their only job would be to tell me the time.
Dropped that much on new windows for my home
@@Gii1234 it was sarcasm - not about the cost of a watch - how obtuse are you to not get that you could have a live person just to tell you the time - sorry you’re not bright enough to connect the dots
@@lewissemajay8789 😂😂😂 bet you’re fun at parties, you fucking dickhead! 😂😂😂
@@lewissemajay8789 What an obnoxious response. Your sarcasm doesn't land. It just makes you sound salty and covetous. Sorry you're not bright enough to be able to afford a $30K watch, Lewis.
buy the intern a nice watch too, maybe in the £300 range, you'll still be well under 30k
This is so dam cool on so many levels for many different reasons lol
Shout out to everyone involved
Holy moly thats awesome.
That is c why you are in a growing business! You work around problems and use your expertise to demonstrate confidence the customers appreciate! You will always have loyal customers!
Everybody won! Thx for the positive vid!!!
I didn’t win, and it would’ve been more heartwarming if he bought it from a local mom and pop jeweler
You’re doing such a great job with these videos man! By the way, I’m in the market for a watch! How do I reach you?
Thank you! You can text us at 215-922-1501
I'll just say, that ring is beautiful. I'm not a big watch guy though
iv never seen a watch shop/dealer that sells 32,000 songe and lange watches also sell $700 aquamarine rings in my life. like the area of expertise between the two is so far apart its mindboggling.
but considering ur a small seller on ebay telling us this fascinating story while filming it in the basement of some construction site, it makes sense.
I thought this was going to be a story of the customer ripping the guy off. If someone can afford to pay $32,000 for a watch, are they going to care about $700...? Really?
Poor people need a deal, rich people love a deal.
That’s how he got $700 he care and paid attention to his money. Sounds like an intelligent person not to give away $700 for nothing when you don’t have to.
Yes, it's principle. Many really wealthy people got that way guarding their wealth and obsessing over investing it and growing it. So yes, they do. Many of them also HATE being ripped off for various reasons.
From my experience, they do care about 30$ if they could afford a 30k watch
he is full of poopoo the man lies on all his videos
Sharp!!! Not many left out here. The buyer too
Descent customer and I like his fair mindset...I hope he's enjoying his watches👍. And his wife her beautiful ring.
That's a hell of a compromise on both sides. Great job
Pure class! This is what customer service looks like, Rolex!
That is the way to do business! So few have that type of business sense.
Guy looks like he going to start talking about what drill he uses on site and starts talking watches lool
Left the part out where he found a "scratch" on the crystal and and asked for a partial refund on the patek
For a moment I thought this was a scammer 😂 Feeos good to actually see a Good Customer
FYI - That Patek is another $35k+ watch. Well done!
The cost of living crisis rolls on 😂😂
Dear Penthouse...
Good on you. Customer service has gone so far low nowadays it’s so hard to find a good place. That is just genuinely trying to help and genuinely trying to make a profit meeting in the middle is very important.
Good customer service goes a long way 👍
When you smart and arranging in business it always pays off
Yeah, because everyone on eBay is EXACTLY like this!
That’s what a great business owner does. Customer experience is the best long term investment. Helping one customer out for the price of a small hit can lead to a lot of future revenue.
How to do & run a successful business
Well Done...
Getting is always in Giving...
Nice watches, beautiful ring!
"But honey, I bought you a ring with the money I saved!"
Wowowww
Awesome for you at the business!!! ❤
Great job, I'm proud of you
That’s how normal people do business! You were both reasonable and rational adults. It’s getting harder to do business like this
Happy customers spend money and are usually repeat customers. More companies seem to forget this.
I remember watching some guy say that any store should accept the return of any item from any other store because they then have a happy person in their store with money and the store can easily send an employee to the correct store with the returned item and get a refund. The store isn't out any money other than a few bucks in gas.
He will be pawning that in no time.
Plot twist: the $700 voucher could not be used on the wath during checkout 😅
Great customer for great service….
eBay was the best online Market I used, but unfortunately they discontinued in India
its easy to tell a story to people even if its fake
Customer service always rules 👍
‘Langer’ 😂😂😂
bro cos of the background it seems like ur gonna talk about some construction related thing. when u started chattin i was bare surprised
that's mutual respect, RESPECT!
Gotta be careful tho. Who knows if he actually had a code or if he was lying.
When money isnt an issue; everybody gets blessed
Wait another month when that charge back hits.
Decency, (almost) lost years ago. Respect.
Hope he didn't forget the code the 2nd time around 😂
And he then gets robbed..happens a lot.
People still use eBay? They haven’t updated their website for 15 years
Turns out he didn't have a discount code
thought this was going to be about a scam
That ring is beautiful
Anyone else thought he was going to reveal a scam? 😂
I think he just wanted to cancel it because he had second thoughts.
John Deloreans daughter still has his luxury watch.
that customer has too much money
I never know ebahy had authenticator
I would love to know the margin on that watch. 😮
You’re awesome!
If you are fair and straight it will be reciprocated
I’m actually in the market for a used Omega Speedmaster, going to find you on eBay 👍🏻
So good to see middlemen getting over on their customers. All is right with the world.
Walk down the road with a 30k watch on and you may be in an ambulance. Better be packing.
totally real thing that totally happened.
The mark up is definitely big if hes like nah ill just give it too you
Good business manners🎉🌹🌷
I was waiting the scam to come out. It turned to be all good faith business.
"Reached out"
How did you 'reach out'? You asked - just asked
How business gets done. Even through the internet.
Yada yada yada….im building my new mansion!
The gondola is my favorite patek
Tha A Lange & Sohne is a different level. Everyone has a Patek , RM, or Rolex. The A Lange is a statement imho
So, construction workers are also boutique watch brokers? Gonna have my barber do my laser eye surgery. 😮
That background was confusing to me too...
He gets a $700.00 ring, plus he gets to use his discount code on another purchase !
Yea and then groundhog wraped chocolate in wraping…..
If this story is true, the buyer is the king of simps 😂
Hmmm… No Discount Code for the watch???
Expensive watches.....why ?????
Yeah, expensive is subjective but still worth asking
Now thats good business
I got a Timex.. how about giving me some money back... lol
A business selling a 32000 dollar watch is not a small business.
On today's episode on things that never happened...
I once ordered a timex for $30
