Well, we listen Beatles sometimes and we don't care, but we prefer Sotorytellers and music journey and not showing off, so we got Pedro Infante, Jorge Negrete, Miguel Aceves, Jose Alfredo Jimenez, Juan Mendoza, David Zaizar, Cuco Sanchez, Juan Gabriel, Christian Castro, Yuri, Ana Gabriel, Natalia Lafourcade, Aida Cuevas, etc.... and even our comics SINGS beautifull like: Tin Tan, Capulina, Polo Polo (lol), or what about really Mexican said NO To DISNEY like Francisco Gavilondo Soler "Cri Cri" who didn't send his music and comics to disney because he said his music was a LEGACY FOR CHILDS IN MEXICO. So, you should said listen Mexican music is an honor.
Vicente Fernández fue el cantante de ranchero más represantivo de México en muchos años su voz traspasó fronteras y muchos países latinos lo adaptaron cómo suyo👏👏🍀🍀
Chente had a powerful voice in his youth, a real powerhouse. . Here he is already old and weakened, but in total control, which is amazing for someone his age. Check his younger videos! Specially the live version of El Rey!
Yeah as a Mexican/chicano Vicente Fernandez has been and will always be a household name for years and decades to come. I have grown up around the mariachi culture here in Houston tx because of my dad and I remember always tagging along with him and mariachis , we would cram inside of a van (10-15 mariachis) from gig to gig but during this time I was young atleast from like 8yr old to like 12yrs old and then when they all needed new trajes (chorros) and we would go to different parts of Mexico but in the heart of Mariachi's go to. And I have a a pic of myself at 8 months old in 1987 beginning carried by Vicente Fernandez when him and my dad got to have lunch and my dad got to meet his idol . And I have stories from all the drunken fights and gigs they would go to lol. BTW if yall gunna say proof. I do have the pics of both him and my dad and him holding me
@@fourthdeconstruction What panzababy is trying to explain is that in his younger days he had a better voice as he got older his voice was not the same
You should react to a younger state of Vicente singing "Pero Sigo Siendo el Rey" or "Volver Volver Volver" to checo a good Level of his power voice, also a fun fact is His famous saying "I Will keep on signing as long as You keep claping", he meant It for real and an aunt of mine was witness, she went to a concert onba Saturday at around 8pm and he didn't stop signing until around 12:00 PM Sunday because people kept claping and requesting otra, otra, otra "oncore, oncore, oncore", my aunt said she was really tired at the end but well worth It 🙂
This songs makes me want to cry I do not why. It reminds me of my childhood I guess. I am not Mexican but all Latinoamericans have grown listening Vicente.
You know that he used to have a very loud singing voice that he sometimes needed to pull his mic far from himself. I love his music, mi ray you will always be in my heart I hope I could go to Guadalajara to visit his grave this year 🤧💙
Glad to be present at the reaction video which is amazingly cool and really adds insight, thank you for sharing the fun, success is always for you, good friend
Hello Beth we love you here in Mexico CDMX. And in especially me. I really like your reactions and I send you a big hug and kisses and blessings. Merry Christmas
I just finished watching your video Beth. As always, you never disappoint, excelent job. If you're interested, I suggest you listen Raphael or José José's versions of this song, I think you'll enjoy then. And If you're really interested, you can watch a Mexican impersonator, who also sings this song as many performers, his name is Gilberto Gless. That should be an interesting analysis to watch.
Hola Beth and thank you so much for your reations. I just found out a few days ago about this singer called Rita Payés, who recently recorded an album with her mother, Elisabeth Roma. Rita has a beautiful warm voice and her mother is a fantasic classical guitar player. Beautiful stuff in case you want to chek it out. Cheers and happy Christmas!
iM mexican but im not biggest fan of chente fernandez however he was an excellent singer one of the best in mexico btw Love ur videos im not a singer nor musician but i do sometimes record cover in my home just for fun n watching ur videos n how u explain vocal technics n that stuff have helped me to do a little better my covers !
Just texted my mom: "I'm watching TH-cam videos, and there's a voice coach that talks about different singers and she's talking about Vicente Fernandez singinf My Way. What else havent you told me?!"
Happy Holidays Beth Would like to see if you would react to a couple of songs by The Carpenter's. 1st Ave Maria Karen sings this beautifully that I get teary eyed. 2nd is Don't Cry for me Argentina. I'm lost with words when it comes to how talented Karen was. Have a safe New Year
I’d really love to see a react/analysis video of blues singers like •Freddie King - “Have you ever loved a woman” •Buddy Guy - “Damn Right I Got the Blues” Or one of Jackie Wilson “Higher and Higher” or “Reet Petite”
You should add Morgan Wade to your list. I’d suggest the “Our Vinyl Sessions” version of her song “The Night”. It’s about mental illness and substance issues and the battle that comes with them, her songwriting is incredible and you might have a similar reaction to her voice as you did Colter Wall (small spoiler). She has made big waves in the last couple years in the independent Country world and for a great reason. Also Charles Wesley Godwin, another independent country singer that has made big waves the last few years. His voice is so silky smooth but has this beautiful West Virginia/Appalachian edge. “Seneca Creek” is a story song that is SO amazing.

Please, react to Anna Maz!! I love her singing Wuthering Heights (from Kate Bush), but I also think she did amazing with the Phantom of the opera theme! She is a Brazilian contestant on our version of “All together now” TV show. Actually, she was the winner!
Please react to Cristiano Araujo - Você Mudou / É com ela que eu estou and Caso Indefinido He was one of the best singers of Brazil history and died 5 years ago. I'm sure I can talk for all brazilians when I say we miss him so much
React to “dolor” or “como Un Rey “ also he has a different style song more aggressive like el aracadas, la muerte de Un gallero etc. I would like to see a reaction to one of those songs
good music and song. "my way" is not a typical Mexican ideal or theme of any kind(maybe for ol blue eyes). Gods way, that is Mexican. thanks BMG musica Mexico(sarcastic)
that more people see this video, so that the others react, they don't copy the same video as if it were THE VIDEO volver volver", the old one, although I don't understand why it always..."volver volver "... has more songs or equally representative for Mexico, and several are more modern, made in the 2000s -2010s
My Way was not French, it was written by Canadian singer / songwriter Paul Anka with Frank Sinatra in mind. Sinatra was hesitant to record it at first, but obviously he did record it & it became one of his signature songs. Elvis Presley also recorded it.
Thank you for your comment. You are right that Paul Anka wrote the English lyrics for My Way with Frank Sinatra in mind. However, the song was originally a French song called Comme d’habitude composed by Jacques Revaux with lyrics by Gilles Thibaut and Claude François and first performed in 1967 by Claude François. Paul Anka heard the French original while on holiday in France and acquired the rights to adapt it. He changed the lyrics completely and made them more personal to Sinatra’s life and career. :)
You should react to more Mexican artists, there is so much talent and versatility. Temerarios, Banda MS, luis Miguel, Reik, Juan sebastian, los bukis, etc etc.
Hello, dear Miss Beth. I saw your interesting reaction for the song.. I promise you.. From Mohsen Yeganeh. But I did not see it on your channel. and you changed from years ago .🤔Mr. mm. h. Thanks
I'm an englishman and I love his music so much. I play it at work and I don't care.
Glad to hear that bro
Kudos for you!
Thank you very much englishman!
I work with a few English and they fuckn love him.

In Mexican music especially rancheras, boleros and mariachi the emotion in the tone of the voice tells the story.
