No sé cuántos años tienes tú, pero yo crecí viendo sus películas desde que era niña y siempre me gustó todo lo que ella hacía, la admiraba mucho. Lo único que dije es que cuando ella llegó a México, venía de una mala racha en la que hizo unas películas poco afortunadas digamos (como la de "Me siento extraña"). Rocio was an honorary Mexican and the Mexican people loved her so much that when she died, part of her ashes were laid to rest in the Basilica in Mexico City. Her family was willing to do that because she loved Mexico so much and because the people of Mexico loved her so much. After her death, Juan Gabriel had a section in his concerts where he sang songs that he had either written for her or sung with her and would display her image on all the screens. I was fortunate to have seen both Rocio Durcal and Juan Gabriel in concert. If you ever do another song by Rocio I recommend "Como Tu Mujer" which was probably (after this song) her biggest hit.

Her first work was as an apprentice at a beauty salon. Second, movie star in the 60s, a cinema legend. She worked with Juan Gabriel in the 70s and she became also a legend in Mexican/Latin American music. I don't think she ever worked with Camilo but they were close friends.

As a violin student it helps me so much watching your analisis and videos, I have found yours the best since you go into interpretation, dynamics, tone and technique. The violin and voice are more similar than people tend to think. Most other "vocal coaches" just limit themselves to "Wows" and don't say much, making me doubt they are really vocal coaches. Sir, with all due respect, I don't know what you heard: the recording from your perspective may have sounded fine but, as I commented to Beth, she sounded okay and I could sort of hear the instrumental part but the lady sounded as if she was singing through.water. As you should be able to read in the reply to my comment, I was not the only person to experience this problem.
I went back to read your comment and the replies, rewatched the video but I didn't seem to have this problem. I apologize but I don't know what went wrong.

Thank you for your accurate description and clear appreciation of Mexican songs. Rocio was an honorary Mexican and the Mexican people loved her so much that when she died, part of her ashes were laid to rest in the Basilica in Mexico City. Her family was willing to do that because she loved Mexico so much and because the people of Mexico loved her so much. After her death, Juan Gabriel had a section in his concerts where he sang songs that he had either written for her or sung with her and would display her image on all the screens. I was fortunate to have seen both Rocio Durcal and Juan Gabriel in concert. If you ever do another song by Rocio I recommend "Como Tu Mujer" which was probably (after this song) her biggest hit.

Beautiful... I've known this song growing up as rocios' but juan gabriel wrote it. One of the best songwriters for decades in the culture. Love them both, both amazing. I also love how you, "Beth Roars," are engaged in the universal language of music.

Her first work was as an apprentice at a beauty salon. Second, movie star in the 60s, a cinema legend. She worked with Juan Gabriel in the 70s and she became also a legend in Mexican/Latin American music. I don't think she ever worked with Camilo but they were close friends.

One of the backing vocalists was her sister, so it sounded similar to her voice. Let me tell you that she barely needed any back up vocals.
