I haven't played since the patch, playing Guild wars 2 where buildcraft is a lot more fun! But if I were to go back to ESO, of course I would play a Hybrid, because with the combining of stats, buffs, and universal skill damage scaling, quite literally every build in the game is a Hybrid.
Maybe. Honestly I believe that full stam/magicka builds will be slightly better. But for casual players like myself, this changes can bring more fun (if the player know how to manager the resources ;) The problem is in PvP...Every patch appears some broken/cancer build (can't wait to see LMAO)
I made a hybrid templar on the PTS using 2 crafted sets, soloed almost every vet content with ease. Really hope ZOS doesn't fuck this up when it comes to live. Hydridazation is gonna change everything in this game moving forward!
Coolest part about this for me is Since Alpha, I have never, not once, created a magicka character because I hate using staffs. Staffs feel klunky and I just dont care for the playstyle at all, well now I can go all into magicka and still use melee weapons with some stamina stats and stat sets and im looking forward to that.
You've been playing since alpha so have I. And you never thought to use a dual wield on a magic user especially a Templar or a Sorcerer. Some of the best DPS for the 1st 2 years was a Templar dual wield Because of the bonuses the duel will decuse you. The only thing that this patch is going to do is ruin the game even more because now DPS is just DPS taking away the originality of the game.
@@Thereapershadow1 I messed around with all sorts of things. I can see where you are coming from. I complain when games reduce systems complexity and essentially further remove player choice as that just re asserts the "the best way to play" way of thinking.
@@shaydonwoolstenhulme4436 Back in the beginning of the game it was way better when you have to be good enough to get to the next level now they made it so easy that you get a trophy just for participating and it makes it sad. Boy I see it is the game creator's stopped caring about this game a long time ago.
@@Thereapershadow1 Yeah I do agree with you. I think from their prespectives the game was to "Hard" and complicated to keep the new players that joined. But the oversimplification of systems is just as much a killer as youll lose the players that have stuck with you for 7+ years if your not careful.

The champion point system alone, All those passives gone And then don't get me started on the freaking Apex mounts. I never found one of those and now you can buy them but it's equivalent to about 3 or $400
yep i'm looking forward to see what one can do with a Breton in hybrid builds, like their sustain was a little bit redundant in the age of pure magicka builds as long as you knew what you were doing, but with hybrids that extra regen and cost reduction seems like it can offer some possibility. plus with Gloambound weapon style coming to the crown store on the 16th and are just skyrim's bound weapons down to "disappearing" when stowed, Sorcerer builds are just going to look cooler.
so long as scaling is based on the highest value rather than a combination of the multiple values I think focused sets will still be better, just not as much. But being able to use an off-resource ability morph instead of the one reliant on your main resource should definitely be awesome for sustain. Especially if that morph brings you more benefit than the one you would have otherwise picked.
I thought it was based on the highest valued stat at the time... So if you're spamming a magicka ability, the first few damages will scale off magicka, but once your magicka falls below your stamina, it switches over... That's why a balanced rotation is a good idea... it allows your resource pool to regenerate...
But wait, so if it scales based on your highest offensive stat (spell damage or weapon damage), then that means that it's much more viable to stack all your attribute points into one attribute, right? Increasing both magicka and stamina only means you will be doing less damage across the board.
I'm a Tanky DPS Magicka Sorc that uses some stamina abilities for defense and resource regeneration. I'm rarely the Best DPS but my survivability is good and my damage isn't bad. I can easily help get other players up when they're down. Being hybrid is good if you are farming dungeons without a full group and don't want to wait on queues because you can substitute for other roles a little bit. Sometimes I turn on my taunt and play an off-tank when needed. Not as good as a full tank though because I still have to move around a lot. Overall I enjoy my character because it's a build unique to me and my play style. I do pretty well in PVP because I'm harder to kill and still hit hard.
Took a long break from the game now I'm gonna come back. I have been trying to do a decent hybrid build forever but never been as powerful as I want. I hope now I can do something great! Keep up the content hack!! More hybrid videos please!!!
Hey hack, been playing the hybrid sorc since it first debuted. tweaked it in high isle with orders wrath and converted to SD/stamina to use minor prophesy. Now rock 64.5% crit chance, 123% damage and 5500SD on maul, 5250SD on staff. My 2 bar now gets 55K on base dummy, 1 bar oakensoul gets 49K. it might not be meta (trials sets) but it takes out the trash. Cheers.
On the right charter hybrid build could be run now and be meta. My builds in the past have been met up before most people have even gotten to them. I'm glad you show dungeons in this video to see if the builds work or not. Most people use the target dummy which is not DPS no matter how much people try to say it is. The next patch is All about debuffin and dot damage. Your tanks are going to put deep offs on your healers are going to supply the buffs. Your DPS are going to run sets that bounce off each other. What that means said the best 2 things we're going to be met on next patch for DPS are flame damage and poison damage. It doesn't take a genius to figure it out just have to play for more than a month.

Good video. But is it only your Stamina/Magica there is dynamic? and not Weapon/Spell Damage? So you will gimp yourself by having high stamina and spell damage?
I started on xb1 day one as a magblade, but the lack of big powerful blows disappointed me, so I made a stamblade and liked it much better. Recently I went back to my magblade to level up stam weapon lines and 2h feels really good on him already. Can't wait to see how much harder he can hit after the patch goes live.
so far im working on a DW and Ice Staff Druid. Seems fun but still havent done the minmaxing with the sets I was thinking in changing DW for 2H but i will try that later
Does that mean for a hybrid build it is still better to put all points into stamina or magicka instead if splitting? Even if that means I will have much less of one resouce?
I'd really like to try a hybrid. I think it's going g to open up some serious game play options. At the moment I just cannot decided to go nightblade dual weild/bow or two handed/bow. But im excited to see what folks come up with.... great job with your content. It is appreciated, keep it up
Can’t wait till the game combines all classes into one, gives you two choices of skills, one dot one spammable obviously, and we can do 900k dps so at level ten everyone can get their trifecta trial titles.
Good. ESO needed a massive shift from the norm of mag vs stam. After 6 years, I'm excited to completely reevaluate every possibly viable setup and just have fun playing with crazy combos. My first toon was a Dark Elf sorc that I wanted to have blasting enemies with lightning while stabbing them to death with daggers. I was sad to find out that wasn't really possible. Now it is! My OG Dark Elf sorc will finally fulfill his destiny of being a destructive force of rampaging chaos.
Is it really hybrid? Or just magic builds that use weapon damage? I am a stamina DK but I am being forced to swap to magic DK just for the simple fact the magic options for DK are far more powerful than the stamina options and just gonna get more powerful with these stupid hybrid changes. The game is rapidly getting a point every one is gonna have the same build of using magic for damage and healing while stamina is just used for blocking and rolling.

Claiming that there is such a thing as a "meta" is your first mistake... In ESO, the term "meta" needs an additional modifier... Because players can build their character any way they want, there should be a "hit-point meta" or a "max-damage meta" or "damage-mitigation meta..." One cannot "out-meta" the other...

I went nuts on grinding and now have 18 characters, all at lvl 50 and a mag, a stam and a hybrid version of every class.

You should do a refresh of a video rating good hybrid build pattern and good hybrid build set!
