Love the car ninja. But he is right if bmw wanted to put that chip in they would of done it. To bad they also didn’t want to make the mini copper reliable and easy to work on 😂
I actually disagree. BMW in particular has a knack of detuning some of their engines in order to upsell customers into costlier V8 or M cars. It’s all business decisions now, not engineering.
And people still believe that throttle controllers don't do damage, even when you ask them "why do you think it wasn't programmed like that by the manufacturer?"
If the performance “chip” or program is bought from a large, reputable supplier then there shouldn’t be an issue. Looking for low price deals is what gets folks into trouble
Mini's already have wiring that self destructs, but I am not sure what 'chips' they put into it. Are you saying no performance tunes? Many automotive models and time have proven that wrong if not done by unklebumblefuck learning how to tune a car.
When Jonny says don't do that, definitely don't do that
Should have fitted a set of "go faster stripes" it would have been safer😂😂
Bruh when he said “caught on fire” I lost it
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I just found out a few days ago, Throttle Body spacers are still a thing (?!)
That was a scam nearly 30 years ago.
Thanks Johnny, a buddy chipped out an Audi A4, ops, voided his warranty at 20k miles
Should of gone with APR tune they will warranty of the car with their tune. Their website goes over what is covered.
Moral of the story…. Don’t put in crappy aftermarket chips! 🤣
The NINJA has spoken 🗣
Love the “air” quotes!
Made in Chiwan.
Love this guy. Very proffessinal
Thank you Johnny:)

I know it costs more than a chip, but having a professional tuner remap your ECU is worth every penny of what you pay.
Yeah and you can get more power too, i got around 10% more hp/nm with a custom tuner compared to plug in flash/chip.
Crazy. It must have been a no name aftermarket item VS well known ones.
Whatever crazier is that they tried to make the mini Cooper faster😂

A safer alternative.... Put on a bumper sticker that says... Caution.... I Have A High-Performance chip installed. You don't want any of this....
What aftermarket software “chip” would you recommend for bmw and mini? I’m surprised that mini is still worth saving after that mess.
For BMW check out a dude by the name of Imran and the channel is called Evolve
BM3 bootmod3 or MHD
Wonder if the Ninja approves of APR or Unitronic ECU reflash tuning?
opinions on smaller pulleys for supercharged minis? 13 15 17%?
Can the connector be disassembled and only the damaged wires fixed? I know a lot of M-B ones can.
So did the crappy computer chip push max voltage down that circuit to lie to the pcm and overheat and fry the connector?
Do you have a tip for me on how I can repair BMW E39 m52b25 kge myself?
They had it tuned to mac

We’ve all been there
Mini Cooper is junk just like the mini
