This was a complete random thought after thinking of the Onager and Starhawks' superweapons. The Starhawk should have an upgrade that lets it "reverse power" (or something similiar) the tractor beam. At medium-close range, at the end of an activation, you can "push" the enemy ship to perform a 0 speed yaw 1 maneuver.
That way you could push things out of double arcing you.
I've been wondering about an Onager and two Interdictors; maybe with targeting scramblers (although I can see G8s being good as well), Grav Shift Reroute and two copies of Gravity Well Projectors - just to really help keep things at a safe distance. Then you pick objectives with the Rift and/or Surprise Attack, and laugh maniacally as you pour extreme range fire into something stuck at speed 0.
That sounds really fun! Also, I assume your name is a Blackadder reference? I've always thought Grumbleduke would be a good name for a cat...

Again, a rebel player, but this Onager has me thinking of switching sides. :) I like the new elements it's introducing too..

These are really helpful for newer players- whenever I need an idea to jog my creativity I always watch one of these
It is a very nice solid build and I like how the Interdictor can run well with Onager, I think most people will use both ships together. And it is interesting to see Fire-Control Team there, I honestly never tryed it, so this was just awesome. Indeed a lot of sinergy there. I am only worryed about their defense, I mean... if they don't beat the enemy main ship first, this can go really bad.
Right! And hope difficult will it be to line up the special attack? It'll be nice to start testing this soon!
Also @crabbok a buddy and I have been talking about Mixed fleets. This primary steams from the mandalorian ark of SW and that the galaxy is in complete disorder. fleets might be getting what ships they can. others might be salvaged by other factions and using both empire and rebel ships.
So my questions are:
(1) What do you think of this,
(2)What do you think would be good about this
(3) what do you think is bad about this and
(4) if you made a 400 point list what would you build?

Dunno if this is interesting to you but you can guarantee 3 crits with the SCBT:
Screed / Needa + TRC / Jonus + WBT

Another fun build is Victory 1 Mine Spam with the Onager.
So with the Superheavy Composite Turbolaser, is the damage automatic (no defense tokens) with a crit?
I hope my usual opponent isn't watching this video...I hate Interdictors, and that combination looks pretty deadly!

I think the opening shots would be great but I think it would really depend on some of the objectives
I like the idea of being second player with any of the ones that forces first player to setup first
But an unique one I thought of that would be hard to counter is mine fields which allow you to not only take advantage of guarding the vulnerable sides but could also force an alley that the have to follow down or risk mines and obstacles

If you could find some way to give onagers intensify fire power with out bring a ISD.
The best thing I got from this video is that Ryans fleet-builder has been updated.
You need to run cataclysm with price and the onager, with hondo on another ship to give you the concentrate fire token before you need to place your ignition token to place it at the start of the onagers last activation in the first round and give you a true one/two attack
Can't wait for tgese new ships!
Solid build I might try with a 4th ship to deal some close range damage
This is so cool! Not happy about the Starhawk pushback though as a rebel player. FFG should’ve tried to push at least that one out since we haven’t actually gotten a ship in 2019.

Noting the desire for Crits why not go Screed over Vader? Works better with the Interdictor, saves valuable defence tokens on the Onager and costs less as well?
I was wondering the same thing. It's dice potential is pretty big, so taking out one probably won't hurt too bad. And the extra 10 points could help

This build is my jam!
I was thinking about a similar list, but I feel like phylons are a better upgrade so that you can either double tap a ship to reduce it by 2 if its medium or smaller, or you can hit two different ships. This helps mitigate flanking ships even more, especially raiders or revel corvettes/frigates
I would be worried about my lack of activations during the game. Interesting build though.
Crabbok, did you consider putting phylons on the test bed or would they be too close by the time you could use it?
My thought was by that time they would be too close - but I suppose it's an option. Granted you'll have a harder time getting that 1st player bid if you begin adding stuff.
@@Crabbok that's true. Thanks for replying. Do you know can you draw line of site and range from the token in any direction? Does it have to be in the special arc of the ship itself?

Even though this list is like a one trick pony, I like it. The threat of popping something like a Yavaris turn one, or even just removing the title, feels good.

I am excited to try the Onager for my second fleet, but I am more excited about using some of the upgrades from the Onager for my Arquitens.
