I actually have the 5th edition of Catan Seafarers lol
I have all of the games that this insert claims that it can hold. I can say that it all holds everything nicely. But you're right, all of the boats, roads, buildings and whatnot are EXTREMELY tight in there. You can't just toss them in there expecting things to fit. You need to place them slowly and perfectly in them. Also, all of the manuals don't fit on top of everything and expect the top to sit flush. They'll fit, but the top will have a bulge on it.
Yes. Many of the inserts i’ve tried or printed give me box bulge. It’s kind of a drag. i’m surprised Catan Studio hasn’t followed Stonemaier’s lead and released a Big Dumb Box for Dumb Dummies that’s empty, apart from some nice trays to fit the game and all of its expansions.
nice video, thx for the info on this. I have everything that you can add to the game including the German box with volcanoes and a bunch of specialty pieces which caused me some grief at first. But i happened to purchase a box set from the LCBO for Stella Artois, it had a handle, clear Plexiglas panels and locks....I took out all the extras, drank the Stella, and figured out that everything including the 5-6 player sets in it. Its always fun showing up to play at a friends house with the briefcase with $1 000 000 in it....I mean the Catan universe in it. LOL
Great solution! This one will only fit Catan, Cities & Knights and Seafarers before you have to start folding your pieces.

So i bought it, recieved it in the mail today and assembled it. I really like it but he's right about fitting the seafarer ships, it's pretty tight already, probably just needs some shifting around. Overall worth it.
Thanks for this video! I love playing catan with Citites/Knights and Seafarers with all the 6+ player extensions, but there are SO MANY BOXES. I tried organizing everything myself, but There are so many pieces and bags that are impossible to keep track of and it made setup of any catan game stressful. I was looking for a good organization system for the game. Thanks for the recomendation, I just bought the organizer from gaming trunk, and I am really excited to try it out!
Fantastic, Josiah! i really hope you enjoy it! Like i said in the video, take your time, and knock out those connections with a craft knife to prevent unsightly splintering.
Bought the insert. It all “fits,” but yikes it’s tight. The cities, roads, and kniggits fit their trays if you tetris it very precisely. All the wall tokens tuck into the front part of the hexagon tile storage. The spiral bound booklets don’t quite fit, and one hangs out with the rule books, and thus the box doesn’t sit flush. One does like a flush box top. Ah well, it’s still pretty great, and I really liked the video for how to load the insert. Thanks!!
Great video Ryan! Game Trunk’s quality looks pretty solid. I’ve used Broken Token’s wooden inserts, but I like how these come stained. That’s a nice touch. I’ll have to check out what other games they do inserts for.

I need a box to fit all of catan, seafarers, cities & knights, traders & barbarians, explorers & pirates, treasures & dragons. Plus all of the 5-6 player extensions for them.
i don't think this will do that - tho it will do the first three. i have Traders... i'll see what fits and get back to you. (But all that jazz will likely need a much larger box!)
I liked the comedy bit around Seafarers.
I got the 25th Anniversary box, so I wouldn't be able to use this insert, even if I wanted to. Oh well.

@@NightsAroundaTable I have their Root and Wingspan inserts both stained also. You're spot on about the tacky feeling it has and the splintering. I still love them, they are less expensive than some Broken Token or E-Raptor inserts and I like that we're supporting a Canadian company.
