- Could Marvel Win The Tournament Of Power? Marvel Comics VS Dragon Ball Super, who would win? Dragon Ball Super's tournament of power arc was by far one of the most insane shonen sagas in history, as it had Son Goku and his friends face off against super strong adversaries like Jiren and the rest of the pride troopers. Goku's team eventually ended up winning despite the massive odds stacked against them. But what if Omni-King Zeno decided to hold a second tournament of power and added in competitors from the Marvel Comics multiverse? Would Goku and his allies be able to defeat these new contenders, or would they fall like the rest? In this video, we thoroughly analyze the power set and accolades of multiple marvel characters, from the agile Spiderman, the sharp claws-having Wolverine, the green rage-monster Hulk, the OG mutant, Apocalypse, and the cunning and highly-intelligent Victor Von Doom, AKA Doctor Doom. How strong is Goku and the rest of the Z-Fighters like Black Frieza, Ultra Ego Vegeta, and Beast Gohan? How strong are these Marvel characters? Find out as we go in depth to determine who would become the victor of this more challenging tournament of power!

To clear up some stuff, I would like to say that I honestly feel that I didn't cover the Dragon Ball side enough as I should have. They are incredibly fast, much faster than majority of the Marvel team here. The only reason Wolverine, Blob, Iron Fist, and Spiderman have a chance to keep up with their lower levels of speed is thanks to their higher end feats (fighting Thor, Silver Surfer, Hulk etc). We said in the video the main 6 get cooked at some point and we never said they can take anyone out (aside from Storm, thanks to her attack potency). Even fodder gods like Ares have been able to fight in moments between Planck time. Thor has traveled across infinite universes in moments and Silver Surfer has time traveled through pure speed before, and most of the team would scale from them.
We know Dragon Ball characters are massively faster than light, can reach infinite, inaccessible, and even immeasurable speeds, but when it comes to beings like Doctor Doom, Ghost Rider, Hulk, and Apocalypse, they can fight at those speeds if not even much faster because they have outright fought faster opponents that exist on a much higher dimensional level than that of Dragon Ball characters. Scaling to beings that created the Dark Dimension or can affect or destroy realms on such a level would prove they can fight at those higher echelons of speed.
Looking back on it, I think that Goku and the gang could potentially outsmart Hulk or Ben Grimm and knock them out not through raw strength, but strategy. Even if say, Vegito or Gogeta appeared and took out one of the Top 4, they would not have enough fuel to take out the others. But as we said in the video, if one of the top 4 or 5 get taken out, the others are going to go even harder and it's going to be incredibly hard if not impossible to get them out. If killing was allowed, it would go even worse for the Dragon Ball team. Hakai would work on majority of the Marvel team, but Doom, Hulk, Apocalypse, or Ghost Rider would overpower it or negate it in some way as they have encountered similar if not even higher degrees of the ability before.
For those saying "oh x and y wouldn't be allowed". They allowed Katopesla to use his suit. They allowed potara earrings. They allowed the Mafuba. They allowed outside amps for the magical girls of Universe 2. So, Doctor Doom should be able to use his suit and Spidey would be able to use his web shooter. This attempt to depower the Marvel team is for pure copium purposes lol.
Regardless, the Marvel team would win whichever way we flip the cosmology.

Agreed. Goku in super saiyan god was causing universal ripples with colliding punches. Now marvel has universal players but doesnt dbz say that buu was a universal level or galaxy level idk which, but tournament of power goku is lightyears ahead of ssj3 goku that took on buu. One thing i would give marvel is strategy and abilities. Dbz universe just doesnt have some of those things but honestly if those extra things arent instant kills dbz probably kills everything. My problem with the marvel stuff is characters will struggle to lift a car in one comic and then a new writer shows up and all the sudden they are on par with god level beings lmfao
That's why we said we are using peak versions. And we also said lowballed versions of some characters like Wolverine gets rocked. Dr. Doom, Hulk, and Apocalypse have many consistent feats to keep up with DB god tiers.

Wolverine will be a liability in this tournament because there's no killing.
Yeah, it'll be harder for him to fight but he can still deal some damage without killing them. He's stabbed Gladiator through his arm before and it didnt kill him.
Wolverine wouldn't be allowed in the X Men and the Avengers if he didn't know how to fight non letally.
@@Chuck His claws might not be allowed at all. The Freeza race guy got disqualified from the tournament before it, same rules, for having an artificial spike implant in his body.

The tournament allowed for winged characters to fly even though there was a rule againt flying, i can't see why Wolverine couldn't use his artificially enhanced claws.

In reality, the Penance stare doesn't kill someone based on their guilt but the pain they inflicted on others. Wolverine brushing off the notion of fighting Spider-Man is mad ironic considering his win to loss ratio against Spider-Man ends up with more wins on Spider-Man’s end than Logan’s (though Logan admits Spider-Man would win if Peter doesn’t hold back. Which is pretty consistent as Logan lost hard to Kaine Parker’s Scarlet Spider and Superior Spider-Man. And yes Im aware of their fight in contest of chaos where both were supposed to be bloodlusted but that very explicitly ended with Spider-Man beginning to resist the influence on his mind, which Logan caught him slipping under.)

@@Chuck nah, normal Peter still bullies Logan. Logan has literally nothing against the spider sense and he's on a completely different level speed and strength wise. When we look at their biggest feats of strength, Peter held up the side of the Daily Bugle and if we take Web of Shadows as something he's capable of this man can casualy rip Adamantium apart. Logan's biggest strength feats give him like 2 tons compared to Parker's half a million tons. It's literally a coughing baby fighting a hydrogen bomb. Even if we take Peter's 10 ton at face value Logan is outclassed here.

The problem with comic characters is that their power and abilities can vary wildly up or down from one arc to the next all based on the writer. It’s frustrating as there is little consistency.

I already know without finishing the entire video that the comic characters are going to win based on feats, even if it’s inconsistent or based on outliers. Regardless you have to acknowledge the inconsistency with comic characters. It makes being a fan frustrating. I’ve loved Spider-Man since I was 8. I own the comic where he beat Firelord. It’s an incredible feat. But he also gets hurt by street tier characters without powers like the Kingpin. These things can’t be reconciled. It’s writers not caring about consistency. Most of the time it doesn’t matter much but sometimes it’s unbelievable.

Fat Cobra didn't beat Merged Sentry lmfaooo. Dude was bodying Cobra and his entire group without even noticing until they said something. All Cobra did was realign his chi because Void was gaining more control than the other two personalities. After that, Bob realized he was about to accidentally kill all of them and left to do his own thing. He could kill Fat Cobra in an instant without any difficulty whatsoever. If Sentry truly didn't want Fat Cobra to hit him, then he never would've gotten close, and Sentry wouldn't have let Thor hold him. It takes less than a second to end up like Molecule Man and Loki. Or Ares and Carnage if hs goes the brutal route.

Respect chuck this was legendary!! I honestly had some disagreements with dr. Goons on his orange piccolo vs the thing video. I think orange piccolo has few win factors and it’s all up to situation of the fight. I do agree hulk, ghost rider, apocalypse and dr.doom are way too powerful to be defeated by current dbs. This was legendary video respect to both dr. Goons and Chuck honestly I’m here for every video that includes this!!! I would also love to hear you two talk about certain scaling issues that both comics and anime fan bases brings up in a debate.

Tbh all this shows to me is powerscaling comics is way less cool than power scaling anime due to how many writers impact the feats the comic characters have while in anime/manga have the same writer through the series (outside of specific instances where the original mangaka dies and their assistant takes over)
I think the opposite, new writers bring in different interpretations of characters that a single writer could never show you

Marvel characters been around since the 70's with different writers making them senselessly more powerful depending on how ridiculous the writer at the time makes them, while Goku has only 1 writer with 1 main storyline and his powers have to align with it while comics do not since they're hundreds of versions of the characters and stories. Im no expert in anything lol but i get they used the strongest highballed versions of the characters but im assuming some of the feats are highball outlier type things outside of the normal characters abilities like mr satan vs a wolverine that got knocked out by a dear or the highballed wolverine vs goku that got scratched by a bullet anyway my question is how do the characters stack up if you use the most consistent version of both but thats not easy when marvel has so many versions of each character where dragon ball does not
Everything they mentioned was consistent. The only questionable ones were Spider-Man and Wolverine, but they only really screw up when fighting opponents that shouldn’t beat them.

Was the Green Lantern ring considered a universal weapon? Darkseid wouldn't be interested in joining, unless the reward is what he seeks, and he could snatch the Super Dragon Balls with his Boom Tubes to wish for something that he seeks. Doomsday is out because there's a rule about killing. Superman, Martian Manhunter, Captain Atom and Raven is okay, but at least J'onn is able to fly due to his shapeshifting powers to sprout out wings. And they all have their personal gravity, of course. And I'm still questioning about Superman's power reserves since I don't see any sun around the arena for him to absorb the energy, so he'd better get soak up plenty of rays if he wants to win via endurance if he doesn't use up powers that's based on solar energy like Heat Vision or Super Flare. That's what I could come up with. Some are good choices, though.

There is one problem with this video. The TOP rules weren't considered in the combat situations. Even if the DB characters are weaker (which they are), the tournament is about knocking your opponents out of the arena, which they could do for the majority. I still think Marvel would win it, but I think that was a glaring issue.
