San Juan Airport: Tropical Storm Laura!

Spotting video @ Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (TJSJ/SJU)! Spotting in 8/22/20, this day features the operations going on at SJU while Tropical Storm Laura was passing over Puerto Rico. Unlike Tropical Storm Isaias, most of the storm's heavy rain was located in the south of Puerto Rico, so you won't see much rain here. Instead, you will see here a lot of crosswind during the landings, with some gusts reaching at least 50 kts. at one point of the day. Hope you like it! & don't forget to comment, rate & subscribe!

That American Airlines 737 at 13:00 makes quite a double bounce and almost looks like they blew the left tire. The UPS MD-11 came down like a champ but had a great weight and stability advantage. Even though it appeared a few had trouble lifting off, I think I'd prefer going up over coming down. Awesome video, thanks!

Wow thank you so much for showing those landings by the airlines. You can see up close and personal how difficult those pilots were having landing those planes during the winds. Kudos to them all. Having flown in and out of that airport for over forty years, I also have experience those types of landings. Thank you again.
Are you a pilot or a steward(ess)? I love that airport too although it's been too many years since I've been there. I got excited just watching those planes fly in! Wishing I was on one of them. 😁
I KNOW EXACTLY WHERE THEY AT.THAT AIRPORT IS IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUNCH OF TRAFFIC .YOU CAN HEAR THEM CLEARLY COMING FROM THEIR DESTINATIONS THEM LANDINGS ARE RUTHLESS..IS EITHER DO OR DIE

Worst landing award goes to American at 13:03, followed closely by Delta at 6:56. Granted the weather wasn’t the best, but I think since Boeing jets lack FBW it makes them a handful in these situations.
Commend these pilots for their abilities, you don't control mother nature.
