Very good video and would love to see more of them, although, why "yellow" subtitles? Sometimes hard to read with contrasting colors in the background. Maybe white captioning next time? Thank you.
dpm1982 - Yellow subs are actually a rare smart move, considering how often there's white in the background that makes visual perception more difficult. But in any case the text should have a black border.

You guys know how to film a flight nice job.. I got curious about the world's longest flight so here it is ,. Qatar Airways has the world’s longest non-stop commercial flight, a 9,032-mile (14,535km) marathon from Doha to Auckland, New Zealand. In a Boeing 777-200LR... The journey lasts 16 hours and 20 minutes and crosses 10 time zones, four pilots are on board, as well as 15 cabin crew, who serve 1,100 hot drinks, 2,000 cold drinks and 1,036 meals to passengers.

Planemad2000 well it's still the longest commercial flight at that time maybe these must have another long haul flight after that,it was a full flight most times on that a340-500
Guess viewers take such a transit across the globe lightly but for me, I say WOW! I'm an old Flying Tiger line, 707 TWA passenger. Best part of your journey was the synth rap music track back in Shanghai that used some of the AT controllers chatter. The video edit slices of you guys laughing while it played should get you a free dinner out somewhere. Nice work.
Nice aircraft, nice professional pilots, pleasure to watch! The weather is not so nice though. Not many of A340 family are still active, but this one is! Just verified it. Hope it'll live in the skies for a while!
I don't know if I'm being too critical here but Shanghai ATC doesn't sound that well-trained. Random frequency calls, wasted RTF, odd phraseology and unnecessary instructions. Quite concerning really.
But if they're controlling at international airport, they should be almost fluent in English seeming as English is the ICAO language. If they don't know the minimum amount, then miscommunication would potentially be a big problem.
In Mexico too, ATC speaks Spanish to domestic and English to other aircraft. I think it is wroth to send pilots to Australia or US for training, but not the case for ATC. They don't have enough budget to train and spend years for them to learn fluent English aboard.
The captain on this flight is a funny guy. I'm flying Lufthansa to Dublin in April...can Swiss Air spare him for the flight to Dublin and back to Frankfurt. I don't like flying but it facinates me. Despite his sense of humour you can see the concentration as they took off especially with the risk of aquaplaning. A pity more people driving cars in rainy conditions don't consider the danger. Love these videos. Help a lot with my nervousness when I fly.
