This drill is excellent for learning the hinge motion for an RDL or deadlifting. Today you’ll see how @thepanash uses it as a part of his deadlift warm up! . Shout out @emcrawfordcoach for the opening stitched video!

Literally why are RDLs so hard to master. 🤦🏾♀️ I swear every time I think I've got it, it's like right back to square one next lower body day lol. Super frustrating.
Keep your head up, your legs stiff, your middle trap contracted, as well as your lats and SA, stick your butt out as you are in the lower part of the movement, and keep the bar tracking close to your legs throughout the movement. It's maybe 5 cues you need to be consciously aware of to maintain excellent form.
At first I thought it was difficult, now not so much. The trick is to push the butt out to stretch the hamstrings and then thrust your way in to straightening up. Once you see it as a thrusting motion it changes everything

No way that warm up takes me 8 minutes. Though it might be less time than squat day considering I need to do back rack lunges to a heavy set to be able to squat with a 35# bar on my back 😂
In the first exercise and the last exercise, the guy's back and bending motions are different. The exercises didn't help at all. It is best if you, yourself, keep in mind to keep your back straight. It isn't rocket science.
Is it just me or does the OWL’s form look off? This is why I personally struggle w RDL’s, I’m so hyper-focused on the lower back and it makes me go mental when performing.
Why does a world champion powerlifter or whatever you said he was, need to prime his posterior chain to be stiff and not round? Aint that shite 2nd nature by now? You know how I warm up my deadlifts? With lighter deadlifts. Works every time. You should be able to brace properly without having to teach yourself to brace properly every session. I pick up my dog's bowl with a proper hinge everyday.
I bet he doesn't do these exercises. Cmon bro, why would he waste his time with these BEFORE his warmup??? I'll try this fomeroller on a beginner to see if it actually works. I can see them still bending their back and not hinging properly even with this roller trick..
Wouldn’t doing the exercise he’s about to do (deadlifts), starting at a very light weight (empty bar), and slowly building up to his workout weight, *prime* his muscles just as well as doing all those fancy looking things?
I don’t remember the name of this particular song, but the song is by an author called “mixed matches”, he has a ton of good songs, you should check it out

His roller looks narrower than most solid foam rollers I see. Do you recommend a certain diameter for this warm-up routine?
It absolutely works, my brother. GYYYYAAATTTTTTT
Boutta take my deadlift sessions from 1 to 2 hours
😂
But you then are unlikely to take 2-3 months off due to injury.
Now all the wannabe power lifters with a bag full of lifting gear will take longer to warmup in the power racks. Thanks

Because it's not about safety or convenience, it's about control.
"they increase activity metrics so we turn a blind eye." Or some bs as usual.

Literally why are RDLs so hard to master. 🤦🏾♀️ I swear every time I think I've got it, it's like right back to square one next lower body day lol. Super frustrating.
Agreed. When I have my form locked in the weight feels so light, then one small change and like you said it’s back to square one.

Really appreciating the end scene with the list of exercises!!! Thank you
This is why on leg day I’m in the gym for 2+ hours and the only first hour I didn’t even start a working set yet 🤦🏾♂️
This is why I deadlift on back day and squat on leg day. I get legs done at exactly 1 hour while my back day is about an hour and 15 mins
This is awesome!! 🎉🎉These types of drills are so helpful to me as I continue to struggle with my form for RDLs. Thank you.
the screenshot section is so helpful, thank you!

Put some clothes on
If you have to spend over 10 minutes warming up, you are lifting too much weight.
Her feet are way too huge 😮
