    I've just stumbled across your channel and you have some great videos which I very much enjoyed.
    I too have a small fleet of cars and vehicles ranging from a aston martin db7 , mitsubishi l200 and old air cooled vw.
    So many manufacturers are coming out with cars at crazy prices but if your smart you can find some real bargains and have just as much fun at a very affordable price.
    New sub!!!

      Absolutely, there are so many great cars from the 90’s and 00’s that have lost most (all) of their depreciation. And you aren’t losing out on the driving experience either as these analogue cars offer no less “fast and fun” driving experience than more modern digital cars costing x10 the price (and I would argue, that in most cases offer much more fun!)

    Im currently looking for a good shogun sport as i use the l200 for work and want the shogun sport as i can put our dog in the back.

      Yes, it’s tucked up underneath the car, towards the back. Would imagine it’s a right pain in the ar$e to get off!

    If it is good all underneath jack it wax it and install insulation pads behind carpet interior also outer bulkhead for that more refined seen people do it long term ownership just a idea but if doesn't bother you no need really good motoring and enjoy it looks very well been looked after from I have seen

      Really pleased with it so far. Very different from my previous two Shoguns/Pajeros. Only had 2 previous owners from new so knew it was a good one. I’ll keep this until it makes no financial sense to keep it on the road. It’s not quick and not sporty, but does everything that I need it to do 👍🏻

    • @FastandFun
      @FastandFun  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Jake, they’re pretty robust tbf. You need to check for rust/corrosion on the underside/sills/arch’s. Check the MOT history to see if anything was picked up on recent tests. Both the 3.0 petrol and 2.5 diesel are pretty robust units, just need to make sure that they’ve had regular oil changes.
      It would be worth you asking on some Shogun Sport forums too. They have a strong following for these trucks and are more knowledgeable than I am. Good luck 👍🏻

    Thanks for the review, great car but only practical if you own a drive/garage imho. Had a Volvo XC90, defo not easy to find street parking to git them in.

    • @FastandFun

      Yes, the turning circle isn’t the best either so parkings never easy especially if on the road.

    Really enjoyed the video.. looking at getting one of these although i am not sure wether to go for the 3.0 petrol engine version. Still debating.
    I like the fact it is not overly large, i think just the right size for what i need and also like you have also mentioned it is a proper 4x4 sized down and not a car made large.
    Enjoyed and subbed 👍cheers.Matt.

    Hi, I have a 2005 shogun sport. Could you explain the 4x4 system please? Mine flash’s when engaged then set off driving it goes solid. Also when put in 2wd it takes a while to deactivate. Is this normal? Thanks Rob

    • @FastandFun
      @FastandFun  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, when in 2WD there should be no lights on. When you move to 4WD (or from 4WD back to 2WD) the green light will flash. Once you pull forward it should either stay on (4WD) or go out (2WD).
      I hope that helps 👍🏻

    • @RobertHowe85
      @RobertHowe85 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you, think I may have some problems. Think I will need it checking out. Thanks for the reply. 👍🏻

    • @FastandFun
      @FastandFun  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RobertHowe85 I normally drive in 2WD (on the road) but do put it into 4WD when I go into the fields. Before returning to the road I generally drop it back into 2WD and sometimes it can be a pain to go in and takes a few attempts before it will start flashing. When it does flash, I leave it a few seconds and then slowly pull away and the light goes out after a few rotations of the wheels.

      Hi, I have mind for over 15 year, great machine. When I change from 4wd to 2wd, I need to put the jeep in reverse and move back a foot or two. This always makes the jeep pop back into two wheel drive.

    i think it needs a 6th gear. between 50 and 70 mph it really sits high on the revs

    • @FastandFun
      @FastandFun  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Completely agree - I normally only take mine up to 65mph because it feels strained (high revs) once you hit 70mph.
