In this video I'm putting a 2012 BMW 328i F30 & a 2016 F30 BMW 330e to the test to see which one of them runs out of fuel faster and if the 330e actually more efficient in the real world!
These cars come with the engines mentioned below
BMW N20 Engine (328i):
2.0 Inline 4 TurboCharged
HorsePower: 241hp @ 5000 rpm
Torque: 350nm @ 1250 rpm
Claimed Fuel Consumption: 6.4L/100km
Fuel Tank: 60L
BMW B48 Engine (330e):
2.0L Inline 4 TurboCharged
HorsePower: 181hp @ 5000 rpm + 88hp electric
Torque: 270nm @ 1350 rpm + 250nm electric
Claimed Fuel Consumption: 1.9L/100km
Fuel Tank: 41L

I've been wanting to make this video for a hot minute. It seems like there are two groups of people out there: those who believe that Hybrids are extremely efficient in every scenario, and those who swear by good old pure ICE. I've always been curious about this debate, so I decided to put it to the test myself. I hope that this video brings some clarity to the discussion.

I have a 330e 2016 model. I live in London and I average 42mpg combination of local and highway on the highway I get even more as every 50 miles I accumulate another 16 miles on pure electric? 0 Road tax is a plus, I went on a road trip to the countryside and half a tank approximately 20 litres I managed to do 320 miles madness!
Having both 330e and 320i B48. I can guarantee the 330e is much fuel economical even without charging daily. Each tanks the 330e save you around 25-30 bucks and giving you the similar range.
how's the acceleration compared between 330e and 320i?

My 1.3L Myvi is around 7L/100km with the speed limit and most city driving and the BMWs have average 8-9L/100km with so much more power + turbos (not to mention 2L inline 4). I don't see any reason not to get a BMW comparing the long-term fuel consumption only and of course the prestige🤣
My 318d made 1200kms going 130/140km/h. Diesel is the greatest for long rides.

repeat and do this :
1 - include diesel engine(due to popular demand)
2 - use CRUISE CONTROL
3 - 330e use manual mode instead of automatic.

I have f31 325d stage 1+ tuned on a full tank (almost 60 liters) I am averaging 850km. If I drive normal and mostly on highway it's 940-1000+

How many miles of gas did you have in total when you filled it up
