  • My name is Jared Beckwith, I’m a registered EEG technologist. In this video I will look at an EEG with sleep spindles and vertex waves. While awake, this patient had a continuous, symmetric, and reactive 9hz posterior dominant rhythm. Stage I sleep begins with vertex waves, and the patient transitions into stage II sleep when spindles appear. Like & subscribe for more EEG review episodes!

    Fascinating! Since our brains make waves, I feel like it also means that our thoughts travel outside of our bodies & so it's true that our thoughts DO affect everyrthing & everyone.

    Thank you for sharing. I have a question about how to know the background of the patient. I think it should not be 9 all the time.

      @@qizhengxia531 to test the background PDR have the patient awake, relaxed, with their eyes closed
