The thing I like about this game is the constant sense of urgency there is where you're constantly being chased by something. The game is essentially telling you "Go Go Go!!!". It makes it such a painful challenge trying to collect as many rings as possible while having to hurry at the same time. I always like to take my time collecting rings when playing Sonic games so this is my worst nightmare.

WAHHHHHHHHHH! honestly i'd prefer this over 3d blast. where was this sonic in the genesis titles in 1996? segasonic put more emphasis in speed for an isometric sonic game.there is funny animations that this game has such as 1:39, there's funny voice acting( although it's in Japanese). not to mention there were more thrills and danger to be seen in this game. this game gives you more excitement from using boulders, to broken bridges, to ice blocks pushing you towards a cliff, spears, tornadoes, quick sands, explosions, etc. there's two new characters found in the game, ray and mighty. there's even a 3 player mode. sonic 3d blast just gives exploration. the checkered-boarded floor is unbearable to look at and it doesn't blend in with the atmosphere that well. the chaos emeralds don't even give you super sonic. the game has two versions, genesis and the saturn. the genesis has good music, put is a bit unplayable up to the point where you sometimes glitch through some platforms and the floor is slippery. the special stages are too easy. the saturn has a cool animated intro and ending, it looks more polished compared to the genesis, creates more atmosphere with the use of weather effects. the special stages are challenging and is in 3d, but the saturn has music that's too tranquil and has this sonic r type of end credit music which is terrible imo.

Man, Eggman wasn't messing around was he...but then again l always saw him as a greater threat than Bowser Koopa. It definitely deserved to be in Origins. This was his home island, Christmas Island, his 1st encounter with Robotnik (why he gets captured so easily, he'd never met the Dr before), his 1st friends, his 1st adventure, canonically even before Sonic 1.

I’m not a programmer by any means, but why couldn’t this be emulated? It looks a lot like Sonic 3D Blast. They couldn’t just change it to D-Pad controls for future ports? I only ask because like I said, it looks a lot like Sonic Blast.
The thing is that the emulator is an easy make. But you need to modify the game to be able to play. You need to insert coins to play the game. But those coins can't exactly be inserted. So that is gonna be tedious. And I don't think that is gonna be time programmers are gonna take to create characters that is compatible with just this game. Aka even though it is similar to 3dblast it doesn't work on the same engine
The animation is amazing but this game really shows how Sega could have used it in America and just drain kids of quarters, so many cheap deaths but damn the animation is just amazing.
