Exactly my thoughts! Im stunned by the lack of imagination from many top youtubers. All they talk about is "this is how it is to watch videos on AVP" and "But this is also a work device.. soo lets see how we can connect to the Mac and edit videos on AVP"🤦♂ The whole point is to move to a medium beyond video and flat interfaces!
The Universal Control demo when using Mac Virtual Display is impressive and gives you another option for control. We’ll never know, but curious if UC was actually developed for AVP but was introduced early to Mac and iPad to do real-world testing like the LiDAR Scanner. It’s such an impressive new tech.
The 5 multiple game screens just sold me. You just got another like. Best illustration of this thing so far, better than you know the other guys you had on a call with. No shade but this is good man. Good job!,,
What a fantastic review. You show the value proposition and why we might be truly excited about this in various use cases, and offer well reasoned and serious criticisms in their own section. The rhythm of the positive and the negative feedback feels fair and from a hopeful perspective, which is a refreshing viewpoint in tech reviews right now.
I loved the concept Apple took all of you influencers and made one huge collaboration promotion video with great positive reviews. Topnotch promotional thinking, though it seems too obvious and transparent. I could suggest other strategies as well, like comparing it with other VR sets, and think out of the box of clean and straightforward reviews, that are too commercial in disguise. imho, A Challenge video will have a much larger effect on viewers, Like "I tried living a full week with Apple Vision Pro attached to my head!" Good luck, Apple wizards! 🍏
Brian, you’re doing the lords work. This is the best review of the Vision Pro I’ve seen; you actually did everything people are going to do with this product.
This is the best review of the AVP yet, well done my friend. I personally have had the luxury of demoing it as well and this video gives the best "real sense" of what its like to interact with all you can do. The applications for this is ENDLESS. From being able to collab across the world from production and engineering to going to concerts/sporting events without having to travel, while witnessing them in real time.
I agree. Although I was able to do over 30 minutes with no problem. Did you feel fatigued at 30 minutes? That’s the one thing I don’t agree with but I guess it could be different for everyone.
45:53 "Don't get me wrong: it is really fun and I love being inside it but it can be a little exhausting from over stimulation."😅 Are you thinking about another use?
Great Video. I’ve never been convinced the consensus opinion that the Vision Pro needed the “Killer App” to save it or be successful was correct. Watching this review proves Apple never needed an app to make it successful. Apple’s secret sauce has always been the combination of their unique UI working flawlessly with the software that kept people engaged. The Vision Pro is no different. The eye tracking, low latency, pinch to select will make it feel magical to use. This is enough for early adopters to inform developers and Apple engineers where to go from this 1 gen product.
Could be cool of you could hot-swap the battery on the go. So you could change the battery without turning the device off. It would mean a small build in battery that could run it for like 60 sec.
B Tong..... Always given the fans what they want! thanks so much for the unboxing and this great breakdown of the AVP. Truly excited about getting mine on Feb 2 in store pick up 8am time.....Thanks bro!!!

You can connect the charger via USB-C port to the battery pack and keep the pack charged while operating the Vision Pro. You can also have a spare charged battery pack for when you don’t want to be tethered to the charger.
I’m not sure if the other commenter answered the question. But yes you can use a 3rd party battery pack plugged into the AVP battery pack, that was you don’t have to turn it off when unplugging the battery pack
Marques' persona constant concerned look is hilarious. It's like he's in a horror movie and he knows he'll be the first to go, yet these guys are talking about some VR headset 😂
Absolutely fantastic review, just so well done. Yours is the best I’ve seen, actually engaging with the product AS IT IS and what it’s good at NOW, and discussing and exploring the real uses and potential of it. That’s in stark contrast to some other reviewers that just speculated the whole time about what the product MIGHT be in 5-10 years, and enumerating everything it ISN’T - which is really boring and uninformative. Well done being practical, realistic, and fully present with the actual current product and what it actually is NOW. You earned my sub for sure!

idk if I could watch a full game on this . as cool as it looks, everyone says it's heavy. that's the main thing I dislike about my quest 2 and that's lighter than this.
We're at the ground floor of the next phase of personal computing. In a few year this gen one product will seem silly and crude compared to products that are much lighter and cheaper. But just like the first personal computer, we have to start somewhere.

Apple, if you are reading this, I'm saving my money for the OLED iPad, so I'm sold at that, but my gosh, give me a lower priced Vision Pro (half of this current price) and I'm in.
The best review is to show how it’s like on the daily use, not talking about some nagging whining little things that has nothing to do with the actual experience (like cough the Verge cough). Brian, you nailed it! Great job.
The Verge is right you know? There should be a thorough hardware comparison with the q3 because it costs 1/7th of the price of the AVP. If there’s no SUBSTANCIAL/OVERWHELMING difference, there’s no point in ever buying an AVP. Daily use is pretty much met by any other color passthrough vr device. We need to know if the AVP is worth the 3500 dollar price tag. So far no one has convinced me it is.
@@breeknow They might be right but if they only focus on the negatives what is the point of review? Also, they are not complaining it against any existing products which are clearly inferior but more on what it could do much more without considering it is actually a version 1.0 product despite everything about VP is already overwhelming substantial difference than any Meta Quest. This is already in a range of $10K VR Varjo.

All they talk about is "this is how it is to watch videos on AVP" and "But this is also a work device.. soo lets see how we can connect to the Mac and edit videos on AVP"🤦♂ The whole point is to move to a medium beyond video and flat interfaces!
This is the most comprehensive review I've seen online so far. As someone who's getting his on launch day---THANK YOU for this!
Best and most detailed review. You showcased what people will be using this for and there are some killer details you included.
Can’t watch this video at home. You’re setting off all my HomePods 😂
Dude. This is the BEST review of AVP so far. Great work!
Now this is the review I was waiting for!
This is by far the best review video I've seen of this so far. Great job!
This review gets 👍🏾👍🏾!!!!
Great job Brian!
Closing segment was 🔥🔥🔥
45:53 "Don't get me wrong: it is really fun and I love being inside it but it can be a little exhausting from over stimulation."😅 Are you thinking about another use?
you were made for this moment Brian. great presentation!
🙏🙏🙏
Great Video. I’ve never been convinced the consensus opinion that the Vision Pro needed the “Killer App” to save it or be successful was correct. Watching this review proves Apple never needed an app to make it successful. Apple’s secret sauce has always been the combination of their unique UI working flawlessly with the software that kept people engaged. The Vision Pro is no different. The eye tracking, low latency, pinch to select will make it feel magical to use. This is enough for early adopters to inform developers and Apple engineers where to go from this 1 gen product.
There is a killer app, but people aren't talking about it.
@@movieblues4614 well if that’s true, why is that and what is the hidden gem?

Most impressive thing I've seen here that I haven't seen implemented this well standalone anywhere else...the hand occlusion
That’s also what I was most impressed by as a VR developer
Only 15 minutes in and this is by far the best review yet. Your enthusiasm shines through, nice job dude!
22:54 something about the headset talking to you out loud like that is so funny 😂
Best Vision Pro review. Thanks Brian!
Could be cool of you could hot-swap the battery on the go.
So you could change the battery without turning the device off. It would mean a small build in battery that could run it for like 60 sec.
The fact that the connector is some proprietary one, and not USB-C is a huge disadvantage, imo.
@@sonarunthe charge port for the battery is USB-C. Don’t see any reason you can’t chain another battery for extended range.
B Tong..... Always given the fans what they want! thanks so much for the unboxing and this great breakdown of the AVP. Truly excited about getting mine on Feb 2 in store pick up 8am time.....Thanks bro!!!
Easily the best review, so far it actually demonstrates the power of what is possible and enthusiasm is a very much appreciated
video deserves way more credit such high video quality and clarity in the review
You were driving the Siri on my homepod mini completely insane with all those commands! 😂
By far the best review I’ve seen. I feel like everyone else was just trying to be first as opposed to “immersive“. I cannot wait until Friday until I can go pick mine up!
And I gotta tell you that intro was fire 🔥 or dare I say.. “that was a good Apple”
👍🍏😂😂😂
Amazing Review! First time we actually see users Point of View!
Regarding Batttery Life - Can(Should) I connect the battery pack to the charger, while I´m using it? 🤷🏼♂
It's because he's not an iSheep like this desperate reviewer here is.
It's because he's not desperate to please Apple like this reviewer here is.
Had the chills going on that cold opening of a well quite scenic place 😬😬
This is the review that i need
Are you going to purchase VP?
That’s a good Vision Apple! ❤
😂💪🔥
Haha that’s a classic prize fight reference
Absolutely fantastic review, just so well done. Yours is the best I’ve seen, actually engaging with the product AS IT IS and what it’s good at NOW, and discussing and exploring the real uses and potential of it. That’s in stark contrast to some other reviewers that just speculated the whole time about what the product MIGHT be in 5-10 years, and enumerating everything it ISN’T - which is really boring and uninformative. Well done being practical, realistic, and fully present with the actual current product and what it actually is NOW. You earned my sub for sure!
Great review! “Hey, This is MY fancy bag!” 100% can relate!
GREAT job dude! So much upside potential!
🎉Siri triggering alert 🔔 😅 It helped for me to wear Air Pods (Pro, Max) to lessen Siri trying to do things for me while enJOYing this cool amazing content! 😊 💟
imagine the NBA immersive experience you are sitting in the VIP watching the game like you are in that space. This service gonna happen for sure
I remember seeing that on Quest 1 before Apple bought the company and yanked the app off the Oculus store. It was very impressive even on a Quest 1.
idk if I could watch a full game on this . as cool as it looks, everyone says it's heavy. that's the main thing I dislike about my quest 2 and that's lighter than this.
@@wmurch3 It definitely needs a halo strap.
Until they start charging you the VIP box seat price just to tune in...
@@wmurch3 It depends on the person. Not everyone feels that it’s heavy after 30 minutes. I personally was able to do an hour with no problem!
We're at the ground floor of the next phase of personal computing. In a few year this gen one product will seem silly and crude compared to products that are much lighter and cheaper. But just like the first personal computer, we have to start somewhere.
Does it work with a Mac in clamshell mode? Would be awesome to sit there with just a keyboard and trackpad, especially on a plane ✈️
Essentially your Mac screen can go blank/black, so nobody around you can see what you’re working on. But the keyboard and trackpad still function.
Thank you Brian this videos was as immersive as the device itself.. you’re definitely undersubscribed 💪🏾💪🏾 been rocking with you for many years ..
Thank you Donnell, Subs don't matter and there are plenty of people with inflated ones. So I don't obsess over it, I just want to bring the goods to you all!
@@briantong thanks brother 💪🏾💯
I’ve spent upwards of 4k for gaming laptops… why is everybody tripping about a 3.5k headset/PC? People act like this is the most expensive thing on the market.
I’ve watched a ton of content leading up to this product launch and I can honestly say I had zero interest in being an early adopter until I watched this video. You did a great job showing the actual potential of this thing and you definitely convinced me, thanks!!
B Teezy! This is your BEST video EVER and the BEST AVP video of the day! Let's GOOOOO!!! I spent a lot of time inside of it this weekend. I watched one of your videos in Safari. I love the theater mode in a dark environment when watching movies and seeing the ambient lighting under the screen. WOW!
I was sad after watching the verge review - now I’m happy again! Awesome review and I LOVE your enthusiasm!!

What made you so sad? The truth?
@@dtz1000dude that reviewer is about the most negative nitpicky reviewer ever, EVERYTHING cutting edge he reviews is negative. Lmao.
He’s definitely for the masochists that’s for sure. Lol 😂
That guys is the only tech reviewer that doesn’t show any enthusiasm for any tech at all! You often wonder why is he even a tech reviewer
Dude… this is exciting! I’m picking mine up on Friday. But I’m dying to know if you can remote into a Windows PC from your Mac to work in 3d programs, with Parallel or Parsec.
well, seeing as you could mirror the mac's screen onto the AVP, you could use parallels
@@orimandelI would assume as much, was hoping for confirmation and how keyboard, mouse, trackpad, Wacom tablet input would work. Guess I’ll have to test it all out on Friday.
For $5k I'd better be tripling my productivity. There's nothing I saw here that was beyond a 'hey neat, that'll occupy my time for a few weeks until I get tired of it and want to sit in front of a proper screen again'.
Yeah I'm gonna wait for.sixty days and see how many of these people who have unlimited funds who are reviewing it now are still talking about it. Plus I mean a first gen product is almost never a good buy. I even waited til the second gen blackberry and iphone.
WOW this is a game changer. This is going to be huge. I don't want this video to end. lol. Thanks for making this.
Yo B! This is the best review yet! You understand your viewers and gave us what we wanted to see. Thanks for the review and keep it up!
This is such a great review !!
Fantastic review. The NBA demo was incredible. The FaceTime call was surreal. You did a great job of conveying the use cases. Give me more! - Now if I can only just afford one... Apple, if you are reading this, I'm saving my money for the OLED iPad, so I'm sold at that, but my gosh, give me a lower priced Vision Pro (half of this current price) and I'm in.
I thought isheep were rich unlike android users
@@soberanisfam1323you are big mad 🫵😂
The best review is to show how it’s like on the daily use, not talking about some nagging whining little things that has nothing to do with the actual experience (like cough the Verge cough). Brian, you nailed it! Great job.
The Verge review feels like they wanted to hate it.
@@k.vn.k nothing to do with varjo dude. Just stop.

The persona was very impressive. I can see the vision pro being very useful for a minimalistic desk setup, as in no Monitor whatsoever.
The facetime call is insane because it looks like you all are actually in a room together how it’s able to track your head movements
Literally the best review for this flagship tech
8:04 exactly what I watched this review to find out!

Thank you Romina!
I think apple made a smart move keeping the battery as a separate unit as the vision pro gets hot
of course 3300mAh batery £200 :D they set new world record
@@adredymAh is not a valid battery measurement unit. Wh matters, mAh ≠ mAh, it also depends quite a lot on voltage and cell layout. The Vision Pro battery is multiple cell, 3300mAh. Still bigger than every phone with 10000mAh.
