my mom hated video games and now the video games have become my mom 😢
The fact that Nintendo actually had to start sending out gloves because of Mario Party is still wild to me. Great video!
something that came to mind while watching was Rhythm Games. Specifically arcade ones.
I've gotten loads of arms, back, and shoulder pain from playing Wacca and Maimai, hand pains and seeing dry blood under my nails from Groove Coaster, and so so much strain on my whole body from Dancerush Stardom.
It doesnt only effect your body but the arcade cabinets as well. The boosters on Groove Coaster are often in bad condition, the drums on Taiko no Tatsujin get super worn out, and the DDR pad always needing to be fixed cuz of how hard ppl be stomping.
The things we do for hitting buttons to the music man....
this is true
AMERICA’S NEXT SCOTT THE WOZ⁉️⁉️🗣️🗣️🗣️😤😤
🥶🥶🥶🥶
Nuh uh
Idk, this feels more Scott-inspired, and not "Scott the woz 2"
Wot The Scozz
No one out-Scotts the Woz
I'm quite glad that the TH-cam algorithm recommended this video to me, it's rare to find good content creators these days, keep up the good work, you make great and quite fun content (and sorry for my bad english)
i genuinely thought this video came from a larger youtuber with how high quality this is! even though i'm an avid smash tournament watcher(and sort of competitor) i've never seen just how FAST people move their fingers over the gamecube controller. makes me glad i stick to ultimate. i'm really glad this video got recommended to me! i hope with the algorithm pushing your video you get more views and more subscribers! you're definitely deserving of it, and i absolutely love the shirt green screen.
When I was a kid, I was terrible at button mashing, so I could never beat the final boss of Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story. I never beat it until I replayed the game as a teen.
Melee's case was so bad that the creator of the game even felt bad about it and removed a lot of the more technical mechanics because of it, plus he wanted his games to be beginner friendly, that too.
Literally any rhythm game. Endurance is usually one of the main criterias in scoring difficulty because it hurts like hell to play at a high level
i just stumbled across your channel, and already i'm absolutely loving your style and the way you present your content. KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK!!!!!!
I’m going to binge your channel now! A lot of the topics interest me and I think the algorithm seems to have finally found your channel. Good luck
great editing! i was shocked to see a video of this quality came from such a small channel
This video is so cool! from a smaller creater too?? amazing!!!
Yo this hit my algorithm. Great video, subscribed! The green screen shirt idea is really clever.
After checking out a couple of your videos already, I am super glad the algorithm has finally decided to bless you, your content is amazing, keep it up!
fun fact: my 3ds' hinge broke before the triggers and i had mario kart 7. lol
When I finished watching the video, I was VERY surprised to see you only had ~1k subs because this was a very impressive video. Leaving this comment to help the algorithm and I look forward to your upcoming videos!
Another solid video my friend. For me, my hands had to entirely readjust to fit certain genres.
While Dark Souls and the other famous Miyazaki titles had me claw gripping, it was games like the Devil May Cry series and other "Character Action Games" that really would hurt my hands. Imagine taking the combo incentive from Fighting Games and mashing it into a proper 3D space for more emphasis on maneuvering and dodging. Usually your character has different weapons you can switch to on the fly and those weapons often have different combo strings, and you can even combo them together.
Yeah Devil May Cry made my hands solid steel by the end lol
I had the exact same thing happen to my DS Lite from playing Mario Kart DS. Had a 2 year warranty at Best Buy and made my mom return it probably 3 times during that time for failed shoulder buttons.
Your video is very entertaining and high quality, you deserve more subscribers!! Keep up the good work! :)
19:39 Guitar Hero.
May I present you with the most taxing genre of games on both your physical and technical devices: "Rhythm Games"
snaking in mario kart ds requires you to violate the geneva conventions against your hands
WHY DONT YOU HAVE 1M SUBSCIRBERS AFTER LIKE 5 WHOLE YEARS??? WHAT IS TH-cam DOING??? RECCOMEND THIS MAN EVERYWHERE, PUT HIM ON BILLBOARDS. WE HAVE A GOLDEN BOY. DO NOT STOP UPLOADING
speaking of button mashers, I'll never forget the final boss of the legendary starfy. i could not beat it as a kid lol, you're expected to mash the buttons way too quick
To this day, I haven't played another game that requires such intense button mashing.
Run Run Run on Gameboy Camera. Specifically, beating that DAMN mole!
Thanks for another great one :)
There was a game i had a long time ago on the ps2 called ape escape 3 and one of the minigames on it had you spin the joystick in circles very quickly... yeah kinda burned my hand with that minigame.
I remember those days playing Mario Kart DS and snaking and almost getting blisters in the palm of my hand from grinding my Nintendo DS so hard for hours until my palm of my hands get so red and sore even I did not stop doing it.
I remember speedrunning a game called duck sim 2 on pc in like November of last year, basically in the first part of the speedrun is a clicker segment where you have spam click, space, and both enter keys at the same as fast as possible for about 1 minute and 20ish seconds, my mouse literally broke in the middle of a run lol, left mouse button didn’t click down, got a new one a few days later
My mom would harp on me for being "too rough" on Guitar Hero controllers back in the day. Any more, I can't play the game without getting hand cramps. I don't have the hands for rhythm games as an adult so I play foot games instead!
Fantastic video, surprising to see the low subscriber count. Keep it up!
In super mario cart 8 on the switch, me and my friends would press the button to go so hard that out hands started hurting 💀
Golden Tee arcade games had to make the cabinets 2 separate parts to stop people from smashing their hands into the screen while teeing off. Lots of broken fingers due to that game.
Probably Mario and Luigi. Specifically bowser inside story. It has so many minigames that involve mashing a + b. Even partners in time is just as bad with its infinite bros attacks.
"Fighting games peaked at the dawn of Time... that's right, the 90's!" that joke had me going for a while, good humor
Physically Abusive Nintendo Videogames
You're not alone on the shoulder button problem. I had a New 3DS XL, and my R button was broken in only a matter of a year.
Gorilla Tag is the ultimate Quest 2 Controller killer
6:26 [Neuron activation]
When I was younger, my brother played his copy of Pokemon Diamond so much he developed carpal tunnel
I would like to add monster hunter as a ranged player because you ALWAYS hold L and ZR to position, aim, and swap through weapons. I lost two left joycons to this game
I had a problem with Mario Kart DS, but mainly on the D-Pad from snake drifting.
6:02 is it just me or are gamecube controllers just overall not that durable. When I was younger I got paper mario the thousand year door on my wii because I heard it was a good ass paper mario game. I came back to my playthrough a few years later and I had stick drift? I only played a total of two different games on there (the other one being a teen titans beat em up) and while I wasn't as careful with my controllers as I am now, I don't think they would have broken that easily especially sense I was the only person in my entire family playing the gamecube games.
Never played it myself, but I always heard horror stories from people who played Kid Icarus: Uprising.
Rhythm games.
The psp would give me pain so much that I had to stop lol
i love the gimmick of zooming out to reveal that your shirt is green screened lool
Wii Sports on the Wii, especially baseball. My arm got sore if I played too many games. If you're playing single player against an AI team you're doing both the pitching and all of the batting. That's a lot of quick arm movements, one during every play.
thank you youtube for recommending this, nice video
Bro how in the WORLD are you so low on subs and views, the thumbnail is actually a chefs kiss, love a good thumbnail, love the content, keep it up dude
With the Mario Kart DS one, I never had that game, but I do have a similar game that caused similar issues but on a different part of the system: MySims Racing.
No, it's not a button on the DS Lite that broke. No, it's not the top screen or the hinge (tho the hinge did break, but from me forgetting i had headphones in it and walking away/putting it on charge but forgetting to unplug/bad table placement, not MySims Racing). It was the palm of my hands rubbing against the corners of the DS Lite so much that a bit of it rubbed off and caused a sharp edge. Yeah. I still haven't beaten the game because of that and me wanting to do everything else before the next star rank. And there's just 1 mission path that still is unbeaten...
My guy only 1.6k subs? TF? TH-cam wtf you doin to this man? Here, have one more sub.
I Also Had/Have the same MKDS trigger issues
ive injured myself playing rythym games multiple times lmao
Tekken 7 literally fucked my wrists for 5 months now, some call it the mishima curse lol
I believe that the plastic Joystick on the n64 controller that cause painful injuries to the palm of your hand from Mario party mini games I don’t know why they didn’t have a rubber protector for the n64 controller as an accessory with the game it was a bad controller designed choice to have a plastic Joystick and I’m glad that they GameCube controller has a rubber tip for a more comfortable experience a huge improvement.
there's no way you actually played jonas on the ds
I once played Europa Universalis 4 for 7 hours a day for 3 weeks, and i was miserable
wanna know the worst kinds. rythem games. like proper ones. DDR i can see causeing injuries but personally my hands hurt so much playing Project diva that i got compression gloves to help with it. and ive broken a buncha controllers due to how high the inputs per second can be on each song Sadistic music factory on the extreme difficulty is definetly the worst of it tho
Bro! You forgot Gorilla Tag! If you smack your controller on a wall, instant damage. If you hit your hand on a wall, instant damage. An that knowledge is from my personal experience.
You know, it's funny but I had the same thing happen to me with Mario Kart DS too!
Osu ruined my arms forever
next question
I now understand why mojang added cooldowns..... For our safety :o
I know someone is going to say it, but I want to be the one who says it first dragon ball Z Budokai, Tenkaichi series
Osu osu and osu! 😢In the higher difficulty modes it requires you to press buttons that can be upto 3,000 times in 3 minutes this game is insane
One time I played deltarune and my thumb got sore
Tatsujin inflicts pain upon my drum controller lacking hands. No, a 20 minute break per hour of play is not proving helpful. F. Still fun tho :D
I blame smash bros and the back buttons of the controller. I wanted to win so badly, but the palm part of both my index fingers hurts so baaaad! My right thumb is bruised a little cuz I press the attack button or special button way too faaaaast! Ouch🥺
vr: am i a joke to you
Respect for putting ketchup all over you controller 😭
Hey, boss, I can't come to work today. I have the stigmata.
My DS L Button breaked too
If you're 3ds wasn't abused from mario kart 7 then you should of put kid icerus on here
This is a compliment but WHY DOES THIS MAN LOOK LIKE ALPHARAD WITH BROWN HAIR
Sonic Rush's Sonic vs Blaze fight ahem
I'm amazed you never brought up speedrunning. Mario Odyssey Speedrunning has some of the tightest player actions
league adc role
geometry dash lol
I CANT FUCKING ESCAPE THIS GAME (and yes it does cause hand pains)
