    Here's the main problem...... You are internalizing and listening to another culture that has never liked or loved you. When I was young I listened to a lot of that mess until I figured out that we were never liked! There was never a point where they liked us so why am I listening to a people who's only every said negative things about me?!.... That's when I woke!.... Instead of moving away from my blackness I moved towards it!.... I actually love being black because it means I don't have to be fake or phony. I live in my truth and no one else's. The world is gonna always try to put you in a box so it's up to you weather or not you want to see walls....... Wow! I just made that up!

      abianah howell: If you live to be 100 years old you will still have only been on this planet a fraction of a millisecond in the vast and endless scheme of time. Barely registering as a blip on the radar of time. So how will you spend your time here?..... Never waste valuable time and energy on people who don't even understand their own journey and self value. Your purpose is very personal. No one (not even your identical twin) will have your journey. Don't let the propaganda's and worries of the world hold you down. Finding your joy and inner peace is the only thing that matters.

      Lordcron many black women don't care what other cultures say, this video felt like it was. More directed to black men because it seems like they are the ones that push these stereotypes the most. There is a huge section on TH-cam and Twitter dedicated to bashing black women done by black men. I think black women can tolerate what other races say about us but when it comes from a black man it hurts the most. That is why the girl in the video said that only black women understand black women.

    • @lordcron
      @lordcron 7 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Then I'll say this.... It matters when and where you meet men. And most of all it matters at what point in a mans life you meet a man. Don't fall for a pretty face in a bad crowed and expect him to be a good man. Church and College events for example are a great way to meet quality guys. Then there are some very good Dating websites that screen men that you can use as well. Some guy you meet at a dark club or some bar drinking 9 times out of 10 won't be the guy you want...... You want quality? You gotta actively seek it. Don't expect your nice looks to attract a quality man. Then when you think you have one don't put on short skirts and tight clothes. Dress like you expect to be treated. If you want a quality man you have to be a quality woman........ Men pick up on things like language and slang. What you have on and most of all where you like to hang out or allow him to take you. Treat yourself like you expect a man to treat you so that way when and if you run into a good man then he already knows your a lady and not a chic. Lastly don't expect every man to treat you like gold and say nice things to you. It's not realistic. Not all men are bad and some of them will treat you like he sees you treat yourself.....

    I am black and I raised in the white community for years. They all mostly treated me like a woman and they are friendly. They don't see my skin color. They welcome me all the time. I sleep in their houses and I shared their foods. Even white men flirt with me. I gotta say they have great parents raising them well and teach them to see everyone as equal. I would do the same. Racism comes from racist parents from the old generation pass to their children, they are poison. To me what I observe, racist parents are jealous that the young generation getting more freedom so they pass racism to their children to keep them seperate from getting along with other races. Messed up. White people and other races who are against racism are REAL and BEST. They are my hood. They are the true human race, racists cannot be the human race. Period

Do they not know how strong these black men and women are to overcome the white domination I have the upmost respect for them and I have the upmost respect for anyone except people who are discriminative in any way. If you're discriminative in any way you're as important a one grail of sand because that's what you are one grain of sand in a beach of accepting and loving people.

      AGAIN, the generalizing of black people. Black people are not "All strong" because they fought against racism. Some helped, some didn't, and some just secured their stereotypes, making it hard for other black people to convince bigots they were decent. This video falls under the latter of the 3

      Lavar Ball and no I'm 15 and I wear weave(braids) at times because our frizzy hair is extremely annoying and it takes lots of time to do, putting it in braids makes it easier for us to just put it in a ponytail and go. Keep in mind, WE DONT HAVE WAVY HAIR so it's harder for us to just keep it in one place, and plus lots of people tend to shame frizzy hair, so I just wear it in braids.

    I'm a white girl who has been born and raised in the South. Racism is a huge problem in society, but especially in the South. Black girls get called names and get a lot of hate at my school. I can't stand racism though. Everyone is the same Caucasians, African Americans, Asians, etc. Just because someone's skin tone isn't the same as yours doesn't mean they're any different. It's what's on the inside that matters. Think about how you would feel if you were ridiculed because of your skin tone before saying it to or about someone else.

She only used this platform to get likes, to benefit her, to fit her narrative not to speak about how she stood up against racism with Black women. If she did, she would have said she did. But I wouldn't believe it because that is what people do. Always staying silent about others sufferings because it doesn't affect them personally especially when it comes to the mistreatment of Black people.

It's was grows out of our scalp yet businesses and schools require that we change that. We have to straighten / cream ( burn with chemicals) to the point that it has to look like the straight hair. In Banks and institutes they must look like this. Before Never was there schools that would allow us to wear our natural hair untampered because we had to fit the mold of refined which was according to them three white woman. No anymore. When you are a black woman, your heritage and legacy can not be obliviated. My grandfather´s grandma was a slave and she was dressed as a doll and closed in a gift box when she was little on her white owners birthday. When she finally was free, her kids never had a father, a last name. They never had shoes. That´s the past, but sadly is also the present. When white people says black poeple are angry for no reason, they need to look closer.Are u really treating me as a person or as your fetish, as your maid, as your subordinate, as your inferior, as your pleasure, as your new slave?
    Sorry, but I have to figth back. Not with my fists, but my education, my culture, my tradition, my legacy, my heritage. I have to figth back for my grandfather´s grandma story: her name was Gabriela, she was a slave black woman and I wish she knew I remember her, I´m proud of her and what she was.

      Dear Mitzi: I loved your response.I was not refering only to the Internet, I was also talking about real life, where racism had morphed into new forms: subestimation, under recognition, mocks, fetish...I´m happy to find people like you, who only cares about character, but I also have to deal with a lot of other persons who shows tolerance and respect in appearence, but do the opposite. For a long long time I kept in silence. Say nothing, do nothing, don´t show yourself as offended because they will come for more, I used to tell myself. But that´s not the way. I´m not a perpetual figther but I have to say something, because I have a voice. many black people in history never knew how to defend themselves, how to explain themselves, or never had the oportunity to. I´m a social cuban researcher and I´m doing everything I can because racism is toxic for evryone, white, asian, black pleople, no matter what. I can not hesitate or hate my white side because of my genetics. I figth for both.

      Nice post. It is indeed a tragedy what has happened to our ancestors in this country. I as a black male just finds it very hard to legitimize anyone’s ignorance in my direction.
      When I hear racist comments, and I know I’m not everyone else, it can’t bother me. Race was invented in this country, after Bacon’s Rebellion, to make slave ownership more economical, and to disrupt the poor planters who at one time were both white and black.
      So now since slavery is no more in this country, the whites that use race only use it to boost their ego. Responding to such rhetoric, only strengthens their ego.
      It’s from a place of power to not expect anything from whites. They don’t own your faculties for seeing and understanding.
      Truly understanding the ego at play, it will be impossible for you to be emotionally compromised by race.
      But if you wish to believe in race, you’ll be subscribing to the very thing that was created to enslave you.

I heard them from behind me... I was just standing there.. being black... never replied... just left the store & continued to try and keep my esteem from lowering..again...... so It might happen again but I don't deserve karma for my hair texture.

It was really hard for me dude like I remember just wanting to be different so much but at the same time, I didn’t want to over do it in like a stereotypical kinda way. I’ve felt targeted every since I could remember. And I just hate the fact that it took me this long to finally be who I am now. My future kids will be confident. My experience with random encounter with Black women through years were nothing but bad experience. I would accidently almost hit their cart at a market and apologize but instead they would stand there giving rude comments and yell at me and would not go away. So yes there are many of those rude, annoying, angry black women that thinks the world is against them and that they need to instigate unnecessary situations.

    • @cmitch5598
      @cmitch5598 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Agreed. I’ve met a few very sweet black women. But most of the time they’re rude, loud and abrasive. I know how I sound, but it’s just the way they’ve treated me. I remember being at the grocery store and there was a family of black girls the mom and a few daughters. The two daughters were riding around on handicapped driving carts, and I tried to allow them to get by and go ahead of me in the aisle. I was kind of just standing there and the one girl (looking disgusted with me and with such attitude) says “let her go first cause she don’t know what she doin” like excuse me I was trying to be nice and give them passage to the aisle we were both in. And 9 times out of ten they’re rude and have attitude to me and I know it’s because I’m white. It’s so wrong and annoying.

    • @olgacu470
      @olgacu470 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @Cmitch I completely agree with you. 99% of them are aggressive. When I drove by accident scenes where blacks were involved, I felt compassion for the other, white people, because black cant settle the problem peacefully, they always yell, and behave aggressive. I was always afraid of getting in an accident with black people. Recently, I had my very first light accident. I made a light scratch on black people's car. I apologized and was ready to exchange the information, but they took a bat out of their trunk. They were very aggressive. It is painful for me to remember that day.
      In addition, we lived in white (chinese, Vietnamese, Slavic people, white Americans) apartment complex. We had never had noice, police on the property. When the management decided to let the black people live in there as well, the noise, police, and fear appeared. They think that only they live here, they don't respect "quiet time" at night completely.

    I had to do a lot of scrolling to see what people was talking about the comments being "toxic" and I'm surprised I found such hateful and discriminatory comments. Me being a 13 year old african-american young lady sometimes feel like my generation is hopeless. And these comments takes the icing off the cake. I feel like as an african-american I shouldn't be put down based off of stereotypes nor the color of my skin. We all aren't angry its a damn emotion but the "angry black women" thing is what the media wants you to see but its just a human being expressing her emotion! So for the people who commented saying disrespectful and discriminatory bs you are part of the reason why black women are stereotyped this way and the only reason we are expressing this emotion is because we are tired of feeling like these stereotypes define us as black women. Which They Don't! who every read this to the end thank you for hearing what I had to say.

    She said it for me at 2:53. I had a terrible experience at the doctor's office yesterday and they did not understand why I was upset when my appointment was delayed 3 hours and I still couldn't eat and I started my period at the same day. Wouldn't you be frustrated? I really felt alone and that everyone was making me seem like I was a crazy person in that situation. Plus I was paying for a home health care company to take me to and from my appointment and I had to pay by the hour. So I'm at paying extra hours because their office was running behind. And they greeted me with attitude when I asked them how much longer it was going to be. I really wanted to throw everything about office but I didn't want to be labeled an angry black woman and go to jail. And it was really irritating when the doctor brought me back and condescendingly tried to explain to me how surgeries work and that I was disrupting the office when his employee got an attitude. Don't be surprised when you come to someone without attitude and you get it back. This is not the first time I've been treated like this in an office and I really feel like it's because the staff and the majority of patients are white.

      I have no doubt you earned what you have.
      Yes, white people definitely benefit from being white in many ways. You get instant credibility. I see this on a daily basis. Even the Harvard Business Review did an feature article a few months ago on diversity, and it said that they observed cases where some white men actually gave wrong answers when tested on job interviews, and the review board members would blame it on them having a bad day or give them the benefit of the doubt more than anyone. With women and minorities, they were penalized severely for making a mistake. For some minorities, the review board would try to find fault even with the right answers. I know there are white men who are smart, hardworking and who earned the right to sit at the table. But they do benefit from their social status, whether it's actually merited or not. Same with a black woman but the opposite end. A black woman is penalized based on social status, whether that penalty is actually merited or not. That's just social order.

I've been called lowball names by men i dont even know and yet always told to let it go, be cool, don't say anything, don't get angry, noone has the right to tell me how to feel about my own self respect.

      There was alot of hatred being delivered in the comments but thats there opinion & we all have opinions. In my opinion I absolutely LOVE black women. I love that black women still even have love within they hearts for the man. Black women in general are very sweet & kind. If you can crack that shell & you get to actually talk & spend time with her & get to know her deeper you've got a pass but gotta use it wisely cause it can get real uncomfy if you a simp or an alpha male. Its all about knowing how to deal with certain types of personalities. We all have fallen short & made mistakes but i can say that nothing make a man feel better than a woman who is not a thorn in his side, i need that im happy to see you look, & im happy to come home & be with you. Love yourself & love eachother.

    Why is it that everyone else can be "opinionated" or "angry" about something and it is not discussed? A black lady once told me “you better not be on my way” because she was walking fast at a grocery store and I guess i was on her way so she proceeded to shove me. I have experienced a lot of similar incidents. When i have any interaction with black women 9 out of 10 are rude. No other race of women are this angry. I don’t know if you are black, I really don’t want to generalize but when you experience something like this on a daily basis. It’s hard not to.

      Why can't people just stop being racists? Black men are being pushed around too. My best friend Joey and I go to conventions like comic con, otuka con, and cosplay gathering all across America. We go and he carries our clothes and I carry our prosthetics and makeup. One day he pulled a muscle in his wrist so he couldn't carry the clothes bags because they were heavier so he carried out makeup. In the makeup bag we have a machine to mix the solutions to make the foam prosthetics. He got pushed into a wall by a security guard and they guy broke the machine because it looked 'dangerous'. The only reason the security guard broke it is because Joey's black. I've never had any of my belonging broken by a guard. Guards will even sometimes pull him and I over saying we looked 'suspicious'. Honestly we probably looks suspicious because Joey is the only black guy there. Racism is still here. People who say its gone need to open their eyes.
