@@nextgentvreborn5187 or.... I was unable to overlook how much of a bully wannabe he was and loftily dismissed those he thought to be lower than himself (Hermione- called her mudblood on several occasions, Ron, Harry, Hagrid) I did kinda pity him at first. But on my rerun I was reminded how much of a jerk he had been by choice. So I guess I have mixed feelings now, slightly inclined towards not pitying him though. But as I said, I absolutely respect that he listened to his conscience and chose the right side and subtly helped Harry. And yeah Narcissa too. Lucius on the other hand skedaddled outta fear, not introspection of the path he was following.
Damn you can almost feel hurt Snape feels, watching her restrained in mid air, knowing he can't blow his cover. The BIG difference between Snape & Voldemort is love. If Snape never knew what love is, he'd be right up there with Voldemort, in power. That's why in part 2 he doesn't really try to fight him.. He knows it's pointless because of the horcruxes Voldemort has. I'm sure if he didn't have the horcruxes, they'd be pretty evenly matched! Back in the day, when Voldemort went & killed James & Lilly, i would almost bet Snape, could'ce taken him then to, he just didn't have followers like Voldemort, so not only going to try & stop him (pointless because of all the horcruxes) he would've gotten himself killed, along with James & Lilly. So he turned to Albus Dumbledore, because he has follwerers that can help him. That's just how i see them when compared, they are both even, but Voldemort has the horcruxes, & followers, something Snape is lacking, but Snape does have a heart!
I totally and completely agree. I believe Snape is actually more powerful. Just skill set alone with no tricks up his sleeve to aid him. Definitely a very talented, powerful and most of all brave wizard. He had a good heart behind the facade.
I highly dount snape is on a level of power with voldemort, he may some how come on the same spectrum of power but not as an equal. He is quite powerful tho
Yeah Voldemort has pretty much made it clear from the graveyard scene that he owes wormtail slightly for his aid but he never respected wormtail at all. And Snape treats wormtail like crap in spinner's end too; but that could also be because Pettigrew betrayed Lily to Voldemort and thus Snape holds a grudge.
Snape’s face when he sees Charity the first time at 1:07 is truly chilling. It’s almost as if the mask slips for one quick second. Alan outdid himself in this scene…all the actors did.
Snape: They believe we've infiltrated the ministry- Random Death Eater: *snorts* Well, they got that right LOL I never know who that Death Eater is, but he always made me laugh at that part
Bet that pissed most of not all the other death eaters off. Look at them all trying to get on Voldemort hood side and he doesn’t give a damn he, only really shows interest in snape
Interesting he walked behind Draco Malfoy for a second... if he would have chosen to take Dracos wand and disarmed him he would actually have gained power to the Elder wand and been able to defeat Harry Potter
This creepy scene is a clear depiction of the darker, harsher and more violent tone of Deathly Hallows compared with the previous films. Finally, Harry Potter adventures aim at adult audiences.
Inghamfamilylover 123 If one ignores the fact the Dark Lord: Tried to kill him as a Baby, Tried to kill him when he acquired the Philosophers Stone, Tried to kill him (well, his Horcrux did) in the Chamber of Secrets, Tried to kill him in the Riddle Graveyard, Tried to kill him in the Ministry after mind raping him for a Year And probably would have tried to kill him had he been with the Death Eaters that killed Dumbeldore.
Ralph Fiennes is literally one of my absolute favourite actors in the world and he absolutely slays every single scene he is in amongst the wizarding world
Bellatrix: Um, my Lord I'd like to volunteer myself for this task- Voldemort: ? Bellatrix: I want to kill the boy... Voldemort: I must be the one to kill Harry Potter. Bellatrix: Are you.. sure? Voldemort: Most sure of it. Bellatrix: But what if- Voldemort: NO. Bellatrix: O-okay...
The amount of rage and hate Snape must have felt every time he had to look at the man who killed the person he loved the most while keeping a straight face to not blow up his cover
I've always find the fact that Snape could remain hidden remarkable, if Dumbledore was the most powerful wizard of that era then Snape would have been second and Voldemort third, cause Snape it's the only one who can really lie to him and be able to stare him in the eye, and oddly treat him like equal or lesser than him, love it's truly the greatest power in the HP universe...
Also the story would have been great if snape really cared for Harry, which he did but only for the sake of lily because he thinks she would have wanted her son safe from the dark lord. I think because he was her son, Snape should have genuinely loved him without ever letting anyone know. They could have shown it in his memories.. Because they tried to portray that snape was obsessed with lily and didn't just love her which is sad.. all I want to say is that this character deserved a better story, not that it wasn't great but his obsession for lily was absurd.
@@prabhsimransandhu1620 i would also love if he cared about harry and not only lily! but personally I don't think he was obsessed with her, i think he felt really guilty, and he felt like if he was in debt with her, and protecting her son was his way of "paying" his debt.
@vale I think so too! But people keep saying things about Snape. Well, he isn't a "controversial character" for nothing. People keep saying he was obsessed with lily which I find weird because I don't think he was obsessed with her. It just messes up my mind and the way I look at this character. I personally, love this character even though he did terrible things but one can't deny the fact that he died for the greater good.
Nah Snape was better at Occulemency (shielding his mind) and maybe potions (Slughorn implied only one student was ever good enough to to brew Felix flFelcies and that was the Half-Blood Prince based on the textbooks which means Snape was better than Voldemort as they were both taught by Slughorn.) Voldemort had incredibly deep understanding of magic, particularly dark magic and was one of the best Legimence alive. Only Dumbledore, Snape, and sometimes Harry Potter can keep him out. Snape is definitely high class but not on Voldemort or Dumbledore's level. Beyond comparing Dumbledore, Voldemort, and Grindelwald who all have extremely powerful magic and deep knowledge of it, the others are based on what you value most. Snape was a skilled duelist, potions master, and occumlens. However Mcgonagall was better at transfiguration and a very skilled duelist in her own right. The same with Flitwick. Mad Eye Moody before retirement would probably have been more than a match for Snape but it us again based on subjective opinions and thoughts on what makes one a more powerful witch or wizard.
+sandra ch She is pretty good, but I think the hair here is a little over-the-top. She's been out of Azkabhan for ages, she probably should found time to give it a proper combing. Her insanity should come through from her actions, not her appearance.
Wander Lust Hm, I suppose, but to that extent? Hair dynamics aren't really my expertise, but I do wonder...she could at least have combed a bit of it out of her eyes.
I actually feel it looks better now. I'm cosplaying Bellatrix this march/april and I deliberately picked this scene as an example for her hair, since in the first few movies, I hated how it was combed to one side and ultra-frizzy. In this scene, it's kindof like a baroque wig, with long large curls. Also, she looks less crazy and her teeth look better, not as deranged as whe she just escaped Azkaban.
Yes..he always seemed a bit different towards Snape. I always felt he was too hard on Bella. I mean..she was very very clever..did a lot for him..was super powerful and never screwed up (at least not something that was really her fault).
DutchHPfan1992 He sure as well was different towards Snape. He believed that Snape had both syayed loyal to Voldemort while he was gone for all those years, but that he'd somehow been able to convince Dumbledore otherwise, convince him that he had changed sides. We now obviously know that Snape wasn't Voldy's guy as literally every person but Dumbledore believed. Lucius on the hand, he was all "I'm a Death Eater forever" but he & his family were much better off prior to Voldy's return. He wss not pleased with Lucius.
In the beginning I really disliked Snape because he was nothing but mean to Harry but as the story went on we got to know his background and reasons. Now everybody loves him! He is so brave!
@@hmmmno9511 i understand why for first 6 books he was told as dark and in last book it was revealed he was a good man and brave too so it's hard to everyone to forget all the things even though they were done on purpose they cannot just forget the hate of them and could not let go but you have to understand that he is great and noble try to see that he is what he is a good man at the end of the day

When Snape first walks into the dining room and sees Charity Burbage floating above the table you can see that he’s spooked. Also considering that they were colleagues. The actor playing Lucius is so good here. Lucius looks so unsettled and frightened I just can't dislike him anymore. I just feel sorry for him. And I'm glad he and his family escaped with their lives.
Whenever you feel bad for him, remember how he treated Dobby.
@@syednoorerasul Draco probably did the same according how bad he spokes abount House Elfes but still feel pity for him.
@@nextgentvreborn5187 speak for yourself. I don't. Although I do admire that he had a face turn in the end.

@@nextgentvreborn5187 or.... I was unable to overlook how much of a bully wannabe he was and loftily dismissed those he thought to be lower than himself (Hermione- called her mudblood on several occasions, Ron, Harry, Hagrid)
I did kinda pity him at first.
Snape isn’t afraid of Voldemort at all. He just walks in like he owns the place. What a badass.
Snape was so badass. He really knew how to make an entrance. Ugh my fave character!!!
Anne x The music really added to it!
@@Wanderingsoul263 He would have been very powerful but not more powerful than Voldemort. Tom is a prodigy.
@@davidortiz3094 nope
I highly dount snape is on a level of power with voldemort, he may some how come on the same spectrum of power but not as an equal. He is quite powerful tho
Snape is my fav but no he’s outside the realm of Voldemort. He’s top 4 though behind dumbledore, grindlewald, and Voldemort I believe

2:33 - Listen to how Voldemort speaks to Wormtail. Moral of the story is that nobody respects a rat, not even those for whom he ratted.
You mean a literal rat?
Yeah Voldemort has pretty much made it clear from the graveyard scene that he owes wormtail slightly for his aid but he never respected wormtail at all. And Snape treats wormtail like crap in spinner's end too; but that could also be because Pettigrew betrayed Lily to Voldemort and thus Snape holds a grudge.
@@l.n.3372 it's just that wormtail is so coward and pathetic that everyone hates him

That moment when the strongest dark wizard of all time saved you a seat and meets you like an old friend.
The way Severus' waves the wand is so elegant.
Snape’s face when he sees Charity the first time at 1:07 is truly chilling. It’s almost as if the mask slips for one quick second. Alan outdid himself in this scene…all the actors did.

Bet that pissed most of not all the other death eaters off. Look at them all trying to get on Voldemort hood side and he doesn’t give a damn he, only really shows interest in snape
Bellatrix’s reaction to the concept of wizards mating with muggles is so immature that it’s hilarious. 🤣
This opening scene really sets things up for the remainder of the series. This ain't children worrying over detention and exams any more.
“Severus, come we saved you a seat.”
*Snape: Oh hell no. But we gotta do this.”

Snape was the bravest man. Imagine having to play a double agent and not arouse suspicion from both sides.. he's a hero to have pulled that off..
i keep thinking if this happened in real life in WW2 a double agent for the allies against the Nazis'!
Draco like: Mum, I thought this was dinner out with some friends, but why tf is there a snake on the table
Really liked snapes entrance. It's like he's ready for business.
Hahaha I love Bellatrix, even the way she clears her throat is awesome! XD
YOUR AWESOME
Zany Zebra11 No, you're awesome.
I'd like to clean her throat if you catch my drift...
Snape was never as powerful as Tom. Ya trippin
can u belive that these movies are like 15yrs old!??!?!?!? I LOVE HARRY POTTER
You know you’re a badass when you show up late and Voldemort is okay with it.
"Glad you could make it Severus, I'm afraid Nagini ate your dinner"

Damn, Alan Rickman and Ralph Fiennes acted the shit out of this scene. 🙌🏻😃
i love bellatrix, she is my favorit. Helena playing bellatrix so amazing
Hair dynamics aren't really my expertise, but I do wonder...she could at least have combed a bit of it out of her eyes.
ur awesome!
Well, I guessed she had found a dentist in the meantime... Dementors must be not that good at caring
R.I.P Alan Rickan We Will Forever Love too:(
asia hannah lubian Always.
Voldemort let out a large scream once bellatric died
DutchHPfan1992 Yes he was to hard to Bellatrix, when you think she is the mother of his Daughter Delphi Riddle/Lestrange
Wait a minute is that even canon?
Random Fox, I wish it wasn't, I don't even know if it is even canon. Don't read it.
2:28 lol, voldemort's face when bellatrix calls him "my lord"
Gotta admit that Snape played the undercover role very well. This scene is so intense.
I think for a fleeting moment Snape was like, "the fuck?" when he arrived.
"I want to kill the boy." omg just listen to her voice. She's dying for Voldy.
Voldermort sounds so kind to Snape when he tells him they've saved Snape a seat
Snape is acting like he's Voldemorts most faithful death eater
He was to Voldemort at least
I knew when I saw this intro in theaters they weren’t fucking around with the last two movies
In the beginning I really disliked Snape because he was nothing but mean to Harry but as the story went on we got to know his background and reasons. Now everybody loves him! He is so brave!
He had no reason to be cruel to Lily son harry
Bleh I still hate Snape
@@hmmmno9511 i understand why for first 6 books he was told as dark and in last book it was revealed he was a good man and brave too so it's hard to everyone to forget all the things even though they were done on purpose they cannot just forget the hate of them and could not let go but you have to understand that he is great and noble try to see that he is what he is a good man at the end of the day

Snape enters the room and says 'open page 394'
"One hears many things my lord, wether the truth is among them is not clear"

2:33 “Wormtail,” said Voldemort, with no change in his quiet, thoughtful tone, and without removing his gaze from the revolving body above, “have I not spoken to you about keeping our prisoner quiet?”
The score the opening is so badass. You know that Harry Potter has taking a dark turn
When Snape first walks into the dining room and sees Charity Burbage floating above the table you can see that he’s spooked. Also considering that they were colleagues. Bc he’s a spy for Dumbledore at this point, his facial expression seems like he’s thinking “ok breathe you can do this” type of mentality. A great actor Alan Rickman is.
