Hey man, you gets my big respect. I ran about over 20 times of losing, and realize the same issues which can only be refined in practicing. And you have covered them very neatly. The troublesome boss fight you captured is just gold, after all. God bless hunter's life. Forever Night Elf.
I've started learning this run and have done it a few times. Watched a half dozen guides prior. None of the guides with their perfect 11:40 runs or my own experience were able to teach me some of thw things you covered here. It's great. Thank you! I learned you can LOS Fengus close enough to smell his armpits. I learned you can do any pull in the run with 10sec still on your FD CD. I learned you can use Dash or Dive from pet stay position to Cho pull and it will be available again in time for its retreat. And I learned how to pad for time on a FD recovery. You did get one thing wrong though. There are a couple packs of Reavers that stay hostile to uncrowned party members after King dies and none of the Doomguards will stay hostile. The Reavers are the pack in front of Kromcrush, and the pair that you scattershot before invis, next to stairs book spawn
Thanks for the nice comment ^^ And yeah - it only took me a day or two after making the video to realize some of the mistakes I wrote - I tried to make some annotations for it in the video but couldn't figure it out with the new youtube video editor. There is 1 additional hostile humanoid pack that people can aggro at the corner very early in the instance. I also learned that pulling the boss with eyes of the beast is way better. Just stand in position where you want the pet during the boss fight - eyes of the beast and run past the boss (body pull), and cancel it when they aggro. Re-summon your pet, mend it if it took a hit, and jump down when bosses get close to you. This saves some time every run =) Also, feign death can resist even behind pillars if the bosses are too close to you. If they're far enough away it will never resist when you LOS them. Have a nice day!
He does that when he's close enough to queue an attack. Even if you're behind the pillar, he will power through if he's close enough. When you get into those situations (it will happen), drop down from the ledge and feign on the bottom level so you don't risk it :)
Awesome guide! After 2 days following some other videos and probly over 50 deaths I got to boss after just a few more attempts with your nice suggestions. Something that really helped me is not wasting too much time waiting for a "perfect" setup in the room with the key chest, if you go as soon as the wandering brute walks away from his first stay position by the ramp you can pet pull and run to chest without any other packs in the way.
That pull before cheetah+invis at the ramp has been my bane for a few attempts now. Get resisted FD way to much to be normal. Also, same area-ish - last night I got too close to the frostboss before FD and he charged me during the FD. Charge knocked me out of FD. Tried to scatter him (obviously didn't work but reflexes) then gnomish cloaking device to vanish. Success! Then I melee auto attack him... Next attempt I got to the ramp. FD. Things reset. Everything's good in the world. Then the eye respawns and drops demons on me... I feel there's so many variables to keep track of when it comes to the timing after a failed run. At any rate, great video!
For that difficult pull, you can jump from the skeleton on the floor and up to the ledge. From there concussive the right ogre, and scatter the left, and jump down. Makes it more managable if you're having troubles! And yeah - so many variables ^^ Happens to the best of us, and we all get better at it the more attempts we do :)
If you fail a run reset the dungeon by running out and right clicking your portrait and then clicking "Reset all instances". Then when you zone back in start right away so that way all the patrols and everything always start in the same spot.
Great tutorial, helped a lot... god, that music in the beginning haunts me, somehow I think this is damn great and come back to this video from time to time just to hear it again, no kidding O.o
I believe 2nd time wasn't a resist you Serpent Stinged king at 12:48. FD 13:01. Serpent Sting ticks for 101 at 13:03. You get aggro back. Nice Guide =)
If you reset the instance and don't waste any time, you'll never get the extra pack left of the stairs, as you will be on a good cycle. I suppose you could pet pull it away though =)
I do the part before the seaforium door exactly like you, but sometimes it's impossible not to aggro the right mob pack. And I just don't know what to do then. The pet dies to early if I let it aggro it on purpose
If the closest ogre in the right pack is lvl 59, you have a chance to agro it. How to get around it: Send your pet to the reaver by the seaforium door, then to the right pack, and then passive back to stay position. After the right pack is aggroed by pet, run past and blast open the door. Pet will still survive, and you have plenty time to make it.
Nice guide man, just a few questions.. - Do I need to be an engineer to get the seaforium charges or can I buy them off the AH? - What addons are you using for your UI ??
Thanks! You can buy them off the auction house - but you need to be an engineer to use them. For my UI I'm using ElvUI and Titanpanel. Details! for damage meter, and Classic Threat for threatmeter.
You might know this already but when Gordok dies that far out on the ramp you can loot him from below. Only saves a few seconds but its something (; Great video! Edit: despite the tooltip not specifying it, Fengus buff actually only buffs melee attack power... a real bummer :/ So the only one Im grabbing is 15% stamina
It rarely does if you have some distance between yourself and the ogres. If they are in melee range however, feign death is often interrupted by their batched attacks. Batching in classic is very annoying when you try to feign death in melee range - cause it appears like a resist, but is most often not. If it resists here you are kinda dead. You can pop deterrence/summon pet/grenade stun, healing potion, try and stay alive for 30s until FD is ready again. But most often this is a fatal spot to have a FD resist.
I specced it 90 to all resistances, max rank furious howl / dash, and 50/50 into stamina and armor. This is not an ideal pet-spec, and I would suggest that you look up 'pet training points' for both PVP and PVE purposes, mine is sort of a hybrid :)
Drinking will always give you mana if you manage to start drinking. You can never get health however if you are in combat with your hunter. The spirits around the edge will put you in combat if you are in line of sight with them. If you need to drink AND eat, drop down the ledge so that you LOS the spirits. Then you're able to not only regen mana, but health as well :)
Hey, really appreciate the video! I noticed that you believe 2x feign death resist back to back is impossible to recover, but im pretty sure that the Gnomish Cloaking Device can save your arse. It has a 1 hour CD and is a trinket, but the 2x feign death resist is pretty rare so i think its worth it
Cloaking device is very handy, especially on the way to the boss room. I haven't needed it once during the boss fight lately, because if you feign death behind a pillar with the bosses far enough away - it literally never will resist. Definetely a good pickup, though :)
They rely on both, but mainly LOS, however: If the boss is close to you, and behind a pillar, he can batch a spell and hit you through both pillar and feign death if he's too close. In these situations you have to drop down to the ledge below and feign there :)
Does feign death ever bug out for you? Many times, I will FD (making sure I stop completely, and not holding down any mouse buttons) and the mobs will keep attacking me? This is without standing up at all BTW, and it doesn't say resisted. This has to be a bug right?
I have a few ideas - maybe: 1. The mob is too close when you feign death, and has queued up an attack that happens after you feign death - thus 'cancelling' the effect. 2. It resists, even though it doesn't say 'resisted'. 3. The aggro tables between mobs can be shared, and one of the other mobs resist it. Generally I found if you feign death around a corner/pillar and at a decent range from the mobs - it never bugs/resists at all.
So i am having a problem. I can get to the boss just fine. But when i am their i do as you do, but then randomly one or both boss's will just turn around and run after me after a feign death like 3-4 seconds after(not resisted). I have not fired any arrows, changed aspect or even eaten food. Anyone have any idea what i am doing wrong?
Quite possible their aggro tables are shared. To avoid this, you need to body pull them both at the exact same time with your pet. Hey - it's based on vendoring the loot. You can make more by disenchanting the low value items for materials. Why not eyes of beast pull boss? much quicker ime. Re the pull where you blow the door: maybe you can skip the packs as a female nelf but as horde/savory human you sometimes cannot without noggenfogger tiny. Worst part of a run.
Nice but a couple of things missed in terms of fuckups. You dont talk about feign death going off CD and not reacting, for example if u get hit the second you feign. You dont talk about the invis pot not lasting long enough to aggro that last pack in the stairs. You dont talk about bugs running to you, instead of to your pet.
I can talk about it here =) 1. When Feign doesn't react it is because the mobs are too close / in line of sight, or both. I always make sure to go around corners before I feign, and try to keep mobs far enough away so this doesn't happen. What happens is that the mobs have batched an attack that comes before your feign death - so even if you feign they will complete the attack, and thus it fails. 2. When invis pot doesn't last long enough - it might be because you don't have minor run speed on boots. This should always do the trick. If you aggro, concussive the reaver, scatter it when it comes closer, and go to the top of the ramp around the corner to the left, and wait for CD there. You will never die in this spot if you do this. 3. When the bugs run to you and not to pet, it is because you didn't let pet attack them for a full second before you start running. They aggro in a staggered manner, so you need to wait for all of them to run to the pet, or you can bodypull some of them yourself. If you do get unlucky and agro them, just step back to your FD spot, let the pet die, and continue as usual after reviving it =) Cheers!
@@HermanBirk The bugs can go towards you even if you are still and in shadowmeld. I always do the double pull on bugs, u send pet to first bug, then let him run through the ogre pack and then send it to the pack closest to the locked door. Usually works better and saves maybe 45 seconds.
The fd problem fucked me over lots of times also. Also for the inv pot not lasting enough you can spec improved aspect of the cheetah twice which will make you go 6% faster

Ive wasted so much time vendoring, never knew there was a vendor inside the dung wtf
I can talk about it here =)
If you do get unlucky and agro them, just step back to your FD spot, let the pet die, and continue as usual after reviving it =)
Cheers!
Also minor speed enchant on boots does notbstack with aspect of the cheetaj as far as i know so even if you have it will make no dofference
don t drain mana on Cho when he is a mage. It s more simple when you can just LOS his casts !
Mrfofifonfec2 it’s up to personal preference - but yes it’s definetely faster due to saving mana etc 😄
You drain his main so he stop's healing...
You need to let pet hit boss at least one offensive ability and then bosses wont agro whenever you drink 🍷
On super important fact to this farm. YOU NEED ENGINEERING. Nowhere does it state that from the start. You cant open the door without a charge and you cant use them unless you have engineering. What a waste of my time.
Literally in the description of the video:
''what you need to do this run:
Engineering"
this music is so anoying cba to watch this
Omg noob. L2P PLZ, not to repeat.
