You can skip the first pack entirely by just waiting for the ogre on the right to move away and then jumping up on the ledge at an angle (hit it right at the center of the pillar, facing the ramp), you might get aggro while running past the mobs on the ledge itself after, but they'll reset just like in the video. No need to sacrifice your pet there. There are a lot of other packs that can be skipped without sacrificing the pet as well, but this one's the most reliable.
Just like you , I much refer running the mobs down the stairs over frost trap to seaforium rather than having pet tank one/freezing trapping. Safer imo. Only takes an extra 5 sec. and don’t have to worry about accidental pulls from other packs
You can pull the carrion swarmers and scorions in a explosive trap and fisnish them with ungoro Crystal Charge or Engi grenades. Good for the way back.

1. gear doesn't matter because its just mechanics 2. i'm running this spec for the run classic.wowhead.com/talent-calc/hunter/3-05251030513051-332020041002 however I'm already hit capped by my gear, I wouldn't recommend it for a fresh lvl 60 your spec when you hit lvl 60 should look like this classic.wowhead.com/talent-calc/hunter/2-05251030513051-33202004103 3. bite or claw doesn't matter the pet is just there to move the pack away. 4. I think at 2:10 he sets a stay commmand. Then he orders the pet to attack mobs then run back to stay command so that he can create enough distance between pet and himself to despawn pet (pet will dismiss with no happiness loss if it is far enough away from the player).
Thanks for showing a way how to do this on a blizz server. Seems quite a bit slower then on those private servers because of positioning, aggro range and boss speed differences. Have to see if it's more efficient then maraudon for gold after optimizing it or if it's simply used for worldbuffs and some loot early on

There is another way to do it . You stand to the corner that you leave your pet from the beginning , when you send your pet in and make it follow you it disappears because it's too far away. Then you just recall it and make it stay there.
@@FateRealm boss gets aggro on pet but literally 0 threat so serpent sting ticks will make the boss aggro back on you while drinking I would recommend putting your pet in the corner and have it dash right before you engage the boss, like that pet will run back to the corner way faster than the king and he won't catch up

@@linknot5122 don't know about 45 but it looks like 30 minutes in your video, but it's hard to say because of the cuts. Like 4 minutes to the door, about 16 minutes (minus some minor cuts) from the door to the boss, so about 20 minutes to get to the boss. Afterwards it takes you about 3 1/2 minutes to get the boss from around 30% to down, and that's after the caster is already oom, so it seems like the bossfight took nearly 10 minutes. Nonetheless a big help for people figuring out a route to use.
Happens to me sometimes too. However, poly effect is already over until they reach to my pet so I don't have an issue with it. If that fails too, I feign death at the ramp, then run and jump at the little ledge you see at 1:50 because usually mobs around the ramp will aggro you.
i know this is two weeks later but if you wait for the pet to have everyone casting on him they won't sheep... I'm saying you might be running in a little too soon

Trying to get this on farm is perhaps one of the most frustrating things I've done in classic so far. I'm gonna quit not before all my hair turns grey.
Try to hit the bug closest to you with your pet and make sure you see the other bugs moving towards your pet before you start moving ,also watch out for the boss patrolling track humanoids will help.

I think the key drops from the first guard in dm north. So kill him (should be doable as a solo hunter), take the key, reset and start the run. Should work, too unless the key disappars when you leave.
So the boss runs that much that is impossible to do it like he's running after you, and you are running in circles like all the videos of private servers
Yeah that’s not true whatsoever. Plenty of videos on Kronos where they skip the pack as well. You must just be one of those moronic private server guys thinking Blizzard has it wrong and the private servers have it right.

Heads up: if you have the 5 piece bonus from giantstalkers it WILL fuck up the aggro on this fight. took me forever to find out that was the problem.

You put your pet stay, attack something then if you pet passive it will return to the location you made it stay.

Zach I think you can get the key, but most people don’t want to waste their time running the other places, since there’s no good loot.
I'm having to bite this bullet as well RIP lvl315 skinning. Also fairly sure the key is 1 time usage so you'd have to keep grouping to get door keys.
