This movie gave me a core memory, I used to visit my late grandmother a lot before she moved in with us. So, I'd get to see my 6 cousins on my mom's side too. This movie was also one I hyperfixated on, meaning I'd always watch and rewatch it along with quoting it. My 4 oldest cousins used to pick me up (not at once) so I could put my hands and feet on the ceiling. They then would sing the spiderpig song as they moved me so I could walk on the ceiling, it was so fun and always made me laugh after

That’s so sweet. What a wholesome memory. For me, it’s been so long since I last rewatched the movie that I think the only thing I actually remembered was spider-pig. I think it’s impossible to not forget at least some of this movie no matter how many times you’ve watched it.
Alan's Simpsons caricature is horrifyingly accurate
Tom Hanks is a multi dimensional being. If I remember correctly, he played about half the characters in Polar Express. There’s probably just a Rick and Morty style citadel of nothing but Tom Hanks.
He played basically every adult male character in Polar Express and did the mocap for every character, including the children

Still remember going to the midnight showing of this back in 2007, the thunderous applause everyone gave at the end is something I'll never forget
Saw this twice when it came out! I won’t forget some of the younger audience members singing “Spider Pig” during the end credits. I remember specifically on the day the film opened, I walked into an earlier screening of the film (assuming it was our showing we were supposed to see and were missing out on) - thankfully, I didn’t walk in during a huge spoiler, but I distinctly remembered it was the “bug snapper segment”. I had seen it in the trailers, so I already knew as to how it would play out. I just stood in the side entrance (the vomitorium), watching the scene unfold and then glancing toward the audience as they laughed; it wasn't long before my mom dragged me out of the theater and into the one we were supposed to go into. Although I saw the scene out of context, as it ended with Bart talking with Ned, I had a good impression as to where the scene went when I finally watched it again. In hindsight, it’s amazing to see how well the film still holds up - considering that pandemic we went through. Hopefully the sequel does it better, assuming it gets made.

11:18 I remembered the first time I watched the family friendly cut of The Simpsons Movie. This is the first time I watch Homer showed his middle finger. I laughed so hard in my entire life and I'm glad that I knew about this in this video. Thank you, Razzles.

Me too! I remember seeing the trailers attached for certain children movies I had seen back in the day and was obsessed. There was one time when I got out of seeing Shrek the Third with my neighborhood friends and my next-door neighbor (because it was her birthday) that I spotted a Simpsons Movie donut poster and we all posed for pictures. I think I also remember seeing the theater display statues at one point. Not sure if we have pictures of those too, but I do remember getting pictures with the donut poster.

This movie has almost my age and it's unbelievable how memorable and iconic it still is 17 years later

I didn’t watch the Simpsons that much growing up but I have a story. I accidentally switched this on for like 3 minutes a few years ago. The scene where Homer watched the wedding video, made me cry. With absolutely no context and no knowledge of the Simpsons, that became the first and only scene where I cried. I was like 13 too so I probably wasn’t insightful enough to realize the importance but something about that scene drove the tears out of me.

This movie was one of 3 DVD’s my family had in the car whenever we went on road trips, so I’ve probably watched it a thousand times. Glad to see a Razzle commentary on it.

This movie being so good after years of downward spiral in the show is a testament to how freaking good the original writing team (who they brought back for the movie) was. The first 8 years of the Simpsons is some of the best tv ever and this movie was a nice recapturing of that

Other than that, there aren’t really too many movies I’ve actually seen many more times than that - save for The Nice Guys, Sausage Party, Halloween (2018) and Rocketman. I remember having a Dr appointment in Portland, The Simpsons movie had just came out and I think I was like 8 maybe. Was wanting to watch it so bad, my mom knew how much I liked it, and said that later that day after the appointment we can go to the theatres and watch it. Was so excited, Rarely did I ever get to go to the movie theatre. Even after we had gotten back from the several hour trip, I was so excited and kept asking my mom, I guess I eventually annoyed her too much from asking if we can go, cause I remember her getting mad and saying we aren't gonna go now. Good times.
I saw the movie with my Grandma in theatres when I was 10, my grandma was SCANDALIZED by the Bart scene. So of course my brother and I tortured her with "Bouuuntiful peeeenis 🙏" for 15 years. I think of her every time i watch this movie

Fun fact: The scene where Abe gets the message from God in the church was originally meant to be Marge, but the writers decided against it because the scene would be too uncomfortable to watch and Homer not heeding the warning would be incredibly out-of-character, so Marge was swapped out with Abe to make Homer's casual denial of the vision a lot more understandable.
