Good day of fishing. When I used to fish at the 87th St. slip, fisherman were prohibited from fishing on the north side. And on the south side you were only allowed to fish east of a certain point. Paid security used to enforce those restrictions. Has that changed?
@ I was hoping you could expound more like … by Buckingham Fountain, 18th street, MLK Drive, South Lake Shore Drive, Burnham Harbor… etc etc. Or is it like a secret spot that you cant say?
@@pequenioedgarito3067 I really don’t like spamming specific spots, especially since it’s private and there’s a very little chance security or CPD can kick us out which can hold me liable for misinformation. But it’s south on Lake Shore Drive heading towards Indiana

Respectfully, fishermen hate it when people spam fishing locations cause people are unpredictable and can trash a fishing spot and overfish it. This place is an exception since perch migrate to that spot but don’t stay there all year round (correct me if I’m wrong)

Yes, I post about fishing the same areas multiple times but if you want to know where this spot is, join the Chicago Perch Facebook group. I can give you tips on how to fish for them and all, but spamming “where this spot is” on a public platform demanding the location is disrespectful. I post for fun and have a passion for sharing my fishing experiences with everyone, and I keep my responses vague so that fishing spots don’t get overfished and to keep the integrity of other fishermen.

Video is deceptive. It's flat on both sides, but at least 10 feet above the water. There are ladders along both sides, but you still gotta know how to swim. Caution is absolutely the word of the day.

I notice there are alot of small dead perch floating.. are they all perch? Wonder if some got hooked deep and guys just threw them back anyway
@@whitebass16 yeah they’re perch. You’re gonna have small perch that get gut hooked and guys will feed them to the birds than keep as their limit
