Those underwater volcanoes sound insane. Mother Nature's got a lot going on, more than we'll ever understand!

It's more glamorous to look to the stars than look below (or within).

I grew up on the coast, best childhood. Deep sea mysteries make me appreciate the ocean even more.

Engagement with the ocean, whether virtual or physical, is key. People won't protect what they don't relate to. I'm glad you learned something new!

We have to take better care of our oceans. It makes sense that it's large coverage of the earth signifies it's large importance to the health of the earth and the creatures that live on it.

Reminds me of my scuba trip in Hawaii. Can't imagine what it's like thousands of meters deeper!

The ocean harbours impressive, diverse ecosystems throughout its depths

Makes me sad to think how much of the ocean we've destroyed already with nuclear testing/dumping waste into it. Still an amazing talk though, definitely sharing!

You know what's crazy? I live by the coast, see the ocean every day, but I never really think about what's way down there. I feel like this talk is going to have me looking at it differently

There's no way we know more about space than the ocean, that feels like an oversight

Where do we get the funding for ocean research? There's so many worthy causes. Governments and people can only give so much

We're trashing our oceans and don't even know what we're losing. Time to wake up, people!

Crazy to think there's a whole world down there we know nothing about. Makes you feel really small...

I went diving once in the Great Barrier Reef, so I thought I'd seen it all. But hearing about these deep-sea ecosystems? It's like there's a whole other planet down there we know nothing about.

This talk made me feel really excited but also super guilty... there's so many cool potential discoveries but the way we've been neglecting our oceans it's honestly kinda depressing

Am I just too skeptical to think that the solutions to our biggest problems could be beneath the waves?
