OMG this is really high level kata! Very good instructions. Many things I did not know - even after 33 years of Shotokan Karate. shows me I am still on my do. I think I will take this one as ad on for my next DAN level in 2027. Thank you so much for this. Will practice

For a woman Teisho is more effective and less damaging to us females than Tsuki applied to his chin, nose, groin etc, OSS ❤️🥋...

I replied to this, but the answer looks like it was somehow removed. I think the ends of long bones such as heel hands(teisho), elbows, knees, and heel of the foot all are the best things to strike with. They are inherently strong and do more damage than the punch.

Awesome! I can see the connection to Hangetsu. No??

There are some overlaps with Hangetsu. I love looking at katas and seeing connections.

@@shudokankaratefamily i was in the marines in okinawa from 81 to 86 i was very much into okinawan karate an was fortunate to get to see an meet a bunch of the older masters there. I went to a large karate tournament at falcon gym kadena afb an I watched master oda senior perform 3 katas hakutsuru, chino, an chino with a kama ,and a sai, an bo demo, An he explained the tonfa and nunchaku, oar, and tinbe also a few other weapons . The hakutsuru kata back then I dont believe was taught to any Americans at all ,,,, or okinawans wit h less than 4th or 5th degree . It shows how far karate has developed since then . Also met master kise .and I grew up by master tadashi yamashita here in mishawaka in . His family lived 4 houses from us he was in his mid teens then . Yamashita was very extremely skilled also met master j.c shin in osan so korea he was Chuck norris tang so do master I feel any person who truely wants to understand the martial arts needs to live in okinawa an study there its a great life experience an they teach kata and movements very different than here in america. They are very strick and very serious about training . Love this video you have she,s very good an sincere about teaching . Okinawa is beautiful and a life time experience go there .sincerely ,,,, rick r martin
