Anita Gillette was the quintessential Pyramid player! Even as a little kid watching "Pyramid" in the '70s, I enjoyed Ms. Gillette's appearances on the show. I love her congratulatory embrace with her civilian partner at 0:05. Thanks so much for sharing:)
And in just a couple of weeks, the $20,000 Pyramid would find itself competing against another Bob Stewart produced show on NBC, Chain Reaction. If I'm not mistaken, both Patty Duke Astin and Jay Johnson ended up there.
Adrienne won $200 on her first bonus round, then won another $550 plus another $17,925 for beating the pyramid for a total of $20,000 in cash & prizes. Steve O'Brien is the announcer. If you'll notice, come January 1980, the new carpet, new podiums, and new subjects which turn upon chosen instead of raising, would be added.
The $1325 total plus a color TV came from the fact that the previous Friday show had the two celebrities play a WC, and the winnings in it were split between the contestants(played for $5k), and a Color TV was the perfect 21 bonus at the time. David Graf appeared sometime on the Wed-Fri of that week.
Hope you have other 1979-1981 TV game shows taped off Chicago TV (Like Joker's Wild and Tic Tac Dough and Make Me Laugh and To Tell The Truth from WFLD 32, and The Nighttime Price is Right from WMAQ 5)
I do have an episode of Family Feud from that same date (12/25/79) that I'll post soon. If I run into anything else from that era I'll definitely post it.

She really cared!
@@jmiller297 I agree with you:)
20:06 When Patty told her *"MERRY CHRISTMAS,"* I teared up... 🥹🥹🥹 Plus, no one could rock the "chili bowl" cut like Jay Johnson!
Great way to celebrate Christmas when $20,000 is won especially on Christmas day '79
Love these shows..
Would love to see the remastered where William Shatner shocked the world!!!
Patty Duke was very beautiful here
glorious! thank you so much for posting!

YUP. They did. They also wound up on *"Pyramid"* together again in early 1983. #New25kPyramid #CBS
Such a great episode-thank you!
Your welcome
The $10,000 Pyramid

I wonder if this was the week Patty Duke met David Graf.
3:39 Patty really wanted that 7...
5:47 "This is the Indian chief who SAT." "Sitting Bull." Should've been buzzed. She used a form of the word in her clue.
Dick Clark died a long time ago
When "Hungary" came up, and the contestant rubbed his stomach, Patty said "hungry" and they gave them credit but it's really not pronouced the same.
Which AI app did you use to remaster this episode?

In the description: WLS is ABC 7, not ABC 9!
Thanks for catching that -- now fixed. WGN must have been on my mind.

I agree, you should upload those, Darryl.
This is the same week 𝘗𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘈𝘤𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘺 star David Graf was a contestant.
And Patty set the record for most money given away by a first time celeb in a week which Joanna Gleason then broke three months later.
