some of the lyrics are a puzzle but it seems to be a song about a controlling and abusive lover. Brilliant and atmospheric record that deserved every bit of its success. I haven't been too into this band for years now but they got me with a relatively new track called "Be a Rebel".
The 50,000 views are just the same 700 people watching this over and over again 'cause it's so good. (Plus like 10,000 of the views is probably from me and my dad alone 😂) This song rocks.
If anyone wants to know what '80s dance/pop music was, it's THIS along with (and I'm open to criticism...) "Blinded me with Science"-Thomas Dolby, "Telephone Operator"-Pete Shelley, "I Ran" - Flock of Seagulls, and (my favorite...) "Erotic City" - Prince!! I know you have your opinions, fine, but you smiled at my selections... Mary Jane Girls, Climax, Klimax, Madonna, Bel Biv Davoe... "Never trust a big butt and smile..." Enjoy, fellow '80s people! Back when MTV actually showed videos.......
"Telephone Operator"? Never heard that one. I don't know if I would consider all these tracks "dance". I have never heard Thomas Dolby on a dance floor but New Order and Flock of Seagulls, yes, One of the most brilliant and highly danceable records of the '80s was Romeo Void's "Never Say Never". It absolutely electrifies an otherwise tepid dance floor.
Now I Understand , the song of these music , from New Order , title blue monday , its about the battle or attack , On pearl harbor , data 7 september 1941 , the " pilot " ; speak , wat he live and feels . => ( You hear the rythme of a Airplane Chase - Low flight with Gunner Fire ) . Kind regards earth human and starseeds . Greatings from Roch.... Namaste .

No. I'm same. I was really into this band in the '80s. Even Kate Bush is back on top of the charts now because of her song being used in some t.v. series.

I used to go out to gay Bars 4 Nights a week in the 80s and Not now but those were great times!
Excellent
I love the sound of the remake version of this song but the lyrics are sad. It seems it's about physical abuse and control. That's how I view it.
