It feels so weird that people who were teens in '80s are now in their 50s - 60s. Time really flies huh. Well, for sure the 80s were great in many ways, but i think every era has its pluses and minuses. I'm pretty sure 80s teens were not aware they were living in what would have been later described as the best moment ever for being a teen. In every era we tend to idealize the past (and/or sometimes the future), indeed losing something great about our present. By the way, in the 80s medias would nostalgically idealize the 50s the same way we are now idealizing the 80s (ever heard about Grease, Dirty Dancing, Back to the future, It the original novel and so on?) So let's just make the best out of what we have, use our interesting time to do our best, enjoy what we have and fight to change what we don't like about it.
