I'm definitely in the winter darkness rather than the holiday spirit but I'm learning to honor that too.

Persians around the world celebrate tonight that's called YALDA, means longest& darkest night. We celebrate by eating Pomegranate, which is sign of love & FERTILITY. Watermelon which is Green outside& Red inside& black seeds for Better growth in Spring and Summer. As child we used to sit in circle and listen to stories told by grandparents to wait for magics happening in darkest night of the year. I hope Persians see the LIGHT in Iran after 44 yrs of darkness SOON. LOVE & LIGHT TO EVERYONE AROUND THE WORLD 🌎 💫

She brought me into her circle more than 40 years ago when all of what you just said could still get one beaten or killed (and still can in some places), so I have reservations about bringing my Earth worship out in plain sight (High hills, low dells, low lights and incantations spoken in a low breath).
The attitude of acceptance is upon us, though, it's still just at it's beginnings. Important for us not to become what we have beheld.

I really love how you bring these ancient traditions into the now and are reminding us of them and how we can implement them. Don't relate to the cold hard months in winter here in tropical part of India, in fact here they're the most pleasant time of the year, super festive and lovely! march-may is actually the most difficult time of the year as it gets pretty hot here. But i still love the message :) definitely have been feeling the shadow work energy intuitively 💖
yes! I vibe with everything you share. my xmas traditions are very simple and nature based now. and I, too, have shifted to buying hand made (not in factories) and organic fabrics and natural dyes etc. It feels so amazing to have a wardrobe that reflects my relationship with nature. I am even slowly shifting to a move towards tropics so my winters will not be so survival mode for body and mind:) northern climates are beautiful and I love winter but even here in northern ca I deeply love picking sour oranges from my small urban backyard and so looking forward to living in climate w abundant fruits in winters:)

I am very new to all this, all my life I was raised apostolic penicostal and I have always felt out of place/not my true self. I was always drawn to to this path but never pursued it due to it being a major sin to my family. Finally a couple years ago I stepped away to follow my heart and it lead me to your channel and listening to you I have never felt more comfortable in my own skin. I will say it's been hard to shut the doctrinaited part of my brain off and my families echoing voices in my head making me question if I'm "doing something wrong" but I know in my soul I'm where I'm supposed to be. I used the reminder of my PTO from my job for this Solstice. I had been thinking about how I would structure my physical Daoyin practice and my spiritual ritual practice for the day. This has been a tremendous help in reorienting my mindset. For the Winter Holiday, I asked my Daughter to play me some of her favorite piano songs and record them for me. An immaterial gift of immense value to me. I personally find it rewarding to ask more for experiences than gifts, when someone makes me ask for something anyway lol

I love the knowledge you share. Your explanation of the seasons always sits in my soul to be the truth rather than what I was brought up to believe. Thank you so much for sharing❄️where I am in alaska the sun barely comes up to the tip of the trees and is dark by 3:30. I am taking this dark time to reflect and make all I can with my hands. Art, journaling, making vanilla extract ,herb bundles, soap, lotions, kombucha and tinctures. We are spending this winter dreaming of the new gardens we will be building in spring for our family and for the food pantry in our community that allows ppl in need to take what they need without the state being involved. We need more ppl to be more conscious about consumption. I look forward to your videos. ❤thank you so much! 😇

I listened to this video as travelled through the Derbyshire peak district in the Heart of the English countryside.....on a wet windy winters afternoon .....and your voice and wisdom were the perfect commentary to the journey.Through the rain lashed hills past sleeping woods and hedgerows and down into stone built villages with wreaths on doors and lights at windows your words took on a truth and purpose that i had to tell you how your magic became so meaningful with the winter scenery ......Thank you.....and Happy Solstice to you and yours.

Recently, I've deepened my connection to the earth so much and made efforts to talk to the trees and live more in alignment with nature. I feel so much more in tune with my feminine energy, sensuality, and spirituality and just feel so blessed to be a part of the earth, it is truly so beautiful and magical beyond words. You taught me that we are a reflection of the earth as the earth is a reflection of us and that alone has opened so many doors for me. I still have a long ways to go and lots of shadows and blockages to work through within myself to become even more connected to all of this, but thank you for igniting my journey. Me and my commercial Christmassy ass feeling guilty, thank you 🤣 I love and keep in mind the seasonal celebrations and this k they're awesome. We definitely celebrate the regular north american holidays though. I really appreciate spirituality that is certainly based upon something that tangibly occurs yearly
I definitely also internally believe and treat spring as the new year. So weird to do it in the dead of winter. Uninspiring too.
Don’t feel guilty, just have awareness! I still love Christmas too I just order differently and don’t use plastic/have a living tree etc. you can still have the holiday spirit simply with more mindfulness for the earth!

I usually try to do baked goods or a diy craft as gifts for family + friends. I have some brown paper bags from the grocer that I am using to wrap my gifts too! Then I can I decorate the wrapping for each person.

Church was the modern day version of social security originally. When the rich felt guilty they gave all of their surplus to the church to give out to the poor.

Not Christians… Catholics created Christmas- then it leached over to other denominations. Most denominations don’t consider Catholics ‘Christian’
For me the church as a whole is just one large mostly toxic entity. I don’t pretend to understand the distinctions between denominations. Seems to me like none of them are really holding the true values and teachings of Christ consciousness sacred
