One of my tricks when I draw is I use guidelines. I pick out the basic shape of what I’m drawing and draw that and add in details and stuff like that on top of the guidelines. I also recommend drawing the shape of the body and legs and stuff BEFORE you draw the clothes, it helps to get an idea of how the clothes will fit around the character’s figure. I also do this with the hair and head. I try to get the full shape of the head before I draw the hair, it makes it look more natural.
I like the galaxy sweater aphmau from the first couple episodes of mystreet! Also tips- When I make a head I make a circle then start to make the chin and cheeks. then hair. Then face.

Poppy Seed On your music one. To me I like listening to songs with lyrics. If I was doing a Aphmau fan art I may listen to Faster Car as it reminds me what the basis of my drawing is around. Now this helps me so I have no promise if it helps anyone else. Also when you see a picture you like try to take a picture, even a mental one would work, so that maybe that one day you can’t think of background ideas just look back at your pictures (just try to be different so you aren’t copying it exactly.please and thank you). The last thing I could add is watch speedpaints, I used to just skip until it’s complete but watching them can give you an idea of how you can improve your style. Ok I’m done now have a good day :)

A good tip for artists is to be confident with what you draw. Nobody starts out drawing extremely good. You just have to step out of your comfort zone sometimes and find techniques that could be better for you. You don't have to do something another artist is doing. You do what makes you comfortable and you should be fine :)
One of the biggest tips that helped me first get started is to draw guide lines, that way you have an idea of where you want to place the features. If you have a circle tool- starting off with it is helpful if you're a beginner! Also, eyes are difficult, so go at your own pace! Honestly, I do eyes similarly to the way Jess does, and they're basically dot eyes with a curve around them! If you ever have trouble with a piece, don't be scared to start over.
Tip for drawing Sketch an outline before drawing the real thing like a light, less detailed, really messy but readable (like understand what lines are) sketch then draw over it (you can still adjust the pose while drawing over the sketch) :3 Make sure you know what your going for like see what you want to draw in your mind :3 Also for drawing hair draw little hair parts behind the head to look more like that have hair xD and don't be afraid to try huge hair cause sometimes it looks really good
well actually i think you shouldn’t make any adjustments on the actual lineart layer. it could make it look messy and not fit in. first, make a guideline, robotic looking layer, then sketch, then lineart, then colouring, then shading.
When you draw the face to make it easier you mark it up. Like this- draw a vertical line marking the middle horizontal line marking the mouth and eyes then draw a circle roughly marking the shape of the face. Then draw on top of that.

First off, your really good at drawing Jess!! Second, a tip that I have is that start with drawing circles for the head, body, etc. Then start with the face, and work your way down. I recomend drawing the face and body without clothing and eyes then after that go in and sketch the eyes, clothes, and hair then go in and trace and color it. Good luck to new artists and remember everyone has their own art styles sonits okay if yours looks different. Everyone's sttles are unique ✌

Here’s a tip or 2! ~ Focus on the body shape if you are trying to improve, this means the hard part is done so now you can focus on hair and eyes! ~ Think about what your drawing as you draw. This means that you focus more and it turns out better! ~ Don’t use completely opposite colours to shade. This means that it is easier to blend! I hope this helped! ^~^
It's really nice seeing the old videos back. Of course I love the role plays but it is nice seeing her actual personality in front of the camera again.
Tip to anyone drawing! Relax and don't pressure yourself! Don't give yourself a time limit because it will pressure you and give you stress. I find drawing peaceful so this wouldn't be ideal for drawing. And work on anatomy, it's better to have a style that matches, rather than to have a really pretty face or arms and have a really awkward looking pose or body shape. Don't compare yourselves to other artists. I struggle with this rule myself. So I wouldn't be the best when asking about this. There you go! Have fun drawing!
A little drawing tip from me I think if your drawing you should start with the mouth or eyes just because you have a base to draw everything correctly :) BTW I love you aph/jess

Circles are your new best friend when it comes to most drawing styles. And patience is key. If you don't think that you are improving as well as others, it's okay. Everybody works differently from each other. Just know that you are doing a wonderful job and keep doing what you're doing.😊 P.s. The coolest outfit, in my opinion, is the one wear aphmau had he fingerless gloves, the black shorts, and purple shirt. Ly aphmau! The only tip I have is what I'm friend (teacher) told me "Just pretend it isn't what you are drawing, think as lines, shapes, and angles!" This advice got me into my first art showcase. I drew a picture of myself when I was 4 years old.
You should always start with shapes if you are going to draw a person or any humanoid being. Steps: If you are making a boy, use a square or rectangle for the base of the body. For a girl, use a hourglass-type shape for the base of the body. For the limbs, use long rectangle to form the arms and legs. And for he head, use a cycle or oval for the base. Then smooth out the edges, make so tweaks, and BOOM, you got a body. ^-^
Oh I know this is just supposed to be for simplified bodies, but I think using something like an upside down triangle would work better for a male base since guys’ bodies usually “curve” in. I mean, the torso does come out a bit at the hips, even if not to the same extremes as a girls’, but for basic shapes I think a triangle works.
Me as an artist have some tips for y’all :3 1- Draw when ever you can, this not only helps you get better but it steadies your drawing hand so there’s not as many shaky lines! 2- I suggest sketching in traditional. This may just be because I am a traditional artist but I find it helps me out a lot! 3- Practice hands, feet and eyes! It will help your artwork look more professional. 4- Practice posing, it will look a lot more professional if the poses are more dynamic and not as stiff! 5- Keep a journal of idea for what you want to draw, like for OC’s, story illustrations and stuff like that!

Ahh here's my tips! 1) do a sketch, yeah, I know it takes more time and 'why should I have to draw it twice?' But if your going to make a mistake with anatomy, heights, proportions etc. it's better to do it on something that won't be a pain to fix. Trust me it'll save you a lot of freaking out over a mouth that is way too low or a head that's too wide. 2) don't detail first. Draw out the full outline and then the things you want to, it can' make a world of difference in your anatomy skills if you know the mass of what your drawing on, there's a likely chance that you'll make arms or torsos thinner than they should be if you use their clothes as their body 3)take your time and don't try to cram drawing if possible, I find that if I am forced to draw for extended periods that I lose my eye for mistakes and then look back on what I did and huff because I really messed up something because I spent too long on it at once and ruined something that could have been more

A tip for the head is to is to to draw lines on a seperate layer for a layout of what the head is so its not as hard to make the head or again on a seperate layer make a circle or sqaure or shape close to the head and draw from there(sorry for my spelling

A little drawing tip from me I think if your drawing you should start with the mouth or eyes just because you have a base to draw everything correctly :) BTW I love you aph/jess

Circles are your new best friend when it comes to most drawing styles. And patience is key. If you don't think that you are improving as well as others, it's okay. Everybody works differently from each other. Just know that you are doing a wonderful job and keep doing what you're doing.😊

The coolest outfit, in my opinion, is the one wear aphmau had he fingerless gloves, the black shorts, and purple shirt. Ly aphmau! The only tip I have is what I'm friend (teacher) told me "Just pretend it isn't what you are drawing, think as lines, shapes, and angles!" This advice got me into my first art showcase. I drew a picture of myself when I was 4 years old.

BreeBear Well, some of her fans may or may not have Instagram. It would be best if she announced it on TH-cam.
You should always start with shapes if you are going to draw a person or any humanoid being.
Steps:
If you are making a boy, use a square or rectangle for the base of the body.
For a girl, use a hourglass-type shape for the base of the body.
For the limbs, use long rectangle to form the arms and legs.
And for he head, use a cycle or oval for the base.
Then smooth out the edges, make so tweaks, and BOOM, you got a body. ^-^
Oh I know this is just supposed to be for simplified bodies, but I think using something like an upside down triangle would work better for a male base since guys’ bodies usually “curve” in. I mean, the torso does come out a bit at the hips, even if not to the same extremes as a girls’, but for basic shapes I think a triangle works.

Me as an artist have some tips for y’all :3
1- Draw when ever you can, this not only helps you get better but it steadies your drawing hand so there’s not as many shaky lines!
2- I suggest sketching in traditional. This may just be because I am a traditional artist but I find it helps me out a lot!
3- Practice hands, feet and eyes! It will help your artwork look more professional.
4- Practice posing, it will look a lot more professional if the poses are more dynamic and not as stiff!
5- Keep a journal of idea for what you want to draw, like for OC’s, story illustrations and stuff like that!

Ahh here's my tips!
1) do a sketch, yeah, I know it takes more time and 'why should I have to draw it twice?' But if your going to make a mistake with anatomy, heights, proportions etc. it's better to do it on something that won't be a pain to fix. Trust me it'll save you a lot of freaking out over a mouth that is way too low or a head that's too wide.
2) don't detail first. Draw out the full outline and then the things you want to, it can' make a world of difference in your anatomy skills if you know the mass of what your drawing on, there's a likely chance that you'll make arms or torsos thinner than they should be if you use their clothes as their body
3)take your time and don't try to cram drawing if possible, I find that if I am forced to draw for extended periods that I lose my eye for mistakes and then look back on what I did and huff because I really messed up something because I spent too long on it at once and ruined something that could have been more

A tip for the head is to is to to draw lines on a seperate layer for a layout of what the head is so its not as hard to make the head or again on a seperate layer make a circle or sqaure or shape close to the head and draw from there(sorry for my spelling

My tip would be to start with the head so its easier to get a head shape you like.
