- Here's a method for creating procedural clouds in a style inspired by the films of Studio Ghibli. The effect is created solely inside After Effects and no plugins are needed. I hope you found this tutorial useful and if you have any questions or comments, let me know! ✌️

Yeah! Ghibli style in AE🤩
A rare treat! 😎
nice tutorial but its hard to understand without showing steps with full after effects interface
thank you bro love you
Yoooowwww! Great to have you back bro!
Appreciate it!!
Awesome!
Amazing 🤩 ❤❤❤
Good tutorial ! thx
awesome stuff! longer in depth tutorials would be amazing!
great tutorial
Thanks a lot! 😁
Awesome tutorial! I am trying to get the clouds to loop seamlessly but it seems tricky with the animation on Offset (Turbulence). Any tips on how to achieve this?
Unfortunately I don't have a way to make a perfect loop for this one, since the Offset you mention is making pretty random patterns. The only thing I can think of is having the first and last keyframe of the Offset (Turbulence) parameter be the same? Although that would probably complicate things a lot once you start having several cloud precomps at different intervals... Honestly, this was not intended as a loop animation, only a possibility to make it as long as you want/not limit it to 30 seconds. But if you figure out a way how, I would love to know 😊
i forgot if roughen edges have evolution control or not but if it does then you can just keyframe it 360 full circle
Is there a vid like this for procreate?
hello! i would like to know how did you do the "change the phase by moving the precomp back in the timeline"? i dont follow that part lol
I get that, it could definitely have been phrased better by me 😅What I meant was that you change the starting point of that particular precomp, so it would be offset from the previous one. Simply pull the precomp back a couple of seconds in the timeline, so that the pattern will change and not look identical to the previous precomp. Hope that makes sense :)
im so sorry im folowing all of steps untill suddenly i realize something, why in the world when i do the roughen edges just like u did but in mine project theres a black edges on cloud, do u know anything about it, cause im new in this editing stufff and i feel like ur video is so cool and i try my best to do it....but i got stuck on it now cause of the black thingy that comes up :)
bro your tutorial is very amazing . Can you provide the project file ,so can i practice in home
It's available to buy the whole project file on my Gumroad ☺ mathiaslynge.gumroad.com/
I have been experimenting with this technique for two days and still, somehow, my turbulant displace is not displacing as much as yours. The wispiness of your clouds is more wispy! sigh*. beautifully done.
the effect roughen edges are free
Can someone please explain me (keyframe offset(turbulence) part i can’t understand that
Sure! "Offset (Turbulence)" is a parameter you can adjust in the effects panel when you add the Roughen Edges effect to a layer. When you add the effect the parameter will be set to 0,0 , 0,0. What I meant in this part is, that you can add a keyframe for this parameter in the beginning of the comp, then go forward about 30 seconds and change the first number to 1500. So it will start at 0,0 , 0,0 and then 30 seconds later it would have changed to 1500,0 , 0,0.
Hope that makes sense!
thanks sir
Hello, when i adding CC vector blur image, it's Destroying whole image and it's do not look line as yours. i tried 2-3 times, same AE version :/
Hmm that's strange :/ Did you apply the CC Vector Blur effect to a separate Adjustment Layer and not the cloud precomp itself?
i cant find the inner shadow!
You can find it by going to Layer > Layer Styles > Inner Shadow up in the top of the screen :)
What is ur comp size ?
1920x1080 👍
@@MathiasLynge_ thanks man
How can I find this image ??
Which image are you refering to?
Do you have a training course?
I don't unfortunately. But it is something I'm considering doing in the future 😊
@@MathiasLynge_ you'd be great at it 😊
