Thanks, that's EXACTLY what I need to turn on my gas fireplaces as auxiliary heat sources!

Thank you. This video is very helpful.
I just had a heat pump system installed and I’m looking into adding Kumo Station myself in order to get the most efficient set up possible.
It appears in this video that the kumo station has its own wireless interface, and the only other things that connect to it are the outdoor sensor, and all the thermostat wires except for the power wire which should be on its own 24VAC transformer?
I’ve been trying to find a wiring diagram or a video showing the kumo station being installed but no luck and Mitsubishi has not been a great resource.

don't bother, people are doing this for the huge rebate. I got this setup for a 2-ton hyper heat system and got $2500 back. The Kumo station is not cheap at around $600+ and it will need it's own wireless interface at $150-200 each. the heat pump system will now need a wireless interface, if you don't have one already to make it all work together, the outdoor temp sensor is under $100. you are better off just get a wifi thermostat for your boiler/furnace and control it independently from the heat pump system. its not pretty as you might now have 2 thermostats, but it is a lot cheaper and lot less headache as Kumo Cloud has it's own connectivity issues.

I got 2 zones of baseboard, one for each floor. Got 2 outside heat pumps, one for each floor. My installer said I can only hook up one zone? Why if i got 4 channels on kumo station. Can i just add second wire for other zone? I like to have both floors switch automatically to heat with cheaper way. (Obviously not now with oil prices!! Lol) but hopefully when it goes down again.

Hi Mike, Nice video. Can you send me a link to a wiring diagram for the Kumo Station? I had one installed when our boiler was running on propane. We have since converted to natural gas and I would like to disconnect the Kumo Station/Cloud equipment without impacting the boiler or the two mini-splits we have.

Hello Jamshed, we do not manufacture the kumo Cloud or kumo Station. You would need to contact Mitsubishi Customer Care at 1-855-923-3631 for assistance with your request.

Thanks for this video! How can I change the switch-point temperature that dictates when the integrated controls switch from the heat pump to the oil boiler? Is it done through the kumo cloud app?

Good Afternoon Andy, This would be accessible in the Kumo Station advanced settings. Normally, the installer would set these during the initial setup. Depending on your home's heating situation, your contractor could come back out and adjust these settings. We normally leave ours with oil only below 25, heat pump only above 40 and heat pump primary with 5 minute delay in between 25 and 40.

@@adamhunt1513 wouldn't you get no heat if the outside temp is between 25-40?

mine has message saying "kumo cloud is connected to an adapter that does not receive temperature readings. This device is running correctly". Can you pls let me know what could be the problem? Thanks

Mine to, I think it because it doesn’t read boiler temperature
