First 6 new maps were released approx every 4 months..the next two new maps will eventually average out being released at more or less the same rate lol, it's all smoke and mirrors. They can’t even add portal guns to the base game, to at least drip feed the content. Which makes me think it’s a last-moment decision to extend support for the game, which otherwise would have ended at S6.
Remember when games had DLC drops, then devs immediately started working on more content right after a DLC drop? In a perfect world DICE should drop both maps at the start then work on and drop a surprise 3rd map mid season but DICE would NEVER do that hahahaha
Horrible map design - can't get into it. Where' the grit? Such a downgrade from BF1 and BFV in terms of level design. Just barren wastelands.

The game was never designed for that many players its a squad based game. Gone are the days of sticking with your squad like Bad Company 1 and 2. Miss those days. EA completely broke the formula of this game. They need to bring the old Devs back. All we wanted was BF3 or BF4 with better graphics. That's it - and they TOTALLY deviated for an entire DECADE! You really gotta think about that. These Harvard Educated Executives needs to be fired. Following trends and alienating their core base. I skipped BFV due to all the social justice stuff, but appreciated the level design, and I just can't get into 2024. Looks like a downgrade. Crazy how the times between content updates is longer than what we had during the premium model but we get like a fourth of the content.
I really don't care at this point, just give be back the premium model, let me pick that up for 25 bucks on a discount and supply me with decent amounts of content every few months. This lack of support and playable new features is not worth it, even if it's free
all the big bf youtubers wanted "live service" and this is what you get "no content"... the reason why the removed 3rd party servers was not because admin abuse, its so the older games wont last as long, and you will have to get the NEW game

For a BF BR to work, they need to make sure the core multiplayer experience is the first priority. There needs to be way more content in the base game at launch than 2042 and that will give them the ability to take the time they need to implement BR mechanics and release it after the core game is already out so people are a little burned out on the original content before playing the BR. Not too mention I would also like it when it's actually ready and not half baked. It should be free as well, making firestorm not was a really bad call on their part. I don't disagree with BR it just needs to be done right and also not the main focus.

We are not in an echo chamber. People are complaining for a reason. If it seems negative it because is just that. I'm very negative about game but I try to be open to the idea that it will be better. I'm just not seeing any signs of improvement inside Dice. I'm having a blast in other games but being frustrated about my former favourite franchise.

In defense, most people didn't think we'd get a Season 7. Or even a Season 6 or 5. Most of us were expecting DICE to just give us what they promised at launch so that they couldn't be sued but then just abandon the game altogether. So getting these extra seasons is a bonus. And frankly, and apology for a bad launch.
Sadly, complaining gets clicks so even if DICE puts out a perfect game, someone will whine about it..
Dice could have add ALL vault weapon into the main game but they like to fiddle with their "balancing" shit.
EA also laid off quit a bit of people so they may not be able to do a battle royale as a regular pat of the game

7:35 The excuse will likely be budget cuts due to the ongoing Gaming industry market crash. If the game gets a smaller budget, I would rather it go on one place. DICE and EA are more than welcome to prove me wrong but I will remain skeptical of every time these companies sound ambitious
Just saw that some other lead dev had jumped ship from BF2025. I just want to know what they fight about. And as stated before by everyone, there is no need to fight over BF-developmemt. Just cut out BF2042, take all other battlefields ever made, mush it into a ball, squeeze into a diamond and it should be BF2025
Was playing some BF1 and wanted to see what was going on with 2042(I never bought it after that “beta”). The animations and graphics look so bad. I wouldn’t doubt it if someone told me this came out before BF1. Hopefully the next game ain’t terrible.

So everyone forgot how long season one took to come out? I stopped playing this game because DICE WAS RIGHT! The community is as bad as they say it is to let this shit go unexcused for this long. When they announced bf 2042 i was expecting to have bf1 but in well.. 2042 haha but they came out with something that looks like team fortress 2. And like a comment i saw before they say this is a earth with bad weather and resource shortages but its just foghting in places that look not war torn.

An in this case yeah DICE did make a mistake here. I think visual for 2042 is still redundant, it’s not gonna make the RPK, Type88, and M416 any better either.
