While I agree with people that say Ruby's arc was over too fast at the same time I know this Volume won't be the last time where Ruby's mental health becomes an issue, she's not 100% and she most likely never will be again. When the subject of Penny is brought up again is when we'll see her next breakdown, after all she still doesn't know Jaune killed her.
This. Her issues weren’t resolved, not even close. What we saw was her choice to believe in her ability to face them. Anyone dismissing the significance of that choice and how it changes you has never had to make it.
Everyone keeps bringing up Ruby not knowing that Jaune killed Penny, and I’m just unsure if that will as big an issue as people think it will be… cause then people will keep building it up in their heads and then it doesn’t happen? What then? I’m just not sure Ruby will hold that against Jaune. Not when Penny voluntarily sacrificed herself. I think in the end the only issue for her is that Penny is gone. Not specifically how she died. NTM, Cinder was the one who fatally wounded Penny, Jaune simply finished her off at her request.
@@kriscerosaurus thank you!! I was really trying to wrap my head around it because I knew her traumas wouldn’t just disappear like that after this volume but I couldn’t find the words to explain what actually happened until this comment. Wonderfully put
I think she may have pieced it together after Janue's outburst about how he was the only one who could do it in episode 7, and yeah like others said she won't hold it against Janune, and I doubt she'll have as big an issue in the future as she did in this volume. It'll be like Yang after Volume 3. We'll she her mental issues pop up here and there but her friends will be there to hold her hand and keep her moving forward. We won't have whole volumes with her trying to figure things out.
Goodbye Neo, you'll be one of the series most remembered characters for quite some time - maybe we'll see you again one day, maybe we won't. Somewhat & Juniper spinoff series please, RT...they're too cute to just never see again!
Happy to see Raven & Summer were still friends, despite the tension between them in that scene. Twitter is having way too much fun making GIFs of Raven looking Summer up and down like she's undressing Summer with her eyes.
Ruby is Alex. The Ever After only reacts to Ruby's Emotions. They are in the Sequel, "Through the Looking Glass". As the Cat said "It's hard for the Heart to forget". At the end, right before Ruby chooses Crescent Rose, she is both looking at and remembering her old weapon as Alex. She is also more than likely thinking of going back to being Alex.
I am quite certain that The Smith is not Alex. I think Alex chose to have her life/spirit put into her dagger so that it could be used to return life to Jaune, to become his younger self and still retain all the experience he gained in The Ever After.
This volume was fantastic so many awesome moments and ruby's arc was very good btw will you be checking out the crossover with the justice league? I recommend it at least i seen it and i think its very good
@@colvamoon6962 he didn't say that. He said Ozpin didn't know, that it was a Summer secret. He never said he did or didn't know. He might have only been an intermediate stop.
@@jeffreysmith236 but Qrow would've told Ruby about this. Pretty sure he'd at least give SOME hint a out what happened, regardless of if it was Summer's secret or not. Even if he was a pit stop, Raven had left the family for years. And to suddenly see Raven WITH Summer? And he'd also have no reason to be near Salem's palace. So no, I don't think Raven teleported to Qrow, or that Qrow was involved in any way.
@@colvamoon6962 Qrow has this little thing called guilt. Let me pose a potential theory to you. While not part of the family, Raven still helped with missions, especially when it came to Salem. That means at this point, Raven did not know what she knows now: Salem can't be killed. Now, Raven can only portal to people she bonds with, and 2/3 of them were in that house. I believe one of two things happened. The first, and I find least likely, was Raven left the family/team on orders from Oz to infiltrate Salem's inner circle and spy for him, and purposely bonded to Salem for 'quick mission resolution'. That would explain who she portaled to. The second, and far more likely, was Qrow was in on the plan, flew to the grimmlands to serve as the portal anchor, and he either stayed with to help, or left to be their escape portal. I believe he left because he didn't know Salem was immortal from the battle that was sure to happen. Raven and Summer battle Salem, Summer might have actually beaten her by petrification, but her own follower knocks over the statue, breaking it to 'kill' her, so she can come back. Raven learns Salem can't be killed, Summer is captured and tells Raven to return to the others with this news. Raven flees, Qrow asks what happened, upset, she has them go to Oz to tell him that Summer's gone, and it was her fault for helping her. She asks Qrow to break the news to Tai because she can't do that. She doesn't tell Qrow Salem can't be killed, but confronts Oz by herself to say it, and that's when he tells her he already knows... And tells her about their past. Raven understandably loses her mind since she sent her friend to her death because Oz hid stuff. Meanwhile, unable to really cope with losing a teammate and the part he played in making it happen, Qrow begins drinking regularly. In his fever dream from Tyrian's venom, Qrow relives the moment he told Tai Summer wasn't coming back... Because he knew what went down that night. You might notice that Tai really has no love for Qrow, isn't welcome in their home, gave him the worst look in Volume 3 when Qrow wanted to talk to Ruby alone. Tai blames them all for what happened to Summer, but Qrow softened the blow by being there for Ruby. But did Summer die? Her weapon existing in the ever after seems to hint that she might have. Fans hold out hope that she's still alive, but captured. Lots of theories on Summer becoming a prototype of the hound that's still in there but disfigured. We'll learn the truth one day, I'm sure.
RWBY & J are now followers of the church of the blacksmith, the god of therapy XD

I think she's on the road to recovery though. She's got her confidence and cheerfulness back

Maybe EC Meyers will write a book about Somewhat and Juniper.
And I think we'll see Neo again just maybe when she re-emerges she'll start having people call her Trivia again.
Just tell the Brothers that their mom misses them.
And take Salem along for an introduction, and Ascension.
I like that we saw a different side of Roman with Neo's memory of him.
This is the day we waited for.
This is the day we open the door.
Love how it ends on those notes.

Ruby needed a little time off and some therapy with the Tree Goddess.

Not too sure as of yet. I am going to be busy for the next few weeks.
So perhaps Qrow flew to Salem's palace, and Raven opened a portal straight to it.
Unlikely. Qrow doesn't know where Summer went.

Offer Salem a chance to go to the Ever After?
now they have their plan to defeat salem a small kindness can make a big effect just like a small act of deception changed her
