This helps so much when it comes to figuring out precise cornering,Watching the hand cam gave me a better idea of how to corner rather than just pulling the stick to the left.
Very alternative heretic Xbox contoller setup (claw) that became my go to in any bike game. Easy and simple to use, doesn't require pushing buttons as much when cornering. R1 - Clutch L1 - Shift Down B - Shift up A - Rear brake Right stick left/right - L/R lean Right stick up - Sit (direct / hold) Right stick down - dab (I think this is very useful for air control, auto dab is still on. It's semiactive) Left stick - turning and F/B lean. Fine tuned gain and linearity to find sweet spot for left stick control.
Unfortunately you have to take your finger off the lean stick to shift, I have been trying to avoid the way he plays but it seems the only reasonable way to not let off the right stick. big sad..
Why do you move your left thumb stick up and down if it isn’t mapped to anything? (left joystick y-axis) Based on your 2022 setup and control video, you left that axis blank. Is this just muscle memory from MxSim?
Its hard to explain but where i try to turn progressively rather than jamming the stick left or right, i find it much easier to just rotate the stick around either from the top or bottom to the side rather than gently trying to move the stick left or right only to turn
@@LyndsMX Very interesting. Thanks for the response. I've watched some of your other videos too, and I noticed that you tend to mirror your right thumbstick even when you are pulling wheelies. Have a good one bro!
Whatever you say crabman, i just use my controller as the people at Sony designed it. Altho my hands are too big to use that technique as my index finger can not reach the triangle properly. What size are you hands? 8? However i did find this video extremely useful as your gentle touch on the right stick gave me good insight on how to properly use my stick in hairy situations.
Regular grip, middle fingers on the triggers, index fingers on R1 and L1. A lot of muscle memory carries over from Rocket League, of all things, so I have my sit on L1 because that feels like air roll for example
lmao RL is the only thing I play on controller and I did the same thing on L1. Unfortunately got used to my left middle finger on trigger and my right is index on trigger and I move that finger to R1 for the half flip roll. Makes this game hard as I have to have right middle on trigger for how many buttons there are. Currently trying to use his shifting buttons as of tonight and it feels terrible but idk what else to try..
@@socal828 I feel you, I was the same in RL. After playing enough Bikes though, I adjusted to the middle finger on the trigger on both sides; I can't even remember which trigger I needed the index on. Now I use middle fingers on triggers in RL because even in 100 hours Bikes has refined the muscle memory for fine control that much. With shifting, I have X on upshift, square on downshift. This comes from car racing, where pulling a sequential lever back shifts up and pushing it shifts down. My R1 is the rear brake only, so with my right thumb working the rider lean under braking I find that I can curl my index finger down to square to downshift. It's basically what Lynds does in his hand cam video, except I only use my index on square in that specific scenario. I do have to take my thumb off the right stick to shift up, but it's not terrible
I've put about 120 hours into bikes, and since the new beta I can't stop crashing, and it's not sliding out in corners, its mostly landings, or tripling out of corners, I come up short all the time. I've tried to stop scurbing and whipping to see if that was my problem but it aint. Any tips?

Thanks for making all of these great videos on MX Bikes. It's really encouraged me to get better at the game and now it's way more fun. Keep it up!
ok the fact u play claw makes what u can do in the game even more impressive. thats.mad
glad to know im not the only one that plays games half claw
Love your hands 😘
Nice change up on the videos 👍
hey man what suspension settings u have? You can case many jumps without crash...
bro I still can't understand how people play claw and can still have full control over the buttons and joysticks 💀
hahah ragers himself setup guru always changing stuff
I handle my controller just like people who fly RC planes do. Everyone has their controller position don't be ashamed
