    The Original Osmo pocket is a little beauty. Still one of my favourite cameras.

    It seems to me that the noise level is lower when using dedicated recorder like Zoom H1N as oppose to plugging the rolands straight into A6700 as in you recent videos.

      Thank you for your comment, it is much appreciated. Could you tell me what type of noise are you hearing? Thanks.

      @@WilliamHenryAlbert Just very slight constant hissing. It might be just wind noise moving trees or different gain level. Have you tried directly comparing them two? For example: th-cam.com/video/GimEhbQ21Ns/w-d-xo.html compared to th-cam.com/video/oKfdmYbreSs/w-d-xo.html or th-cam.com/video/wxwBmjzDH0M/w-d-xo.html

      @@tomino1791Thanks for that. I will listen with headphones. My hearing isn't as good as it used to be so it's possible I can't hear it. 👍

      @@tomino1791 I have listened and as I expected I couldn't hear the hissing. I asked my wife to listen and she said she could definitely hear it. I have used a graphic equaliser on the sound and I think I may have overdone the treble!! Thanks for pointing it out.

      @@WilliamHenryAlbert Thanks for the videos. I'm considering system like that for myself as I'm mostly shooting personal videos when travelling with family and I don't have time to prepare perfect rig for every scene. These roland in ear mics seem like a nice compromise. Have you compared them directly with the in body mics of the camera? Are you satisfy with them quality wise? Are they quick to setup with the camera when you're on the go moving from one location to another? Thanks

    Nice clear sound ! How did you block wind noises ?

    • @WilliamHenryAlbert
      @WilliamHenryAlbert  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Walking Sounds. The Roland mics are supplied with foam pads which fit over the mics. This cuts wind noise but does not eliminate it entirely. It wasn't too windy that day.

    The audio sounds great. Have you recorded a separate audio track with the Zoom or are both audio and video recorded with the Osmo Pocket. I am relatively new to all of this. Hence the question about how they all work together.

    • @WilliamHenryAlbert
      @WilliamHenryAlbert  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Paul, thanks for your comment. The sounded was recorded on the Zoom, with my Roland CS10 EM binaural mics plugged into that. I then synced the audio with the Osmo pocket audio in post. I then deleted the Osmo pocket audio. Hope this all makes sense. Cheers!

      @@WilliamHenryAlbert thanks for your reply. That makes sense. Can you auto-sync audio in Imovie or is it only a feature of Adobe Premiere? I haven't tried it out.

    • @WilliamHenryAlbert
      @WilliamHenryAlbert  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@paulkonye8380 Not sure if you can autosync in imovie. I always sync audio manually by saying something at the beginning of the clip like "take one" and find the spikes in the audio track and sync the two audio files together. It's pretty easy once you do it a few times. I delete that part of the audio and movie clip.

      @@WilliamHenryAlbert Hi Bill, love your channel, just subscribed, I'm also new to this, I too have a pocket, H1n and the Roland's - I have the pocket 2 with do it all handle - you can plug the Roland's straight into the pocket. Keep up the great work!

    Hello. There is a big difference in picture quality between osmo pocket and Panasonic LX100 during the day. Which of the two would you choose?

    • @WilliamHenryAlbert
      @WilliamHenryAlbert  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Although the osmo pocket has great picture quality, I would choose the Panasonic LX100 for it's flexibility and options. Thank you for watching :-)
