"110% destroyed": Caretaker of Kusu Island shrines says fire destroyed everything

- Mr Ishak Samsudin, the sixth-generation caretaker of the shrines on Kusu Island, says the shrines were "110% totally destroyed" after a fire ripped through them on Sunday night (Apr 17). The journalist is insensitive. He is just a caretaker only and where is he going to get the funds to rebuild the kramat. The kramat is a simple and humble location to remember his ancestors. Please dont ask him about the cost. He is already very sad.
But he seems keen to know about donations cos insurance payout like not enough so the reporter is not insensitive.

*Reporter should asked question like after got donations and insurance payout and rebuild it then if fire happened again then whats the plan cos we need to know the extend of coverage and whats the prevention steps also this is tourist site so Tourism Board must provide some insights about the plan*

I think it's very inappropriate to ask a victim how he feel when a disaster occurred. Do you expect him to say he's fine, happy or what???

Insensitive and inexperienced interviewer, and you can tell that by the way her questions were poorly phrased, and her monotonous voice. Obviously the victim would feel devastated, what’s the purpose of asking about how he felt? And the cost of repairs?
What’s worse is that it’s from CNA. You would think that the questions are being vet through before the interview. I hope CNA can seriously consider looking through these interview questions before the victim is being approached, or at least have a more compassionate, and emotionally-connected interviewer.

the location of the keramat is at kusu island, mate. the cost of transporting the materials to the location of construction. plus, the additional cost for clearing of the debris to the mainland are some of the factors that needs to be look at as well. so stop being stupid!
