Upili is built on the understanding when instilling self-confidence/self-esteem in Youth with Disabilities, we must create a supportive ecosystem around them.
This ecosystem begins with the family unit. When we empower these key figures, the impact of our counseling sessions is amplified and creates lasting change.
By working with parents/caregivers, Upili aims to challenge and change deeply ingrained societal misconceptions about disability. Many parents, influenced by cultural bias or lack of information, underestimate their child's potential.
Through targeted interventions, Upili helps them recognize and nurture their child's abilities, fostering an environment of encouragement and support at home.
