But the problem is the owner and Fifa or any football league in this world wants more matches. Because it's easy money for them. They treat football club as money grab business. Then sell it to the next person that offers more money.

The Premier League needs to take a 2 week break, at a minimum, over the Christmas period. Let the players relax, have some time off with their families, and come back recharged for the second half of the season. Likewise, scrap the Carabao Cup. It’s redundant and not necessary. The "League Cup" is the Premier League, not another variant of the FA Cup.

@@ghostc1pher Ever since the gap between the end and the start of the season got even worse. However, don't forget about "Project restart" when everything was put into place- players became essential workers because they brought enjoyment when it ran risking their health yet no one so much as cared which extended the season past the usual date.
The schedule has only gotten more conjected, we have expanded competitions and news one taking the place of friendlies with the Club World Cup to take place in-between the seasons to a larger scale. Every tournament is larger than before, sooner or later all cups will be gone probably in place for other competitions.

It is in everybody’s interest for all players regardless of level to not play more than 60 games a year. It gives other players opportunities, fans benefit in seeing who else is coming through, teams have more minutes to pass around, players are rested, games are livelier, fewer injuries, etc. The leagues and FIFA can have as many games as they want. Player contracts can be based on a 60 game out put and the bonuses structured around the teams progress. It seems this is where we are heading. This is why football in England needs a regulator. To balance out the needs wants of the game. We also need a center weight to FIFA.

We’re quick to talk about rotation, but I think the stupid things here are the registration rules. Lots of competition allow you to register only about 25 players (some exempt young players within a certain range).

Amount of games is not really the problem. It is a problem yes but let’s be honest why does Rodri or any other player have to play every game of the season? The squad should have some kind of depth because it’s obvious the big clubs earn more and they normally have a deep bench . The only reason I am for less games its because it is too much to care for. But do these players forget how they get paid so much?

Totally disagree...players want maximum money and play when they want to...they feel they are the privileged lot...how come these players get upset when they are on the bench? They will be protected that way and play less games but they throw a strut when they are on the bench...Clubs need more money as wages are getting unaffordable, hence the ESL inception happened...hence the games have increased...players will not reduce their wages by 50 percent which would have been the best scenaro for clubs and fans but that wont happen...coaches need to start playing the squads more so there will be games for everyone

      1. Most clubs aren't on a budget to accommodate 40-player-squads since they're fan-owned, and not getting unlimited cash injections from Saudi Arabian or American owners. The expenditure includes not just the wage bill, but upscaling the club facilities, amenities etc. Since you can't sign 40 superstars, even after boosting the image rights ownerships and increasing merch sales, clubs won't be finding revenue easily anymore. And these clubs despite playing in all these competitions get a far lesser monetary benefit since most of the money flows to UEFA or FIFA. This was one of the reasons why the Super League was founded.
      2. Most players now are on contracts that were drawn up before the influx of matches came in.
      3. There are too many games going on for the average fan to keep track. It requires multiple subscription services to even have the choice of watching multiple leagues. Fans these days end up watching just one league, hence missing out on the other competitions. If not the fans, who is benefitting from increased matches?
Going back to the old format, or joining the Super League is the only solution now.

"This shouldn't be about money" 🤣🤣 .. what about the players and agents making ridiculous requirements from clubs that forces the clubs to have to make more money. What about club managers giving their players a break? what happens when managers argue for 5 subs, but play the same players over and over. listen, I completely understand player welfare, but what responsibility do we put on the managers? City, for example, has about 7 midfielders in their team, not to mention their u21; what happened to rotating players? Isn't that why you got them?

They should go on strike and see how they will be QUICKLY replaced by young people. People dont understand that there are MILLIONS of young boys waiting for an opportunity to show what they can do. I personally find it ridiculous that people paid ridiculous sum of money will want to go ln strike. Change is inevitable, football must be change to include as many people as possible. The rules do not say they HAVE to play, it just says there will be more games, if u dont like it, negotiate your contract/pay package to reflect the number of games u wish to play. Many players stay on the bench for a whole season, they can get a chance now.
More games means more opportunities for youngsters.

The wages are outrageous to begin with and the fanatics are too stupid to realize that more games only means more mediocre matches at best because most of the times the players the same fanatics wants to see playing are injured for weeks if not months at a time so in the end, we ALL end up paying outrageous prices to TV or streaming if not for live stadium seats.
Quality over Quantity should be what we ALL would want to see and not the other way around.
Well, that and some better and more consistent refereeing. Right now, nobody knows how the referee will feel about a foul, yellow/red card, or a penalty because they can interpret the rules how they see fit.

Play more games as required with bigger squads and more substitutions.. the more the games the more fun, the more games the more money in the pockets of the owners.. the more game time, the more players are happy.. plain and simple

I want a fan-strike and complete boycott of football over agent fees, excessive transfer fees, excessive player wages. I want a fan boycott over the money ruining the game.
More games and extended game time, along with foreign player caps and extended substitutions and player squads means more younger players will get opportunities. Who cares about what these mercenaries think. They play for the money, not for the love of their clubs or the game. That phase, for these guys, has long been gone.
I would also like a mandatory purchase of lower tier league talent by the main league clubs so that there is a pathway between the leagues. There is no point purchasing foreign players with good players in the lower leagues languishing to nothingness. We need to bridge the gap between the leagues, control and curb the money in the game (excessive).
Remember, an average person is expected to earn 1-3 million in his career, player salaries cannot exceed that. Even if we cap lifetime earnings at 10 million, I feel it is still logical and sensible. Some of the numbers I've seen are shocking and deserve fan backlash.
Kick money out of the game and you will only see love, affection and dedication. Players, after retirement, can be coaches and agents and seek career longevity from there... not this messy cesspool of a situation. It stinks... multimillionaire player who enjoys life's excesses is complaining about extra work. Cry me a river.
